The views are amazing on the GoPro, although the have been consistently the same, no ground breaking things in updates as well, just some resolution and frame rate.. I'm not an expert nor a HQ film maker but a whole bunch of people are actually switching from GoPro to DJi for (moto) vlogging. So I don't know if I would get a GoPro when I get a camera for helmet-cam-vlogging.. I might go with a DJi because they don't seem to have the issue with the freezing and stuff you see everywhere and which GoPro cannot get rid of even though they bring out a new model every (other) year.
Hey thanks for watching and commenting! 💪 You are right. There isn’t a lot that is big with the changes other than additional frame rates and integration of the mounting point. I think what’s different is the front facing screen for those that vlog with their GoPro. Not a huge deal for motovloggers but it’s there. As far as the DJI Osmo action camera, both cameras have some strengths and weaknesses. The GoPro does tend to produce a cleaner image with slightly better dynamic range and color. A few different videos show the comparisons. In my opinion I think GoPro is still leading the pack when it comes to overall quality from an action camera. Insta360 also has the One R.
The only time I experienced it over heating was in 90° weather at the track. I was recording in 4k but I think if you go down to 1080 it should be fine. Typically I vlog with it on my helmet in 4k in hot weather and I never had an issue. I think it’s due to all the wind hitting it while I’m riding. I had it mounted behind my windscreen at the track. Also 5k isn’t even worth the battery life or heat. No real difference from 4k resolution.
Hey Eric. Question for ya. I have a go pro 10 black on the way. I'm getting it to film on my cbr1000rr. As of right now, I don't really have a plan to put a microphone inside my helmet other than my cardo. I'm More interested in just filming my rides and having the exhaust audio recorded instead of talking. How bad of wind noise should I expect with just getting the audio from the gopro and putting one of the foam covers over it? It seems like your helmet mic still picks up the exhaust well. Would love to hear any suggestions. Thanks!
Yeah it’s going to be way too much wind with audio coming from the GoPro itself. You will have to see about putting some sort of dead cat on the external mic or just mount a min inside the helmet.
You have to use a gopro mic adapter which is sold separately. I am using a purple panda mic and I have it mounted in front of my mouth right on the side. So basically sticking out of the cheek pad a little bit.
I still have a 5 and I can't get over how different the picture quality is, definitely upgrading this week 😮💨 ngl I wish you would've uploaded this in 4k not 1080p though lol still looks better than my 4k uploads 😭
Have you upgraded yet? If so how are you liking the camera?
GREAT VIDEO FANTASTIC AWESOME VIEW FROM THE CAMERA SUPERB

Hi! Just got a Hero 10, and I was wondering how does it perform while riding as far as the notorious overheating issues?

I might have missed it but how do you get your mic to work and what mic do you use and how do you mount your mic stuff
You have to use a gopro mic adapter which is sold separately. I am using a purple panda mic and I have it mounted in front of my mouth right on the side. So basically sticking out of the cheek pad a little bit.
@@itsmeericb would it pick up audio from your communications device or speakers playing music?

I did upload in 4k! You may have to watch on a computer. Our phones only go to 1080p.
@ItsMeEricB Oh I'll see how it looks on my laptop lol 👌
how's the battery
@@Nyxon not the greatest in terms of how long it lasts
@@itsmeericb how long does it last you typically
The vill hasn't changed much in 11 years 😂.
Crystal 🤌🏿🤌🏿
Should have got the 11 🙃
Yeah I thought about it but I’m satisfied with the 10. 😅👍
@@itsmeericbI’m debating on a 10/11 for motorvlogs bro. 10 is cheaper . How much did you pay?
Don't forget the RR.😂
