      Oh, he is sincere in all his videos. He won't plug any product he doesn't stand behind. I've heard him, on the phone with manufacturers, telling them he wouldn't endorse their product because he didn't believe in it.
      I'm just saying, he's legitimately thrilled about the Fronius.

    As far as a multi process machine goes, I want one! I am sold on the aluminum feature. I like the fact you don't have to switch out to a push pull or spool gun. I currently have two Miller Multi-matic machines and as far as putting all eggs in one basket, its the only way ill do it. My little Miller suitcase 200 has paid my mortgage and has saved my ass time and time again.

    I think I'm convinced! I'm just a home DIYer, but like a UA-camr says, " Buy Once and Cry Once" so I'll spend the 2500 bucks and cover all the bases and skip all the other sketchy machines out there, the wire reel setup is awesome, the 15' hoses, just the overall machine itself and everything about it. I may never have to buy another machine.
    I was noticing behind you, lol, you've got a nice little collection of other machines behind you... One breaks, move to the next one... Lmao

    Excellent Review buddy, I have had my 2200 for about 3 months now and as you say it is a brilliant machine. The waterproofing of this machine along with its ability to run off of a long extension cord make it a damn good machine when your working up inside a revolving screening drum out in the elements. Its not the cheapest machine out there but its certainly one of the best. With regards to the basic stick welding function......... I went out and bought the fronius transpocket 180 with pulse function, that also has tig function and will also run from a massive extension lead. People will moan about Fronius not being cheap, at the end of the day you get what you pay for and if you want quality, reliability and a name you can trust......... Fronius is the one

    • @TheFabricatorSeries

      @@TheFabricatorSeries Sincere thanks for the professional opinion. But how would the TS2200 compare with the Everlast multi-process machines with HF TIG in addition to all that is offered here on MIG? I'd love a video about that and I bet many others would too.

      Does the stick function at least have arc force and adjustable start? and if not, why not when its supposed to be a multi-process, sounds like they want us to purchase a transpocket (now Ignis model).
      Won't this also work from a massive extension? think that is just due to power factor correction which I guess this also has?

    I’m sold on this machine. I’ve been looking for a multi process for a while and just stumbled across this. the price is great for what you’re getting. Heavy duty hardware, multiple settings such as spray transfer for mig, and mig aluminum from a 15’ whip! Only thing that sucks is it’s not ac. I’m ready to do a couple more jobs so I can afford this gem.

    • @esotericgrave3129
      @esotericgrave3129 4 роки тому +1

      This comment is rather old... so you prob already have an answer.
      But the TransSteel2200 is more of a portable welding tool for low duty cycle work. Its perfect for those remote onsite repairs and everything youd ever need for a hobbyist welder.
      But for production work, high duty cycle work, or anything super heavy. I wouldn't suggest going with the transsteel. Its max rated output is 220amps on CV with a 60%duty cycle. when running 1" stuff you probably would need a little more than that...
      Instead id go with the TPSi series. Which can range from 270amps to 600amps with water cooling options etc...

    Im looking to upgrade my mig machine and Im trying to compare the HTP pro pulse 220 MTS to other high end machines and get something that is super versatile with synergic capabilities. What's your opinion between these two machines? Would this one be better or more versatile and why? Witch one would you rather buy? I think the user interface might be nicer on the HTP and tig functions might be more complete but im buying a machine mostly for mig because I already own a nice HTP invertig 221 so im not super concerned about tig functionality unless either of these machines has some kind of awesome feature that the invertig 221 doesn't. Are there any other machines that I should consider that aren't made in china such as everlast?

    Looks like a very capable unit. It does have a couple of points I'm not crazy about, most importantly and not limited to just this brand but all brands of "All In One" machines have one major draw back! If the machine dies, you lose all ability to work!
    Having 3 separate machine allows you to have a backup if your first choice for the job fails you in some way.
    "Don't put all your eggs in one basket!" Comes to mind immediatley!! Personally, I'd rather have 3 separate machines. Even 2 if I can't afford all 3 at once. Great features though. Hope they put all of that in each single process machine!

      @@BravoActual4756 Not yet, still in the box, I had to travel for a while. All i did so far is gather info about the machine and what it can and cannot do. I am even contemplating exchanging it with the Transsteel 2700 for more power when I get back, not sure though.
      The machine is very well built and has very nice reviews, so if you are looking at one for around the 200 amp range and don't mind the lack of 6010 functionality, I would say it's a fantastic machine from what I have gathered so far.
      Not to confuse you, but if you are in the market for such machine, I would also take a serious look at the HTP Pro Pulse 220. (rebranded Stel, made in Italy, and Stel is a top manufacturer in Europe and make machines for a lot of big names in the industry). Anyways, the machine does pulse welding, holds bigger wire spools (bigger spools are cheaper and easier to find) and seem to have more voltage range which is useful if you are doing other processes like Spray Transfer or Dual Shield (maybe these futures aren't very helpful for someone in their hobby shop?) On the other hand, The Fronius is more rugged/build tough, has power correction factor that allows the usage of very long extension cords, has slightly better duty cycle and slightly more amps (20 more). Again, maybe not so important for a hobbyist.

      @@engjds it can't. The maximum voltage for MMA is 27.2 volts. That wouldn't run 6010. It wouldn't run 6011 either. 6010 needs at least 30 volts while welding (not OCV)

    Fronius 2200 compared HTP Pro Pulse 200?

    • @TheFabricatorSeries
      @TheFabricatorSeries  5 років тому

      I have no hands on experience with the Pro Pulse 200

    • @zod-engineering-welding
      @zod-engineering-welding 5 років тому +2

      The HTP inverter MIGs like the Pro Pulse 200/220 MTS can hold 12" spools of wire, this Fronius model only 8" spools. They are both obviously synergic, but the HTP ProPulse MIGs have pulse-aluminum and double-pulse. Seems the Fronius 2200 has similar sets of parameters available to set, but no pulse nor double-pulse like the HTP ProPulse units. Fronius lists 3 separate liners for steel (030,035/040,045) and three MORE for the same size wires in aluminum, so gotta be careful on that because you might potentially need 6 liners to be swapping, lol. On the Pro Pulse 200/220, you only need one liner for steel 030/035/045, but there is a whole 'nother gun for aluminum welding since it has it's own dedicated graphite liner. It is also shorter at only 8ft but that it because of the pulse and double-pulse capabilities --- the gun needs to be shorter to accommodate that kind of pulse operation. One US vendor website, they list 5 gas nozzles for $140 !!! I guarantee you that the ProPulse nozzles are nowhere near that expensive! A 5-pack of diffusers will run you $63 ! Yikes! Way more cost for replacement parts than the ProPulse units. If you want another MIG gun so you can have one for steel and another for aluminum, for the Fronius that will set you back a cool $500! for a single gun! Ouch! A replacement HTP gun is like only $150! HTP sells durable CuCrZr (copper-chrome-zirconium) extra life tips that really stand up to spray and pulse-spray transfer, so tip life is extended compared to regular copper tips. Oh and with the Pro Pulse 220 MTS units, you can order add-on's like: Remote slider control, spool gun, and even an air cooled push-pull gun for serious aluminum fabrication. The remote control works with all three methods: regular MIG gun (whether it's aluminum or steel), and with the spool-gun AND with the push-pull gun to synergically control the welding output! That right there is the ultimate in welding control. If you want pulse and push-pull with Fronius, you're looking at $11,000 at minimum. If you want their low-spatter-control or their modified pulse arc feature with aluminum, you're looking at nearly $15,000 ! The HTP Pro Pulse 300 would run circles around it for less than half the cost, for steel, aluminum, silicon bronze, stainless steel, gas less flux core, dual shield flux core. A much better value IMO.
