I can tell you first-hand that the Transteel 2700 is BY FAR the greatest welder I've ever owned/used. It literally paid for itself in under a month tig welding aluminum straight out of the mig gun. You guys that have opinons about it that have never used it, I challenge you to stop by our shop and fire ours up anytime you like. We are on Google and our address to our shop is right on there. We've owned Miller, Lincoln and ESAB machines and NOTHING compares to the quality and unbelievable capabilities of this machine.
@@shelbygrinders3839 thanks for the input I appreciate your comment and especially I appreciate your willingness to help some one by offering to try the equipment in you shop. Hat off to you. The whole point of this video is to show that the best welder is not a brand but a machine that fits the purpose. I agree with you that Fronius makes phenomenal equipment and if I would be looking for a MiG I would get Fronius machine as it would be the best fit for the purpose. In fact I do owe 500 amp Fronius MiG with 10m long push pull torch on it. That is the best machine for the task. However, when you forget about MiG machines and look at TiG equipment all of a sudden the difference is drastically reduced. I am not saying that there is no difference, I am saying that in my opinion for the task in hand, the difference in cost and customer service create situation where cheap Chinese machine actually makes sense.
@@shelbygrinders3839 Yeah exactly.. i own a transsteel 3500c and it BLOWS away everything ive had a demo on and the reliability is incredible.. So i was pretty annoyed about this video has its incredibly biased and just short sighted..

I have already replied to your other comment under this video, so I hope that you will be able to see this video through an other person eyes, some one with different circumstances and different needs than you. Other ways I would love to hear your reasoning!
I can tell you right now the cheap welder will not go near the fronius. Even if it's an older model. If somebody using both machines blindfolded can't notice the difference they shouldn't be using a welder!
I have bought from RTech Customer support is second to none. And there products are excellent value for money. Fantastic company to deal. My place of work have RTech welders never had a problem. And my work colleagues also own RTech welders for their home use. Always on the end of the phone. Wouldn't go anywhere else. As for your welder fault. It happens I've bought products from other manufacturers That have been broken faulty out of the box never even got to use them. Excellent video.
Fronius is one of the best welders I ha e used, I can't remember the model I think it was 4000 something, it was a synergic mig/mag, mma, tig water cooled. The biggest advantage of this welder was 500Hz setting allowing perfect setting and amazing arc.
Sure, I am considering to get one of those machines too. On the landscape of mig/mag technology they lead the way. Tig on other hand the difference in the price do not justify the difference in performance. Whole point of the video is to point out that the best welder is the one that suits your situation
I hate how you have to pay extra to "enable" the full functions of a Fronius just by entering some cheesy activation code on the machine. It's like buying a sports car but without the performance because you need to pay more to "unlock".
How do you like the HTP 220 Invertig? It is cheap and can weld thinner aluminum pretty well. I have had it for many years without any issues. Their support was very good when I bought it.
Thanks for your review also mentioning the support. Already I have a Transpocket180 where I'm quite happy with and so I was considering getting a Magicwave for Aluminium but now I having doubts if this would be the right choice to get a Fronius.
Do not get me wrong, they make brilliant equipment, very pricey, but brilliant. However if you are unable to repair it at ease it makes sense to go with other brand.
The only problem is here in Australia, a setup like a Fronius 230i with water cooler is over $11,000 without a foot pedal, And by the time you buy 3 extra torch heads ($230.00+tax each) and a bluetooth foot pedal (880.00+tax) you are almost $13,000. This is what is coast me when I paid for my setup.
Interesting...I have a Magic wave 1700 job bought about 15 years ago and have needed 1 pcb boards and an off switch replaced in warranty ( very very light use) and a Main PCB replaced out of warranty....still light use....
Yes, all equipment will brake at some point. Many people criticize me for being unfair towards the Fronius which is not the case as I own 3 Fronius machines

I am in Scotland and I never used Miller brand, in fact it all times I only saw one machine. Do not get me wrong Fronius makes excellent equipment, the point of this video is to illustrate that what is the best is highly circumstantial. That is why when it comes to AC/DC TiG in the range of 300A+ Fronius looses to cheap China made machine. Not because Fronius equipment is inferior, but because of amalgamation of all circumstances. Thanks for watching!
Sure, unfortunately i never had an opportunity to use any EWM equipment but i am aware of such brand. All in all changing brands will not change essence of the video .
@@BlacharzOstatniejSzansy It is a little different, the ability to repair your machine and ease of repair of the machine should be one of the biggest concerns rather than the brand name. The level of competition is so high that it is hard to make bad welding equipment if an established manufacturer is competing in the open market. There is no such thing as a welding machine that will not break, so it is crucial to be able to repair it without any hassle when it happens. So have happened that this Chinese machine is the easiest for me to repair. It is also the most effective in comparison to other brands as far as features versus price. It also has the best warranty deal out of any brand that is on the market. It performs as good as really expensive brands like Fronius when i use it. This machine requires better understanding and experience from the operator to set it up right where Fronius has electronics that will compensate for low experience from the operator.
