Hey, i’m new to the channel, i am a senior in highschool and i’ve always loved nature and i decided at one point that landscape architecture is the thing for me, however i’m taking a gap year, and want to practice some skills useful for the career, and i’m wondering if you know where i could start gaining knowledge whether it be getting a little into plant science or color theory, or even drainage. i just have no clue where to start and wanna start getting somewhere
I think UA-cam will honestly be your best place to start for some surface level information. But there are some good books out there too! Check out one of my videos on some books to read as a landscape architect!
Glad to see I reached my alma mater! I think Morpholio Trace and AutoCad are really a lot different in what they do. AutoCad is all about precision and documentation, whereas Morpholio Trace is all about sketching ideas and exploring options. I think you would find that you will use Morpholio a ton in the beginning of the design phases and as things get more and more settled design wise, you would move into CAD to do all of the more specific details
@@DesignItGreen I watched your video on the sun/shade diagram but it's a bit too rushed in my opinion. Can you maybe make a more detailed video on that because I really find it as a very great demonstration of a sun/shade. I'm doing a Functional and Ideal Functional Diagram and your example is perfect. Unfortunately it's due this Friday and your video on it is a bit hard to follow but I would appreciate it if you can remake it with much more detail please.
@@DesignItGreen Thanks for your response! I am currently a roadway engineer, looking to somehow enhance my career and passion through landscape architecture. Not sure where to begin but I would entertain the idea of switching to landscape architecture if I continue to find it increasingly more engaging.

there should be a + icon if you scroll to the top of the stencil window where you can add your own
Please review the LARE exam and how to pass.
I would love to eventually, but I have no credibility in that department as I just became eligible to take that exam myself!

yes! can be very stressful and hard to step away from at times, but love the impact I can have
