An interesting detail is that they have decided that ''Paymasters'' are lords which is interesting because this position is also present in ''Dogs of War'' and there were always doubts about whether they would be classified as lords or heroes and this is especially relevant in Dogs of War because that faction is the only one that has a named ''Paymaster (Mydas the mean)'' which many of us assumed was going to be a hero and now it is possible that he will end up being a lord.

I think the chaos Spawn mechanic Will be partially apply, if arbaal routed in battle, he Will turn into a Spawn and Enter rage. Then after the battle arbaal Will be take as wounded for several several turns.

Theres no point in middle and thats the problem. I know lore wants it, but sometimes lore is problematic in a stand out point of view of gaming experience. He needs to be literally op or at least needs a really good advantage for that problem, that Will bring the thing, or he Will completly broken style of changeling or he Will be completly garbage, one mistake in a battle, goodbye campaing, oh we have precedents like this, ironcly comming from khorne or at least characters that appear to br khorne. First taurox, with his probability of instantly die and valkia that if an unit is routed, valkia Will inmidiatly kill then.

That big Khorne beasty looks like it used a lot of the model from that Tzeentch Vortex monster from the DLC. Are they canonically different flavors of the same kind of demon, or was CA just being thrifty with their modeling?
its exactly how it was on tabletop. Slaughterbrute and Mutalith vortex beast both used the same body "rigging" on tabletop, just different bits and bobs on top of it to make one more Khornate and the other more Tzeentchy

I will forever be disappointed that we didn’t get the Arbaal design made by David Sondered. It gives him a lot more personality than the one we ended up with, the visible face and more unique looking helmet and armor. The Arbaal we got, while accurate to the mini just looks like a particularly flamboyant chaos lord.
Did they specifically say "great ogre-haul"? Because that's the name of an overhaul mod for ogres and it makes camps much less painful to deal with and a whole pile of other things. Hopefully that means some of that is being brought into the game.
I look forward to the Ogre Kingdoms rework, i hope it's really good... they are one of my favourite factions, yet it is difficult to play them at times.
I mean, Andy Hall saying a couple of times that there are no plans for other new races such as Khuresh or Nippon while also saying Cathay was a "lightning in a bottle" type of thing made it already obvious we wouldn't get Nippon.
@@andarara-c1p ind and Kuresh are on the map and those empty spaces need to be filled just for the sake of gameplay alone. Nippon unfortunately I can see it get ignored. But the reveal of Ind and Kuresh as one DLC or multiple DLC is going to be a big event for CA to bring the game back into the spotlight and try to spike sales. So likely once the DLC string "low times" is done they'll make a huge hubub about those to help drive up sales of any of the less than stellar DLC before by hyping up the game.
@@andarara-c1p yeah but just opening up those map areas, the impact there alone on gameplay would be huge, because as it is. Cathay is sort of bland because really there's not much there and it's all focused in two directions, where Elspeth gave Franz the ability to focus in more directions. Opening Ind (not even actually adding the faction) changes Helmand Ghort's gameplay, changes Gelt's gameplay, and gives future Cathay DLC room to work. And Kuresh changes Nikkari and also let them shift his location so he's not as forced to fight Cathay exclusively but allows him to actually wander since he would be in less of a corner. Adding the factions later on in the game's lifecycle with proper marketing is just a decent idea for getting a spike in sales
I like the fact that every chaos faction is getting beastmen warriors on to their tech tree of units. I can't wait for the new units of the ogres, khrone, and more of what this dlc has to offer.
Black orcs just need a button to select their loadout in the field, and call it a day. Maybe give it a cooldown or something, but let them switch weapons.

Considering that model was always said as being a Maneater whom gained his style/skills from being in Nippon. Does this mean CA got the NO from GW on mentioning Nippon and/or using Nippon in any way? Does this mean we are for sure now never getting Nippon in game and/or the Old World? Would love to hear your thoughts on this Indipride.
Really don't think Black Orcs with shields should've been a DLC unit. Should've instead put a weapon switch thing on existing Black Orcs with matching animations to either grab a shield and a hand weapon or dual weapons. Alternatively, give us the dual weapons version as well.

'Cause that was what Black Orcs did on tabletop. "Armed To Da Teef". You could repurpose toggle abilities like those of Festus or Wood Elf Wardancers if you don't want to add animations for it.
They might still do it. I’ve been hoping there will be two variants: Black orc with Great Weapon/Dual Weapon and Black orc with Axe & Shield/Halberd. So basically giving the original black orc the ability to switch to dual wielding, and giving this new one the ability to switch between shield or halberd. That way the two units have more distinct roles: aggressive or defensive.
