It’s really cool that they added this but I kinda wish they also added a dedicated boss selector so that you can just fight the titans whenever you want (maybe as a bonus after completing battle rush on all islands?), that or maybe make it so that if you revisit the boss entrances on the islands after completing the game you would be allowed to fight them again.

@@sonicovertime Just like in Hollow Knight in Gods home were there’s a boss selector, and they could put difficult bosses like Giganto 2.0, Wyvern 2.0, Knight 2.0, Supreme 2.0 and 2.0 guardians and putting a new secret final boss called The end Soul OS (In Spanish would be The end exe) like Kirby games
Only way to replay all the bosses save them before you enter them in a different save file and one you'll just have to use autosave for one of them
So after you finish each boss exit the game and go back in or else your save file will mess up and you won't be able to replay the auto saved one

Silver can fly and so can Infinite and while Infinite can glow Red Silver can glow blue

I been looking forward to boss Rush! It's a fun place to actually use max stats for something. Might do a level 1 run later as well. (Sidenote - the save file is set to Hard Mode)

That truly is Way Past Cool to see a Battle Rush. Especially the fact that you can battle the Titans once again!
Honestly, having a boss select after beating battle rush would be amazing imo
We dreamed of being able to refight the bosses of Sonic Frontiers. Now it is possible.
Id probably say the best part about this update is Boss Rush it's extremely tight on timing if you're only at level 1 stats great experience honestly

Finally beat the boss rush! There was no way I would have beaten all of them in 22 minutes.
These finish times are godlike, especially for chaos island
This update is fire tbh soundtrack amazing,takeing a picture in mid game amazing and the boss amazing
Honestly loved battle rush. Would of liked if on All Islands it gave you The End right after Supreme since on Ouranos it just ends on Supreme i know not many people like The End as a boss still would of been nice.
I didn't even know The End was a character until a while after I beat it 💀

Hey there overtime! Everyone is playing the new Sonic Frontiers Update! It's pretty cool!
Do you know what really upset me while playing this? After I did the boss rush on each island I unlocked the final boss rush feature were you fight every single boss in the game and when I was just about to defeat Supreme I ran out of rings, the game crashed, and I lost ALL OF MY PROGRESS!😨😩😫😭😡😤
I'm pretty upset that the update basically broke every single mod I have installed (some of which won't be updated anytime soon 😢) But playing battle Rush was an absolute treat (Even though the all-island battle rush was pretty difficult). I'm honestly really happy added these challenges and i can't wait to see what comes next
That is indeed a bummer. 😢 The update itself was really great, alot better than I was expecting for update 1.

@@no.402 Yeah as of now most mods work while some are being updated to match the new update. Trackers mod got fixed and so did hedgehog may cry so I'm happy

Combat is fine and everything, but I love that banjo & kazooie on speed thing that this game's open world/open zone has. I would like another island as dlc.

It’s interesting that you don’t even get to fight “the end” in this boss rush, even as a secret boss. I wonder if this would be added as a boss here at some point.
Is there a way to actually make the boss battle go faster against The End?
I don’t think so. You just kinda have to whittle down it’s health. You also can’t speed up the fixed monologue sections towards the end, and have to survive it.
You know, even though The End isn’t in Boss Rush, you can fight it all you want by just loading up a completed save file. All you have to do is fight Supreme and then The End is there.

Anyways i like the addition, but it just doesnt feel the same fighting titans anymore cuz you need to speed through it
So the only way to refight the other titans is with a perfect rank. I should’ve known such an opportunity would have a catch. Well, at least I can always fight Giganto whenever I want with my completed save, and use the other two saves for Wyvern and Knight.
Hope in the next update, we can choose which boss we want to fight or a mode where we can have Titians only.

rings have no purpose on expert difficulty except power boost. They should have nerfed the parry and op skills like sonic boom and cross slash. But I do like the challenge, I'll admit it.

anything OHKOs Sonic (even Super Sonic!) , that's why I said rings are almost useless on extreme difficulty.

Also, I'm pretty sure they made cyberspace levels harder. Achieving S rank is so hard now. I would like the change, but I think they exaggerated with the time requirements. The game is almost forcing you to execute homing dashes to get S ranks and that's bad. I mean, I think you can get S ranks without abusing the homing dash, but it's way, way harder.
To unlock extreme do you have to S rank them all including enemie times or just the entire island
I think just the entire island, because I see some screenshots in Twitter.
I hope we get a reset option kn the next update so u can downgrade sonic back to 0

Is the pc version of the update not fully out? I got jukebox and photo mode but no challenge modes. I already beat the story too.
Weird speedrun hacks for Tower (Kronos) and Red Pillar (Ouranos)
if for some reason you get knocked off the platform, there are springs that will take you straight to
THE TOWERS HEAD!!!
with this in mind, can jump down to the lower platform then the springs will take you straight to Tower's weak point.
for Red Pillar, at least you can take off a large chunk of its HP in the first few seconds of the fight.

Well you need an overall S rank. I got S rank on everything tho so can't exactly confirm. But with the reward being extreme difficulty i can see why you would need all S ranks
I don't think so. I saw someone being able to proceed to other islands boss rush even though they didn't get S rank

So how do you change how much time you have to complete the challenges? Because I have insanely strict time limits compared to you.
I have no idea, because I just selected a save file that had Hard mode selected on it. Even paused the game to see it was still on hard during boss rush. No idea how there'd be stricter times.

How do you avoid getting kicked off Asura each time?
You will always get kicked off Asura no matter what, but you can boost in the air to land or climb back on it's head.

How exactly do you unlock all islands for this mode? I only have Kronos.
Complete Kronos, then Aries, then Chaos. After that you should be able to unlock the "all islands" boss rush

I'm just now starting to get all S ranks on Cyberspace and Battle Rush, before I do it can anyone tell me specifically what Extreme Mode is?
I know that you unlock it by getting S ranks on all the Battle Rushes, but is it a NG+?
Do Titans actually hurt you, make you lose 10 Rings tops like Solaris and Perfect Dark Gaia?
Note: It's a shame that I have to go through waves of enemies instead of being able to select the Titan Boss without the waves. Better than nothing I guess, maybe someone can mod Battle Rush so you have the option to jump right into each round.

How are you getting it to run at 60fps I am on the PS5 and the new update makes the frames sometimes dip to from 60 to 30
This is on PC. I had massive lag the first time I played boss rush. After I replayed it, the lag went away. Not sure if it had to cache something or what was going on there. Maybe that will work on ps5 as well.

You need to get all s ranks on Kronos to unlock the other island
@@harrylaw-williams5118 Actually, you only need an A rank on the Titan’s fight in order to unlock the next island’s Battle Rush. It doesn’t exactly matter what you get otherwise (though it is a lot harder to get even an A rank if you’re whiffing the rest of the fights).

What Happens If You Try Battle Rush On Extreme Mode?
Idk if it's possible but if it is, then extreme rules would be applied, Lv1 Sonic, extreme mode enemies, and one hit deaths for sonic.

What happened to the Extreme Difficulty mode? Some journalist sites mentioned that for this DLC but it's not in the Steam patch notes
You need to clear boss rush mode first, I actually get the unlock message at the very end of the video.
You get it for S Ranking All The Battle Rush stages. In Extreme, you can't upgrade Sonic's stats, and you die in one hit. Even Super Sonic will die in one hit.

for some reason when i reached Giganto the frame rate suddenly dropped…
This happened to me 3 times when trying to climb Giganto, made me miss S rank by 25 seconds 🤦🏾♂️
I had the same thing occur on every titan. If you beat it then reboot the game, it apparently fixes it permanently. Got no idea why...
I think it's possible to prevent this if you skip the previous guardian's defeat cutscene. If that doesn't work, change the framerate to 30, then to 60 again in the settings.

This is hard mode, I triple checked as max stats made it seem super easy. XD.
If you meant extreme mode, I beat Kronos and Ares so far. It seems like it's hard mode but you can't get hit. And some of the cyberspace level times change. (Apparently you can't upgrade stats but it's weird since you can still level up at the elder koco.)

@@traktor420 Perhaps that's the case, I'd have to test it abit more. They should have just disabled Elder Koco in that case and leave Hermit Koco as he normally is.

You can level stats up, but it just doesn't do anything, in Extreme mode, lvl 1 Attack is the same as lvl 99 Attack, so far I know for certain about Attack and Ring cap, but haven't tested Speed, Defence wouldn't do anything anyway since you get one-shot by everything.
