I was listening online to a Dallas morning radio show and felt that they were wrong for criticizing the Parsons pick so I texted the station and told them they were wrong because I've seen Micah play since high school and told them that we just drafted a combination of Lawrence Taylor and Jim Brown. I also believe that if Micah was allowed to play running back everyone would quickly see that he's easily the best running back in the league. Micah would run over, through, around, and by defenders even better than Derrick Henry does. Jim Brown was a monster with speed but he didn't play against the talent in the league today. Micah would destroy the league right now as a tailback.
The way he attacked some of the tackles with his feet movement instead of using his hands had the tackles looking stupid! Once he uses those hands plus that WR type speed release it’s gonna get scary!
Bit of a noob question: When I see these clips, the OT's almost always have their arms pretty low and they go for the middle of the DE'S torso. Couldn't they really mess with an edge rusher's balance if they attacked one of their shoulders? Take the frame at 10:01 here: Parsons has his full weight on his left foot and his arms are pretty low, lower than the hands of the left tackle. What if the tackle shoved Parson's left shoulder in this moment? And I mean the front of the shoulder, not the back, like he did in-game.
You see stuff how I see it. Like I used to play DT and FB and I never understand how you can be pass rushing and get completely stonewalled…like no progress forward bro go around him
That's a great question! Generally speaking the OL and DL basically play chicken with who can shoot their hands first. Whoever goes first is more likely to get countered

Bosa has 2 more sacks and a whopping 7 more qb hits than Parsons (over 4 games). If you watch Bosa, he's impacting the game on practically every play either by pressuring QBs into other DL or forcing incompletions. Parsons is a scary DE, just certainly not a runaway DPOY in a league where Bosa plays.
Y’all realize micah doesn’t rush the passer every snap right? The cowboys literally put him at cornerback sometimes. You can’t just look at sacks and pressures and hits you have to look at everything with him. Covering terry mclaurin 1 on 1 successfully, blowing up running plays as a MLB. He might not be the best pass rusher in the league- but he is the best defensive player in the league.
@@spacecowboy3172 okay, are you saying he's as impactful in coverage as a rusher or that the Cowboys are misusing him? The numbers and eye test say he's arguably not even a top 5 coverage lb (much less coverage db) while he's easily a top 5 DE. In case you were wondering: Warner, Wagner, D. Davis, L. David, Kendricks, and Leonard. I guess that we'll have to disagree that doing a bunch of things well is better than being the most disruptive player in the game. Heck, Parsons may be DPOY, but, again, he's certainly not the runaway DPOY when Bosa plays in this league.
On the Bengals clip at 8:30. That's just piss poor coaching. Mixon should know to chip there. As far as the guard goes, he has to be closer to help on any inside moves so the tackle can focus purely on outside moves. They left him on an island, and tbh he did a damn good job. Burrow was more responsible for that sack than the tackle. He could have stepped under his tackle to buy more time. Instead he tried to run away. He still had about 2 5-3 seconds to throw too. Edit: What I am getting at is the Bengals coaching staff sucks. You have a premiere rusher in Parsons but you choose to leave your tackle on an island? Like it blows me away how some of these teams just absolutely refuse to help their offensive line. To the casual fan, it is the o-line's fault, but people who know a little more about football can tell you that's not on the o-line. Like the Giants. Do people really think Thomas magically improved that much at tackle? Hell no. The Giants started helping him. They started chipping and what not. Good coaching can makeup for mediocre o-line players
Bosa might be better on the line currently, but Parsons the only dude who can guard Terry Mclaurin in man coverage as well as compete with Bosa at hitting the QB.

Collins is a former Cowboy and Micah said he really helped him in his rookie year learning how to rush so it’s funny that he spent 4 quarters shredding Collins in that game.
I love Parsons. He's the best player in the league imo. I loved him coming out. Reason I bring this up is have you ever looked at his testing numbers? They are ridiculous. You know who is even bigger, and tests better in every category except 40 time (Player in question still runs in the 4.3s) ? His College teammate, Odafe Oweh. I'm a Ravens fan. We knew when drafted Oweh was raw and would need time. But just talking about athleticism here, Parsons plays like a freak athlete. Oweh looks stiff and slow and dare I say weak and timid. It's crazy how athletic testing and football athleticism aren't necessarily the same thing
Parsons is collins daddy!!! Paesons will have a unreal years this upcomimg season! He is deff putting in the work, his technical skills will show Improvement!!
Parsons is getting double and triple teamed and still finding a way to break through. He is definitely pulling enough of the line for other to get to the QB. There are 3 numbers you don't want to see as an opposing team...11, 7, and 20(obviously offense.)
I’m so conflicted. As a Chargers Eagles fan I hate seeing it. As a Penn State SDSU fan I love seeing it. As soon as he started lining up against OTs and winning. That’s LT levels of special. Absolutely has helped the Cowboys be a top Defense
I mean everything you said is true. If this how good he as as still a raw 2nd year player imagine how good he’ll be in year 4-5 after he refines those techniques and schemes😂
You gotta understand tho at the same time bro has been an inside lb for like three years following this year so he hasn't been training for d end or what ever he plays till this last off season
Bosa is more impactful as a DE than Parsons as a LB or DB. Every play Parsons plays when he's not rushing the passer is a waste. He's an elite DE. He's decent but not nearly the playmaker in coverage that he is at DE.
@@PC487 This is just laughably incorrect. Parsons actually improves the run defense 1.5 yds a carry when he is playing Mike vs DE. He is also incredibly efficient at shut down short to mid routes when he drops into coverage, but has a tendency to get beat on slants and crossing routes.
So stoked to have this “LION” on the cowboys. Huge part to that defense and it’s only 1 guy then u add in the other 10 studs = Doomsday Defense let’s go Cowboys 🤙🏽🔥

Everybody questioned the commitment of sewell and parsons before the draft due to opting out. Now they are among the best at their respective positions
please do a video on the Seahawks defense, their offense is killing it, but their defense is struggling horribly. your videos include end zone angles that the average fan like me doesn't get to see during the broadcast so its tough to see what the defense is actually doing.
GIANTS fan here... only thing between us/G-MEN and Playoffs/Super Bowl is the gat damn Cowboys... whom we can't seem to beat. We could switch QB's and still lose.
Can laugh me out of the room if you want, but if he keeps this up, there may be a legitimate conversation to be had about MVP, Allen seems to be a clear front runner but in terms of a players effect on their whole team, Micah is right there. Scary.
Micah is legitimately the only defensive player I can think of who can actually make a play for MVP. If the Cowboys win the division, and Parsons is playing at this rate, I genuinely think he'll have earned it.
Yeah it got your QB sacked 4 times . Triple teaming him is begging your QB to get knocked out of the game. The same plan was used on Charles Haley during the dynasty years until they realized the QB was getting killed by Lett , Tolbert and company
Also fair to point out that if they called holding correctly he would get 5 calls per game. Somehow refs just look past the holding on Parsons on a different level.
Imagine being a Giants fans knowing u passed up Micah Parson and Rashawn Slater n possibly Justin Fields {if he figures it out} for Kadarius Toney who is current completely out of the rotation right now ‼️Damn Dave Gentleman really fucked this entire roster in every way besides selecting Andrew Thomas I feel bad for giants fans 💯
" A lot " is a stretch. Parsons single handledly and routinely wrecks game plans. Parsons rookie season blows Bosa's rookie season out the waters. Bosa is overrated and is injury prone lmao
But can Bosa lineup at all front 7 positions? Bosa is a top notch 3-4 DE, but he is not at Parsons' level. Parsons is on a level with the all-time greats.

Michael Parsons needs everyone on the Defensive to play like him and dont just depend on him to do everything don't give me wrong he is Superman he is so fast and he is a beast and he is a Cowboy fan he is the badass player from the team if anyone else want too be like him they need too play like him hard and fast believe me know one will be able to be like us they will be unstoppable play like Michael Parsons please and for sure we will go to the super bowl for sure I'm a diehard Dallas cowboy let's go my Cowboys #1❤❤❤💪💪💪💪💪
Bosa is leading in most major stats of a dline
He pass rush way more than Micah too
@@sneed_99 not even close
@@joeynickles7962 You're right, Parsons is so much better it's not close. Barring injury, Parsons will be the unanimous DPOY and will get MVP votes.
@@Mekhami oh you still big mad ‘bout Deebo running through y’all’s bussies
Where was Parsons in the Wild Card game last year, bruh? He on that disappearing act when it matters most
@@joeynickles7962 Deebo had 70 yards in that playoff game lmao. Silly hater gonna be a silly hater. I guess you're a 49ers fan, which explains why you'd be so jealous of the Cowboys.
Absolutely great breakdown. I can't wait to see this Man grow. So excited to watch him terrorize the league. We all thought Kearse was a freak but this Manster is something Different. The speed and power for a guy his size is just ridiculous. 4.39 speed is insane. Well done sir. Thank you.
Thanks brother!
hard to believe he is that fast.
It’s actually 4.36
LETS GOOO MICAH PARSONS
Nick bosa leading the defensive player of the year race in my opinion
@@sneed_99 I’m not even a niners fan and I still think bosa is better 6 sacks to 4 sacks umm I’ll wait. Parson starts to get chip blocked and cries. Bosa gets held on so many plays and and finds himself getting a sack. He’s so underrated just cause he got hurt one year.
@@AlbertoRodriguez-gc3nq I would love to watch bosa cover an outside WR
@@AlbertoRodriguez-gc3nq you obviously haven't watched Parsons play lolol
@@AlbertoRodriguez-gc3nq They both have 6 sacks, Micha has more TFLs, and is 7 pressures behind Bosa. All while not exclusively rushing the passer. Parsons is also getting held every play go watch the Rams-Cowboys game.
Nick Bosa DPOY
not even close dude. Parsons will get MVP votes at the end of the year. It's not even a race at this point. Barring an injury to Parsons, he's got it locked up.
GREAT VIDEO MAN!!!

can we all talk about how knowledgeable Alex is on the DL? that and his voice is just something super enjoyable to hear at the same time. this is the first video i've seen on his channel and it sure as hell won't be my last.
Thanks Milan! Wow man, appreciate that
@@AlexRollinsNFL of course Alex! Keep up the great content, your knowledge and voice are poetry.

you should do a video on Geno Smith and the seahawks offense being better than expectations
It’s good that Micah is driven to be the best, ever. Because he WILL improve his technique and learn even MORE moves, to help him destroy OL.
Thanks for this video. Outstanding work and I LOVE the narration!
#DC4L
The fact of the matter is that Nick Bosa is having a better season than Micah Parsons and every other edge rusher this season.
I was thinking the same thing. He’s a very good defensive player but I don’t think he would be a unanimous DPOY.
I made this video a few weeks ago tbh, but now Bosa is looking sketch with his groin. If he keeps playing he could overtake Parsons
Your struggling to try to get people to dislike Parsons. Stop it
Only thing I would correct is that Micah said hes playing at about 253 this year. He added 10 lbs and is still blowing by everyone
Parsons and Bosa are the two horses on this race.
Bosa might be better on the line currently, but Parsons the only dude who can guard Terry Mclaurin in man coverage as well as compete with Bosa at hitting the QB.
@@calebstaab4116 this right here. Bosa is Trout, but Parsons is Ohtani. He lines up all over the damn field! He's played slot corner for crying out loud! He's even lined up at center for a couple snaps lol. Bosa is a great DE, but Parsons is an entire defense, and breaks records despite lining up all over the fields.
Great video dude. Can’t wait for the next one. How bout T. Diggs. DC4L⭐️

He is just as much and in my opinion MORE fun to watch as a Cowboys fan than Demarcus Ware was and I never thought anyone could carry our team the way he did. Boy was I wrong. For everybody saying Nick Bosa this video was made 2 weeks ago. All you see is Bucs Bengals and last year film…
Also Micah only Pass Rushes PART TIME. If he did it full time he would crush Bosa stats.

This kid is going full time DE this season and seems to have really ramped up his training in a big way. I think this may be a career year for him. Cant wait to see him play.
Well, I’ve been a cowboy fan since 1980 and I’ll tell you this much but see the lotta great cowboy linebackers in the end like Charles Haley Ed, too tall Jones, Tony Tolbert Demarcus ware just to name a few and do you know just in the first two seasons, I read somewhere he has more sacks and more tackles and more tackles for loss than anybody in NFL history through the first two seasons. This man has a chance to be one of the best cowboy defensive players ever also has a chance to be one of the best defensive NFL players of all time ever this man is just an absolute beast to try to block cause you know, win the quarterback, or whoever it is breaks the huddle they always want to know where number 11 is I’m so glad he’s on my team
Collins is a former Cowboy and Micah said he really helped him in his rookie year learning how to rush so it’s funny that he spent 4 quarters shredding Collins in that game.
Collins fucked around and found out.
I hear that Cincy weather is a *bitch*.
Nice video. I never had chance to watch this guy. 4.3 !? 😳
Thanks. I looked up his 40 time and it blew me away
He better win because it's the only way the Cowboys are gonna win anything in February.
Not hufanga or nick bosa?
Can they play slot corner, DE and MLB?😂
As a giants fan I'm completely jealous of cowboys fans for having this dude .
Hey Alex, do you have any of Andy Reids play books? Or guys off his immediate tree? I'd love that for PBOTM.
Got you brother!
Im an eagles fan and I love Micah Parsons......this guy is special man. I legit watch cowboys games because of him. The lions always hungry lol
The video I've been waiting for
Damn he lasted until the 12th pick in 2021 draft.
I still don't know why.. or how.. Dallas traded back to 10 to get him
I’m so conflicted.
Hope he stays with us a long time
Everyone saying bosa. Id like to see bosa play linebacker and corner like micah has
Bosa is more impactful as a DE than Parsons as a LB or DB. Every play Parsons plays when he's not rushing the passer is a waste. He's an elite DE. He's decent but not nearly the playmaker in coverage that he is at DE.
@@PC487 not a waste, being versatile keeps offenses guessing
@@PC487 This is just laughably incorrect. Parsons actually improves the run defense 1.5 yds a carry when he is playing Mike vs DE. He is also incredibly efficient at shut down short to mid routes when he drops into coverage, but has a tendency to get beat on slants and crossing routes.
He can cover man to man but still has room to grow in zone coverage. He only played 2 full seasons at LB in college & in H.S he was a d-lineman
You explain this so well and every move he did and why you sure you don't play football
the way alex had to repeat "4.36 SPEED" was genuinely hilarious
Dude I'm still trippen off it 😂
Holding! Everyone on the O-line facing Parsons.
The only reason I believe Micah dropped in the draft was because he opted out of the Covid season and it was just recency bias
So stoked to have this “LION” on the cowboys. Huge part to that defense and it’s only 1 guy then u add in the other 10 studs = Doomsday Defense let’s go Cowboys 🤙🏽🔥
I kind of have to disagree with you here Alex. Nick Bosa is dominating right now

Nick Bosa says hello.
micah gets held so much - and it rarely gets called. But, I think it is because hes so fast the refs dont see it
Love your videos Alex! I think you’re sleeping on maxx Crosby tho
Thanks George! Love Maxx, but man, Parsons is different
Parsons is insane but after tonight maxx is tied most sacks, leads the league in tfl, most tackles by pure edge rushers with 2 deflections and a ff!
If you watch college football, you can see many players mimicking him, and many quarterbacks running for their lives.
GIANTS fan here... only thing between us/G-MEN and Playoffs/Super Bowl is the gat damn Cowboys... whom we can't seem to beat. We could switch QB's and still lose.
Man I wish Sean Lee was just a little bit younger. That Duo idea gives me chills
Him, Jaylon, and Leighton were soo sick
@@AlexRollinsNFL I miss it lol
Can laugh me out of the room if you want, but if he keeps this up, there may be a legitimate conversation to be had about MVP, Allen seems to be a clear front runner but in terms of a players effect on their whole team, Micah is right there. Scary.
Micah is legitimately the only defensive player I can think of who can actually make a play for MVP. If the Cowboys win the division, and Parsons is playing at this rate, I genuinely think he'll have earned it.
you see these videos about what QB would you take to start a franchise. i am taking Parsons.
Ummm I think there’s someone name Nick Bosa
Jordan Mailata and Lane Johnson
Maybe... I'm still taking nick bosa
I will move him everywhere to rush if I was Dan Quinn.
How many damn viewers do you get from New Jersey to have a NJ specific ad???
I love that I haven’t heard one bad thing about him and NOONE was hyping him before the draft.
Any chance we can get a break down of how the Eagle's effectively handled the threat from Parsons
Eagles didn’t handle it so well he’s a Big Reason the Cowboys came back in the half If QB2 didn’t throw 2 more picks Dallas wins that game
Yeah it got your QB sacked 4 times . Triple teaming him is begging your QB to get knocked out of the game. The same plan was used on Charles Haley during the dynasty years until they realized the QB was getting killed by Lett , Tolbert and company
Gets held every single pass rush too
Also fair to point out that if they called holding correctly he would get 5 calls per game. Somehow refs just look past the holding on Parsons on a different level.
The line is probs my favorite part about football
Imagine being a Giants fans knowing u passed up Micah Parson and Rashawn Slater n possibly Justin Fields {if he figures it out} for Kadarius Toney who is current completely out of the rotation right now ‼️Damn Dave Gentleman really fucked this entire roster in every way besides selecting Andrew Thomas I feel bad for giants fans 💯

Bosa is a lot better. He has a higher pass rush win rate, total sacks, better PFF grade against the run, and more QB hits than Micah.
" A lot " is a stretch. Parsons single handledly and routinely wrecks game plans. Parsons rookie season blows Bosa's rookie season out the waters. Bosa is overrated and is injury prone lmao
