I usually like Dame Edna but he needs to get off the stage when Anjelica's doing an interview. Anjelica is always interesting too watch in interviews and we see far too little of her on talk shows
I thought it was funny to see her as a witch who hates kids, then to watch the second Addams Family and see her give birth. Actors and actresses can literally do anything and that is my example

Angelica Huston has the talent for being the Grand High Witch, but the problem for her being the Grand High Witch was her height. Angelica is tall and the Grand High Witch is no more than 4 1/2 feet.
They left a lot out of the movie. Most notably when grandma is telling Luke about witches. Like she doesn't mention that all witches spit blue ink and wear gloves because they have claws like cats. But it is seen in the movie that all the witches are wearing gloves, but if one hasn't read the book they will likely not notice it. Also it's not mentioned in the movie that grandma was a witch hunter in her younger days which is why she knows so much about witches.
Eartha Kitt was on the wish list for the grand high witch (along with Fiona Fullerton, Geneviève Bujold, Starr Andreeff, Olivia Hussey, Sigourney Weaver, Frances Conroy, and Liza Minnelli). Kitt was very short so that would've worked out. But for film purposes it made more sense to have an actress who was tall to symbolize the characters status as the "Grand High" witch and make her more frightening and intimidating.
@jtepsa BECAUSE SHE'S THE SCARIEST WITCH EVER!!! I like to hear her talk about it because I find it intriging that in real life she is completely the opposite of the grand high witch. She's really, really nice and she loves kids. That facinates me. Other people might have different reasons but that's my reason. And I think we also get curious about all the makeup when she takes her mask off. I'm very eager to hear her talk about Agnes Browne and other movies too.

I actually downloaded this movie a while ago. 2.I know she was nominated a lot and got awards.I am a fan. 3.Again, I do not get it.The Witches is...idk...like a kids movie or something.I don't know how to describe it. I didn't like it at all.She did look good in it though,while not wearing a costume of course. :)
