    I own it , just ordered it and it arrived , from ewheels in the USA , they have the hi-speed option that is 25 mph max speed,for 999 dollars. Drawbacks , it's very heavy and big , the range is actually about 33 miles at the 15mph average, I weigh about 210lbs, so maybe slightly higher than average . One of the biggest selling points of this scooter is the claimed 59 mile range, and yet your "complete" test didn't even test the range. Not a complete or good review without that info.
    The L9 will be competing with the Ninebot Max and it looks to be a much better scooter. But, there needs to be a range test comparison between the two. The claimed range of the Ninebot Max is 40 miles - but the real world range (in tests) is about 28 miles. It'll be interesting to see if the L9 gets anywhere near 59 miles.
    Also, charging time for the L9 is 3.5 hours ONLY if you have two chargers (the scooter comes with only one). So, you'll need to buy an extra supply to get the fastest charging.
    You might also want to set the Max next to the L9 in a comparison segment so a potential buyer can see the difference in deck size, height of handlebar, etc.
    Comparing to a bicycle is a total waste of time - all comparisons should be against the Ninebot Max - its primary competitor.
    P.S.
    Having the bell on the right side (same side as the throttle) is less convenient than on the left side (which would make it easier to use and is the side most scooters place the bell on).

    • @globaloneclick8221
      @globaloneclick8221  4 роки тому +4

      Hi Joey, first sorry for the "uncomplete" part about range, since L9 has features according to different part, we're trying to make this video more cohesive to which show most of them to our audience, it' just difficult to put all specific point just in one video. The tested range 59.4 miles by Inmotion is based on speed of 15mph, weight of 75KG, and they will work on more road tests for a more accurate data. Hope this helps and thank you for your suggestion!

    • @powerpopjoey
      @powerpopjoey 4 роки тому +2

      @@globaloneclick8221 Some manufacturers release mileage data that just isn't true in real world tests. The Ninebot Max is supposed to get 40 miles of range. In real world tests (electric scooter guide and others) it gets around 28 miles.
      I would think that a reviewer would want to test the range of the scooter to see if the claims from the manufacturer are true ?? Especially since range is probably the number one selling feature of this scooter.
      So, are you going to test the range or just tell us what InMotion says? When can we look forward to your range test?

I'm sure I can get more in "Eco"...just not sure how much more, because "Eco" is a bit slow, so I don't use it much. I haven't done any range testing in "Sport" mode, but I assume it will be less than "Drive".

    The L9 basically took away the Max and give it everything that the Max is missing. Max has no lights, slower and smaller.

    • @joshuamcpherson007
      @joshuamcpherson007 4 роки тому

      I looked at the Max, it was on my list. The L9 was available in October, so I ordered it. It's built like a tank, very sturdy with a comfortable ride...but heavy at 50lbs. It climbs hills no problem. I am very happy with my L9 so far.

    • @carbrickscity
      @carbrickscity 2 роки тому

      Not everything. Max has the seat option where the L9 doesn't. L9 is front rear drive which is inferior than rear wheel drive of the max. I prefer drum over disc (max wins for me in this case). Smaller is lighter is better unless you are a huge person (max wins for me in this case). Max is tested by many people for years and is a safer buy. Max has lights, just no turn signals. Both have same top speed so max is not slower. Max has custom firmware that could make it goes faster which the L9 doesn't. Max has tons of aftermarket parts and mods that could make it even faster and could have suspension if you want. Max probably has longer range in real world (as tested by some other channels). Max at least still hold on its own against the L9 in my opinion.

    Pretty much pointless to compare to a bicycle way more than the max. It depends on the rider and the bike itself, and it's not remotely a competitor of the L9. Should have focused on comparing with the max instead.

    Your friend was on a big crank during the acceleration / top speed test in the beginning, obviously he will lose its so hard to pedal to reach acceleration. If he was a "PRO" he would be on a smaller crank and only change to a larger crank later. And i dont understand why would he put 2 coke bottles on the bike and carrying a bag pack.

    • @MarkVictorson

      Because it's fun, and both are 2-wheelers.

    • @carbrickscity

      Because it's not nearly 3x the power. 1000W is just the max power. 500W is nominal. Max is 350W nominal. So not even 2x the power. Max power of the max is around 750W. Rear motor (Max) is better for hill climbing too actually. They didn't show a hill climb test between the two, instead they compared it to the bike, which is pointless.
