I’m feeling way better now since stopping taking the meds. Finally back to normal.
I’m not to where I need to be here yet, but I’m going to post more often until then. This is what I want to do, and am going to do it. But better content. Way better! I’ll keep you updated on the progress.
Check out the video description for more info, including everything I used for this video, and ways to contribute if you’d like to.
Thank you all for being here and have a great day!
Have you ever thought about CBD oil Rob?
Awesome Rob, God bless
Do some fishing man 😀🙂👍
It's good to see another video from you Rob, I'll keep you In my prayers for things to get better.
You are mastering your video making software. Very Impressive.
I am someone who prefers to be alone and think in peace. After watching the end of this video I can tell you are also that type of person. Ive lived in cars, vans, campers, and sometimes just a hammock between two trees. It's a freedom like no other in a world of indentured servitude.
I’m definitely an extreme version of that. I’m always alone.
Me too❤
@@RobTheNomadwe are lone wolfs more peaceful
Same here, I definitely wouldn’t make a UA-cam video about it though, not if you paid me
I just started going car camping alone. Before I did it, I thought it might be a bit scary, but no. I actually enjoy it quite a bit. No cell reception and not a lot of people near where I stay usually. It feels very freeing.
I'd like to add that while I normally skip adds - on this channel I never do, so that it brings more income to Rob.
Thank you!
I hope this channel blows up. You truly are an inspiration. Thank you.
You have figured out a great sleeping arrangement. Much better and safer than a tent. Smart thinking Rob!!!
Glad to hear the med withdrawal is coming to a end. Very nice set up with the fans ,screening and padding for your bed. The chair for sitting on is also very nice. Having screens is a must this time of the year, I could see the mosquitoes as you were showing us the bed set up. It is nice to see you feeling better and doing better. Having a place to sleep and wheels to get around makes for a simple carefree enjoyable kind of life 😊
What a great set up! So happy you're doing videos and feeling the freedom of having a vehicle. Sending love and prayers as always.
It's wonderful to see how greatly you hv improved your situation. I'm thrilled to see your video. I'm sure many prayed. I did. This does the heart good. Thanks for sharing and the best to you!
dryer sheets, for anti-cling/static are very cheap and mosquitoes HATE the scent of them. I used spay adhesive to mount space blankets on the side windows. It looks just like tinting, but you can't see thru it at all. Front and rear reflective sunscreens give complete privacy in the mini-van. Pee jars, kitty litter-pan and plastic bags, handle wastes I never bothered with so much as a cooler. I covered everything with old $1 sheets from the thrift store.
Thanks for the ideas.
Well done Rob, keep going man, and stay off of those meds, they’re bad for your health, I know from experience!
I'm cheering you on, Rob man. When the youtube money comes in, you could save it up and build an off grid homestead, a log cabin, tiny home, whatever. I saw online that you can buy 5 acres off grid in West Virginia for around $16,500. You can do it, man. Your views will go through the roof.
That’s been one of the hopes for the future!
Awesome Rob ! I think of you often.. Glad to know you’re doing good!
Sending love and prayers Your openness on your UA-cam channel is inspiring.Remember, you're not alone, and brighter days are ahead. Stay strong and keep the faith.🇵🇭
I love how you're getting it all set up!
A nice little nest that's safer and more substantial, and durable than a tent.
There's even ways of heating yourself during the winter, like rechargeable electric blankets and such.
A lot of people have turned to car, van, and truck camper living, to save money, because rent is so high.
Some even cook in their cars, and remove the back seats to make a bed, storage area, lap table, a small bucket porta potty, and cook area, and bowl sinks for hands and dishwashing, by just using the extra large salad bowls and water containers, along with body wipes for simple body and hair washing.
There's so much you can do, even with a car.
Just be careful where you park with the windows down, for safety.
But I'm so happy to see what you're doing to make a nice, comfy, safe, tiny home for yourself.
🙂🙏🏼♥️
Not a smart idea to cook in a car. I've seen a couple videos like that.
Ain't nothing like Freedom!
God Bless
I wish him well, but being homeless is not freedom.
Hospital surplus got a thin gel mattress; Army-Navy store I got a liner out of an old fatigue jacket (I use it for a blanket); and a foam pillow. Last week bought a air fryer since the oven hasn't worked where I stay since I been here. I can make fish sticks and fries. In a world where 25 bucks doesn't get you much, that's how I live at 66. Thunderstorm late last night blew the heat out; being thankful for small comforts.
Glad to see you smiling and doing well.
Dude, hell yeah Rob I love to see this. Keep your head up and keep on pressing on!
The more I watch Rob's videos the more I enjoy his commentary and philosophy on life. Rob has been brave enough to step forward in life and do some things that we all want to do, but never will.
Anything to up the comfort level It's a big Plus 😊
Hi Rob, you have done really well solving all your sleeping problems. And it cost you so little! Thanks for demonstrating so we can copy. You seem back to your” old”self; quite bright. Good to see. I’m so happy now l can see you every week again. Maybe one day you could do an hour of Nature sounds to put us insomniacs to sleep. We are heading into winter here in Australia and it’s great to be able to snuggle down on Sunday nights and watch your beautiful nature segments. More please my friend. Jill 🦘🦋❤️
Thank you! I have another channel just for long nature sound videos. One of these days I’ll be able to get it going!
I have found it helpful and cost effective to use magnets and black plastic trash bags to cover the windows. Both items bought at the Dollar Store.
Get you some roof racks and then a roof luggage carrier. Be a nice storage spot for your stuff
It is fantastic seeing you again. Last time I saw you were on the trail. So good to see you again buddy. Stay safe
Did we meet on the trail, or from the videos?
When on storm sometimes we have to sleep in our trucks. (Power line restoration) it’s easy to black out the windows with large black trash backs. They are easy to store also.
After many years of life, I’ve finally discovered I prefer the mountains, trees and water love streams of water the very most, and prefer being alone. Thanks for showing me beautiful places. God bless you
You're a real inspiration dude, I really mean that. Seeing you do it gives me hope that I can make it too. Thanks Rob.
I know what it’s like to be down in the dumps and then find a spark of inspiration….That feeling of wanting to actually live and try to make a change is a beautiful thing. Best luck to you I hope you find what you are after. Cheers!
Great video. Glad things are better for you. You have a unique style. Nothing is neither good nor bad but thinking makes it so. Nature can be very healing .keep up the good work. Best wishes . Den.
I made my 1st set of window screens using copper with . Goes right in window tracks. Now I made my window screens from gutter guards cut to fit in window tracks. I glue screen on. Peace and love brother
Yeah I’d like to make something better at some point. I mean these screens work great, but it would be amazing if they just fit in the perfectly.
How far you've come is truly inspiring, keep on keepin' on brother.
I'm happy to see you still on here! I'm still praying for you and I hope all is well.
Some people use their channels to read books outloud to viewers. You have this great deep voice that’s very soothing. That may be a way to pick up some xtra views🤷🏻♀️ idk. I listen to a lot of audiobooks and none of them have a better voice than you. I could just imagine you reading Henry David Thoreau’s WALDEN!!! That would be the PERFECT book for you to read outloud while you sit in the beautiful places that you do. Idk….just a thought.
Anyhow, I love your car set up👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I have some other channels lined up with other things. Maybe I’ll add that to it. That would take a lot to do though.
Yes he does have a very soothing voice! ❤
There are many great ideas being suggested, mine is a cot tent and try wv delinquent property tax sales for obtaining property by paying the property taxes , plus some fees and waiting a time period for redemption from the owners, if they want it back, if not you will obtain a deed for the property (check with local courthouse for date of sale and list of properties).
Krishnamurti: “It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.”
True, alas.
Amen!
Glad to see another video
Welcome back.We all missed your videos.
Great to see you again Rob. We love to see what you are up to.
Thanks for the moment of Zen Rob. Glad you're more comfortable. Alway a pleasure to hear from you and to share the beauty.
I love the new living, I still love that Studio On The Hill back in New York. Live on my friend
Hey Rob,
I live in West Virginia I know what it's like living in a car cause I lived in my car for 7 months in the middle of winter snow everywhere at least I was warm and dry glad you got a car to stay warm and dry both wish you the best out there take care of yourself
Thanks Rob! Set up looks good as long as it works for you that's what matters. Pretty stealthy too, that's a nice bonus.
Good to see you again on another video Rob. I still think youd be much better off in a small camper van. You'd have a proper bed, storage and a kitchen.
Keep the great videos coming
I'm glad you weaned yourself off of Big Pharma. As usual, you always give us beautiful views of your surroundings in nature. Much appreciated!
I have a hyundai elantra and I lay my back seats flat so the trunk is open to the interior of the car. I then put my blankets and pillows on that to make a bed. I put my lower body in the trunk and have my upper body up towards the back of the front seats. It gives me full body room so I can stretch and roll over while I sleep. I like your screen window idea. I'll have to try that as I don't like mosquito bites or gnats. I hope you have a good day. Take care and see you next time.
He is back you really good at this many UA-camr can’t get amount of subs you have , just something about you people love .❤️ your honesty
Great to see you back Rob - you've come far from the snowy tent! Stay well Brother.
Glad to see you feeling better! This is a great set up and i like that you dont have to remove any seats to make the bed work. I love the nature shots at the end of your videos. So peaceful.
The nature shots and the sound of the water flowing in the end were very peaceful.
If i can give you 1 more tip, If you sweat allot, wear merino wool shirts ! I love them, you can wear them for weeks and they wont smell (bad) you can just hang m in the air and they just dont smell. Also remove 1 front seat should let you sleep full flat.
Very clever ideas!
Much love Rob.... 💜
Very nice setup. An eye mask would be great to keep it dark. And maybe a cheap portable solar panel would be good for using with that fan.
Wonderful to see you winning..
Nice bed ..helps with mental health
I am in the UK but understand the battles you fight ..I to fight the same battles..
You are not alone...things will get better
Thankyou for the information. I will be doing this when I retire, so I am paying attention.
B very vigilant especially in those woods. Get strapped up and stay strapped up. Things in the woods come in 4 legs and 2 legged. The 2 legged are the most dangerous. Great job on your upgrades. I highly recommend some rechargeable perimeter alarms. Don't FAFO! 7Ps brother
Might be best to camp out in a tent nearby your car for more comfort when you can.
When in your car Blackout curtains are cheap and work very well. eye covers that are contoured to your face also help so that you're not using T-shirts. Earplugs and noise canceling headphones are good too. The background noise from fans obviously helps Cover over changing sounds from the outside like birds or cars. A good nights sleep is definitely the most important thing. u still look pretty tired. I don't like medication but I have used Tylenol p.m. and melatonin when I was really sleep deprived. The tent idea Will probably be the most comfortable, and give you peace of mind, since you won't be in a parking lot. With enough gear upgrades, I'm sure the set up and breakdown process of camp could be done fairly quickly every day. I'm on food stamps right now. See if you can get on that in your area. It really helps make ends meet day to day.
Yeah I’ll probably be doing more as I go. Camping is in the plans too!
Please, please, please watch the Tylenol PM. I work with people with dementia. Over-the-counter sleep medication’s are one of the contributing factors in whether or not you will develop dementia.
@@duvessa2003 y am i not surprised. yea it was just for an 'emergeny; situation... ppl in this country simply do not cooperate and everyones doing the wrong thing... at a certain point u have very few choices with what u can do...
You have a great voice for this. So calming and easy to listen to. I wish you much luck with your channel. I have just subscribed. 😊
Followed your journey from your set up in the woods to where you are now.looking 4ward to more content pal.
Great video. Great to see your spirits high. You are doing awesome.
Good job I like to see you working those problems out every time you solve a problem life is good
That’s a nice place you’re at. I like the car set up also.
The towels on the windows give it away that you’re in there. Maybe get reflectics and spray adhesive black material to the side that faces out. At night it looks like the windows are tinted. Enjoy your videos!
Looking GOOD!!!!
West Va is where my dad grew up, I've visited this beautiful and simple place for a returning retiree 😊
Thank you Rob. And I am glad you are doing your videos again,
Your car looks very cozy now. You did great with those screens! You might want to keep covering the windows for privacy but, for blocking light, maybe look for a soft, black-out sleep mask.
I am so happy for you! 😀 That's a great set-up for sleeping, and I know you are going to love the freedom your lifestyle is offering you. May your dreams come true and your goals be achieved. All the best to you. 😀
Nice setup Rob! The window screens are awesome.
Looks totally doable! Stay safe friend!
4:15 When I lived in my car, I used pieces of cardboard that I cut into the shape of my car windows (two pieces for the windshield) and used Loctite Fun Tak to help them stay in place. Works really well and very quick and convenient. Easy to store as well since they can all lay flat together.
Bless you, brother. Love from Australia. 👍
Good see that you have a plan. I like the setup. Simple. ✌️👍
You are probably the most minimalist person I've seen living in car. Makes it easy to be stealth. I never understood why so many others have their vehicles jammed with so much "stuff"....i would prefer your easy way of being minimalist. Take care.😊
Hey Rob, respect and care to you. Ive been watching your journey and enjoy seeing you getting on and moving forward. Have you ever though about making some videos specific to the wilderness that you are in? So calming to see this one at the end of your video. Big thumbs up and keep on kicking goals, Andrew from AUS
Yeah I have plans specifically for things like this. I’m pretty close to getting started.
Necessity is the mother of invention. God bless and protect you. 😊
You’re doing great man! Love the car. It’s nice. And you’re doing the common car living. Kinda a dream of mine. I watch so many people live in their car from roaming reckless, to Brent p, and I dig them all! Keep going you’re doing great. This is the true life not a reduction of it. Also invest in a power bank. A Jackery or something then you’ll have power all night for your fans and leave your car off. I’d recommend a Jackery 500
Thanks! I have a solar one in the trunk from when I hiked the AT. Keep forgetting about it. But I’ll check it out!
I have that! Its perfect for everything I need charged😊
staying in one town is much cheaper than constantly traveling, Use a bicycle to get around. A van has much more room in it for your stuff and you can stretch a net hammock in it (catty corner) Move with the birds, to avoid cold and heat. Food is free for the asking at churches and the SA mission. Clean up at the $10 per month Planet Fitness 24-7 gym. I lived like that for 3 years straight, on the $80 per week sales of my plasma. I used a college loan to buy the van. The's no interest on half time student loans, as long as you're in college at least half time. The payment on 3k is $30 per month. You can make $50 per hour, 1 hour per week, selling your plasma. The second 'donation" of blood per week pays only $30 and you spend 4 hours per week waiting instead of 1 hour. When you only donate once per week, you can call ahead and go to the plasma place when there's no waiting line
Isnt it really bad for you to lose plasma/blood so regularly?
So happy to see you’re doing well sir. Like the quiet interlude at the end.
Hey Rob! Great to see your smile. Keep on trucking man.
Buy some foil sunscreens for the front then cut them up for your windows.
Good idea. The Dollar Store could have those!
its funny how your car is more clean than most of the peoples car, great vid , keep it up
Rob glad your back. Can't wait to see what you're up to man. Have a good time doing it.
Thanks for posting! All the best!
Hey Rob! Looking forward to this new vid! 😃
That set up looks awesome. Glad to see you again. Thanks for the update.
Keep at it man! Great part of our nation you are in, beautiful state.
Best place I’ve been! And I’ve been to over 40 states.
Hello 🙏💯 Glad to see you are doing OK brother keep on with healing my brother eventually you will Manifest what you need to Achieve stay blessed Rob🙏💜💯✌️
You look Happier,.glad to see you again
Thanks for sharing this. Caught wife cheating recently and in the next 6 weeks I'll be joining you in my car until I can buy a van. This is simple and cheap
Rob, I’m so pumped to hear you’re back!!! Keep making content and we’ll support you all the way!!! Always remember there’s tons of people out here that love and support you. You’re special brother!!!
Finally someone who uses their back seat to sleep on. 👍 😀 I took a trip to the Grand canyon several yrs ago & I slept on my backseat. It was so comfortable‼️Got to have a chair.😀
Keep up the great work rob 🙏✌️
Thanks for showing us!
Happy to see another video Rob. So many of us care brother. Keep at it ❤
Great job man excellent car upgrade ideas.
Good to see you back Rob
I purchased some screens that pull over the door frames for the windows of the car. If I remember correctly they cost $20. for 2 windows. It was Amazon. I also cover my windshield and rear windows with aluminum foil insulation. You can spray paint one side black. That way it's not as noticable from the outside. Good luck and stay safe.
Thanks Rob.
Nice car Rob ! A buddy of mine has a little battery pack not too much bigger than a cell phone that can jump start a car several times , it might be something to look into since you don't have a solar setup . Stay safe !
Awesome setup you did great. Looks real comfortable for the night time sleep
Glad to see you again Rob! Remember you got this!
You got this, Rob.
