Probably not, but there’s been some comments about it. If those continue, maybe, but right now don’t hold your breath. Just being candid but appreciate it!
@@UnrealAdventure4x4 if anyone were to bring it back, hypothetically of course, it would be you guys. Maybe have Fred and Dave and Ian be the judges/hosts.
Great build. The JK frame and super-duty axles are a winning recipe, but the sheet metal on top makes this rig. I especially like the rolled tube work :)
Awesome build! However, I still like the CJ-6 the most. That and Fred’s Tube Sock were the inspiration for my build I’m working on. It’s a 2020 JL 3.0 on 42’s and CA legal. Any how, one of these days I hope to make the cut for Unreal Adventure. It’s on my bucket list.
I would like to learn more about the new communications you all use. Our CB radios are pretty hard to understand for some people. Also, I would like to be able to listen to my spotter without distraction. Anyone got a good read/video that explains this? Its time for an update.
So, did you use axles from a 99-04 or a 05 and up? I love the look of this build and have a 1964 c900 I am in the process of building hopefully in the hopes of making it on ua one day. I have a 2003 sd chassis that I am using.
Yes, highway rpm was the ultimate deciding factor between the two gearset choices. The difference in rpm between 5.13s and 4.88 at 75 mph is less than 150 rpm, which isn't huge and probably wouldn't even be noticed by many. However, these UA builds get driven on the street a LOT, not just during UA but after as well. When you're cranking down an empty highway in top gear for 10 or 14 hours a day, that rpm savings becomes a little more appreciated. For 40s and a V-8 gas engine, 5.13s are admittedly the better all-around gear, but the Hemi makes plenty of hp and torque, so we're not really missing the extra grunt through the rpm curve that the 5.13s provide. And with the Offroad Design Magnum Box Underdrive, NP205, and 5.6:1 First in the NV4500 it's got up to a 145:1 crawl ratio, which is PLENTY of gearing for off roading. Conversely, there really isn't any appreciable strength advantage in one gearset over the other (at least considering the D60 front) so 5.13s would have been a fantastic choice as well.
You guys should bring back top truck challenge

We use VHF radios on UA. Very clear with very good range. We will consider a future video that gets into trail comms. Thanks!
Was that a GROLSCH Beer bottle for radiator overflow?? Very cool - saw it in action on dirt head shed video!!
Yes it's the overflow resi.
Comments for the algorithm
It’s not a car dammit! It’s a truck!!!
We get it. West coast vs. east coast nomenclature.

The axles are out of a 2007 F-350
Very special lol
Why 4.88s and not 5.13s? Going for highway performance?
