As I said before you really should give Modern Sonic Games a try like Sonic Unleashed (HD version not Wii Version), Sonic Colors (Wii and Ultimate PS4), Sonic Generations (HD Version), Sonic Adventure Series, Sonic Heroes, Shadow the Hedgehog (GCN), Sonic 06, Sonic Forces (PS4), Sonic 4 Series (HD versions not Wii) Sonic Lost World (Wii U), Sonic and the Secret Rings, Sonic and the Black Knight and SEGA Superstar Tennis. You just have to learn how the controls and gameplay works.

How is the difficulty of this game?
You can choose between three difficulty opitions
easy
mid
hard
then you can choose between to gameplay styles
fast paced
and action styled
then you have full control over how sonics physics
you can change the starting speed
accelration
turning speed
top speed
intial boost speed
boost turning speed
steering sinsivity
camera speed
camera angle
and then how far the camera is
after all of that
you can make sonic faster and increase sonics max rings compacity (the default is 400) by returning kocos to elder koco
elder koco is a large round koco
and you can make sonic stronger by collecting seeds of power and defense
(seeds of power are red heart shaped seeds)
(seeds of defense are blue big seeds)
and then go to hermit koco
hermit koco is a large tall koco
to extract the power of the seeds and make sonic stronger
cyberspace is really great (imo)
but sonic controls like sh*t there
(if you dont want spoilers dont read the rest of the comment)
the first island is quite easy and small and can be finished in about an hour if you know what you are doing
the second island is somewhat easy and somewhat hard and can be finished in about 1-3 hours
the third island is the worst island bieng all the platforming challenges 2d and having the worst cyperspace levels and bieng the hardest biggest but has the best guardian fights and the sickest titan fight but you have to do annoying long 2d platforming challenges to complete this island ramping it up to 2-5 hours ....... yeah
the fourth island is quite empty but quite epic as you have to climp and shutdown 6 extremly tall towers while sonic is dying
taking abnout 40 minutes
the fifth and the final island is where sonics friends save sonic from dieng and the only island that feels like an minigame
it takes about 1-2 hours to complete
the titans are the best part abt this game they are sick as hell
the first one bieng great
the second one bieng outstanding
the third one bieng amazing
and the last one bieng alright (its just a worse version of the first one but still sick)
and the final boss in easy and mid mode you just get a qte
and if you played on hard mode you get the lamesrt sonic final boss but you gert one of the besr song at the credits (one way dream by natewantstobattle)
the whjole soundtrack is a treat to the ears
