Far too romantic; this is a neo-classical piece. It doesn't need loads of vibrato and expression. Altogether too heavy, and has the feel of lacking a unified direction. Really needs a conductor to pull it together....
having an outstanding group of artists such as these. conductors oftenly get in the way. is not needed. I 'm a viola player in a string orchestra and believe me some times the conductor hinder our way and work against the art of making music adding things and remove or omit a lot of details within the partiture that makes me really mad. so I say. with great artist behind the musc stands who needs conductors¿.
@@edwinschirp3536 orchestra musicians love to think conductors are “ on their way”....Ego. Apart from that, your artists dont play together but often out of tune. Try Ansermet recording. On UA-cam.
No offense, but.Seriously lacking expression and tempo .Especially in the opening. Subdued is nice, but not here. It seems you don't understand the piece.
Dear orchestra: you might read the metronome markings in the score instead of playing way too slow. You should also realize this music is neo classical. You play way too romantic. Clearly you dont understand the music.
Gorgeous. The piece is about Apollo and it sounds like sunshine. Wonderful performance of this jewel.
Beautifully played. Just romantic enough. Excellent. Love the black & white video, too. Stravinsky would approve.
FANTASTIC. COMPELLING. IT GOT INTO MY FLESH
Best interpretation I've ever heard!
Estos músicos tocan con todo el cuerpo!! Bello. Beautiful to see musicians playing with their entire bodies.
No como Heifetz o Menuhin. O Paco de Lucía. O Benedetti Michelangeli.
Awesome!!

Oh! No conductor and still it is not together??
Well, Ansermet did not bother that much.

perhaps he is just a fuddy dutty
Well. YOU are RIGHT. But musicians love to show they dont need a conductor. Ego.
Apart from Orpheus. That was another level in the 90s.

Exercice très difficile et parfait pour moi

No conductor, it gets slow when you “try” to stay together. Normal. That is why conductors have to beat always a little bit ahead.
