I still don't get why most VW here in US don't get DSGs. It's part of the icon of VW. Recently I got a chance to drive the MK7 Golf, it's all very nice with 1.8TSI and 180PS to play with and everything, but with a slowtronic 6 speed.
+Bright Ivan (Winkiedilwy) I've done a bit of reading and it could be due to your countries car laws/limitations/restrictions. What needs to be done is change your laws/restrictions so that overseas car companies can bring in cars that come with all the features because I watch VW reviews and they're mainly from the US but have limited features which is a shame!! I've got a golf R and The only thing we are missing in Australia are the electric folding mirrors which are present in the Europe market but not the Australian market. It upsets me.
Matthew Santa it upsets me even more as back home in Malaysia, all cars come standard with power-folding mirrors, backup sensors and dual zone A/C (except for some lower spec cars) and I'm surprised in U.S. and other countries, they're either optional or not even offered at all.
Glad to see that the rear seats do fold properly and aren't just left dangling. Literally no other review/tour has said or demonstrated this feature.
