Another talk in "Mind - The Wild Animal" series. It addresses the relationship between the five lower fetters and citta. As mentioned previously, this practice applies only to those who are already firmly established in virtue and have been restraining their senses from intentional distractions and unbeneficial states. Otherwise, any notion of "heart," "body," or "mind" that they hold will not pertain to the true internal physicality of rupa, and thus their citta will remain indiscernible to them. ____________________________________ If you wish to support our work, the Hillside Hermitage Sangha and this channel you are very welcome to do so via: www.hillsidehermitage.org/support-us
I want to know which of the 4 stages of enlightenment are actual events, and which you see as merely transitions. And what the elements are of actual events. I do not think it is good to keep these things mysterious. There ought to be expressly understood knowledge that is known and agreed upon by all that have attained the various stages. Because there are too many phoney teachers that hinder the potentials of the many that strive.
What do you mean by “actual events”. And is that important and relevant to your situation you’re in right now. Will knowing which are actual events or which are transitions help you move forward. It’s important to ask the right questions. What causes you to suffer? Why are you suffering? Are you restraining your senses? Are you free from suffering? What is the nature of lust? What is the nature of pride/conceit? As you sit there now at this moment is there a sense of confidence? Do you have right view? Have you allowed that right view to be reflected upon and does it remain even in the face of your desired closing in on you?

Consider writing out the captions. Your voice is very low and you use much jargon with a thick accent.

You must try to focus only on listening, not interpretation.
