They are true survivors. They made it through the end of the 80sto the early 90s grunge era and beyond. Good music just holds up.

Yep, sadly some of the only one's from the 90s that made it through that hell and back. Grateful as hell they did, especially John. My dad told me a story once how he expected him to pass at a young age, thank the Gods he didn't.
This was the song that my daughter "discovered " apparently the chili's are now a multi generational band... she couldn't believe that mamma knew and loved the chili's 😆😍
We're older, never had kids, but this would've been one of those, "NOW I see why I reproduced!" moments!

2006. Killer guitar solo! They dolled themselves up in the video just in case the old school feel failed to come across -- Elvis, Buddy Holly, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Parliament Funkadelic, David Bowie, Alice Cooper, New York Dolls, The Clash, Danzig, Motley Crue, Nirvana, RCHP!

The music video is them recreating legendary Rock & Roll performances, they did a great job recreating live performances from Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Cream, Prince, Parliament-Funkadelic, David Bowie, Sex Pistols, The Misfits' Glenn Danzig, Twisted Sister, Mötley Crüe, Nirvana, Slade, Poison and The Red Hot Chili Peppers themselves.
This is my favorite RHCP song, how the video goes through the anals of rock history, Flea is killing it on bass and John's guitar solo is mind blowing
The Red Hot Chili Peppers are a great band. I saw them live probably a dozen times in the late 80s and then 90s. Crazy shows, you kids today have no idea. :)

DEFINITELY in my top 5 Chili Peppers' songs. And I love the video, too- it's fun to pick out the bands and rock movements they're parodying in it. Another awesome RHCP song is "Zephyr Song," if you haven't listened to that one yet. 🤘

This album was on constant repeat for me when it came out. Songs like "Desecration Smile", "Strip My Mind", "Turn It Again", "Make You Feel Better", "Tell Me Baby", "Stadium Arcadium", "Wet Sand", "Snow (Hey Oh))... man I need to go listen to that album... one of the best of the decade.
Whole album is amazing. Every song is different. John is such a monster on this album, very diverse.
new album in less than 2 months as well. Black Summer looks promising for the album too.

This almost 40 yr old band is still a top entertainer. Just as you, though much more recent. Because I don't use social media, after watching you since you began and making dozens, maybe over a hundred pitches for singers on your comments section, I have given up, but will continue to enjoy your unique style. You stand out head and shoulders from other reactors with your wit and almost naïve enthusiasm. Well done my fellow Commonwealth cousin. 🇯🇲🇰🇪

Yes, I was hoping he’d get the different artists they were dressing like. Anthony looked like he was channeling Iggy Pop too at one point.
Otherside by RHCP is another great song.
I haven’t been to a lot of concerts, my time spent hustling so I could stay fcked up, but one of the handfuls of live shows I saw was RHCP’s when I was 16. It was absolutely one of the most amazing concerts ever. They’re so dynamic on stage. I swear Anthony Keetus turned me into a chick with a long hair fetish. I’m not the type to fall for celebrities, like I hate Stan culture, but Anthony Keetus was one of the few who could make a stan out of me. Like how is he in his 50’s or 60’s and still hot as fck? I’m convinced he must have sold his soul.
Ironically my kid sang a line of this song last night, asking me if I knew the name of it bc it was stuck in her head. Then she asked what the chorus meant and omg I’m such a fcking prude. I ofc explained as matter of fact as poss, but was blushing the whole time. I literally was a s€x worker in the past, but have my kid ask me a s€x related question and I turn into a dumbas$.
Flea is explosive bass player, he's spontaneous improvisation is top notch

They're coming up on their 40th anniversary next year, having survived through 5 separate decades and a LOT of drug use in their early years, they're an awesome band. And they still just do it for the love of the music and the desire to spread that joy. IDGAF what anyone else might say, I fkn love them!
Their cover of Stevie Wonder's song "Higher Ground" is smoking!!! Hard to beat an original but they did!

This is definitely ion my top 10 of favorite music videos. The jumping from decade to decade with the style of bands is a really imaginative touch. I'm sure there are some band images that are from the same decade but they're also iconic styles of the decade, so it fits in well with the vibe. Also the Band themselves do a great job of LOOKING like the kind of band they are supposed to be - not just with the costumes but in how they express themselves; the facial features and everything. An overall very good video.

I saw them at Mile High this year... My god can they play.,. I have never i mean never heard a band play an open stadium with that energy and sound.... Stomping the rain puddles with your neighbor and just signing along at the top of your lungs. I have seen many top bands and after 20 + years years of listening to them I finally got to see them live. I will never not suggest if you get a chance to see them live,GO!

Best RHCP song of all time in my opinion
The beat in this song are very similiar to Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers Mary Jane's Last Dance from 1993. Then again Petty's beat at close to The Jayhawks -Waiting for the Sun from 1992. Both Dani California and Mary Jane's Last Dance were produced by Rick Rubin. An American rock radio station asked Petty to sue RHCP for plagiarism wihich he denied to do
