    You two are absolutely beautiful. Your voices are SO important!! You are first class...I have the feeling that you ARE who you appear to be on the videos... that’s not always true..I think you two are very authentic. I appreciate and honor your vulnerability..thank you for letting me in to sacred places. I’m decades older than you are...I’m learning things from you that I’ve NEVER known before!! Thank you!! I’m sending you LOVE!! 💜🌈💜

    This may be an exercise that will be very difficult but also very necessary for me. I tend to have self deprecating tendencies and I know it's not healthy to think of myself so negatively. Although I have tried to see myself differently and in a more positive light, I keep hearing my mother's voice in the back of my head asking me, "do you ever wonder what its like to be beautiful?" Or telling me, "your friends only hang out with you because you are not competition." (Referring to people not finding me as attractive as my friends). Growing up hearing things like that has definitely caused me to have a negative self image and I need to find a way to break that down and see myself in a better light. Thank you both for giving me a tool to possibly help that process.

      So, I tried it. I stood in front of a mirror and I looked at myself. Pointed out all the things I saw that I liked. Its definitely harder than it sounds. But after I cried I did feel better. Thank you hannah and sadie!

    Oh wow, absolutely loved this.. 💕.. With all the negativity in this world, this is the perfect video to end the week...
    You are beautiful women, inside and out and have the most gorgeous eyes...
    We all need to learn to love ourselves more, and see the beauty in our differences....
    Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it - Confucius..
    Everyone has beauty, we need to see it, acknowledge it, and affirm it..
    Dankie dames. 💕🌼🇿🇦

    You have made many great video’s so far, I’ve enjoyed watching all of them (even multiple times..). But this one, this hits differently. This is so pure, so real, and so true. For myself I hope I will come back to this, to learn how you should actually do this. To not forget how important this is. Thank you, for all your stories you are sharing with us. For being so pure and real. You inspire me, to become a better version of myself, or actually to see the better version of myself that was always inside me. Thank you 🙏💞

    The solo version is about liking yourself and acknowledging and telling yourself why. Unfortunately the media and the pundits push the ads and opinion of whoever signs the check. Like yourself and be positive you can't have a negative without a positive so when you see or realize a negative set it aside and find the positive and work on that aspect. The duo version is nice because one of the people has something that they don't particularly like them both of the people and can work on it and make it positive. Great video thanks.

    This is so beautiful, ladies. Thank you. 🙏🏼. And yes, I totally get the pending tears when doing the exercise in the mirror. Self love and appreciation can be so hard. We are just not brought up to see how great we are, just as we are. What is established when we are young children, may become a lifelong challenge to override. That has been my experience, anyway. It is great to see you model how to take those first steps here. Again, bless you both. 💕. This video is going in my 'save' file. 👍🌈

    You are absolutely right it does makes you feel good. Things i am proud of my white and grey hair (being called a grandma at 16 isn't fun), my scars from my sugery, and my blue eyes.
    Three years ago i've been called fat by a kid, at first i felt sad , hurt, ugly, useless and hated my reflexion in the mirror (was scared and disgusted by my body) I spent one years avoiding every mirrors or reflecting surfaces, until i found a picture of my grandfather then i remembered what he used to tell me and everything changed, now i can admire myself and smile because i feel good.

I know how Hannah felt when she talked to herself in the mirror.. It was such an impactful moment in time!! Telling each what you love about yourself is so powerful and such a great to keep your relationship going strong.. I love my eyes cause they remind me of my dad.. I love legs and arms because how strong they are getting.. Also, since the covid-19 has happened, i have enjoyed how my hair has grown and I can wait to be able to put it a bun.. You two are still my favorite UA-camrs on here.. Much love to you both!! Stay sweet and keep on rockin!!

    That was a really needed video guys ❤️! I was born with club foot and had to go through a lot of tendon replacement surgeries early in my life and hence wasn't really active much in sports and stuff recently. I used to be really obese (BMI over 32) even two years back but I really wanted to feel healthier so I did loose weight but with recent exam pressure and I had gained weight. But I tried exercising and staying healthy in quarantine. I usually face stress eating problem a lot and so I did end up binge eating at times. But being with by myself (well sis and dad are too busy on their own 😂) and not having the constant judgement beinf passed on to me what I realized is, it all comes down to how we feel about ourselves.

    Oof. That’s probably the biggest struggle of all. I was bullied by my brother for being overweight my entire childhood. I was a hard worker from the time I could walk, yet I was assumed to be lazy because I was overweight. Ironically, the brother who bullied me was skinny (his nickname was “bones”, short for “skin and bones”), but he was the lazy one. It’s his voice I hear to this day when I look in the mirror and see all of my flaws. That scar is a deep one...

    Didn't care for this one. You both are in great physical shape. We see that. You two are not usually shallow. Rather you had talked about something that's not perfect already on your body. Or to say I feel that I am pretty considerate to everyone I meet. Of course I would be excited if I still had a flat stomach but I am 52. You mentioned about not judging on shapes I find interest and kindness more of a good quality. Just me maybe and my age

    • @denni7621
      @denni7621 4 роки тому +1

      Sonya Howell not seeking to argue here but I think the point being made is regardless of how others may view you, each individual has an internal voice that they battle with. It is not about how others see you, it is about how you see yourself. Body image was the focus of the video so while recognising kindness and positive behaviour is really super important it was not the topic of this exercise. Maybe one for the next video....exercise is self talk about your inner qualities

    • @sonyahowell5693
      @sonyahowell5693 4 роки тому

      @@denni7621 I just don't see how bragging on your own body helps others who really struggle with body imaging. Explain to me how what they did would help someone who really has a hard time with weight?

    • @denni7621
      @denni7621 4 роки тому +1

      Sonya Howell thanks for taking the time to respond and continue the engagement in this difficult topic. I cant speak for Hannah and Sadie but as someone your age who has struggled with weight issues all my life I can say that changing the internal dialogue about why the parts of your body you least like are bad to one that focuses on why they are good, eg Hannah’s example of liking her stomach because it holds her organs in place not because it is flat, or Sadie’s comments about liking her body and legs because they help her play soccer are great examples of how you can change the dialogue. Sure this may seem easier from the outside when you are looking at people who seem in great physical shape, but for all people, especially girls, from the inside no one but the individual knows the struggles they are having learning to appreciate all parts of themselves. The focus of the exercise has to be about the value the parts of your body add to your life so for me an area of much angst as a younger person was my child bearing hips and thighs, but by changing that dialogue to one that recognised those areas made it possible for me to do much heavier leg presses than most of my circle of friends, cycle long distances and hit a golf ball much further than people expect ( its all in the timing of using that body mass) I was able to appreciate that part of my body more....do I love it, no...can I appreciate it .. yes.
      Like many topics that are challenging, starting the dialogue even if it is not perfectly done should be commended and encouraged and I think that is largely the goal of this channel which I think is awesome.

    • @anwensu4381
      @anwensu4381 4 роки тому +1

      @Sonya Howell I did like this video, but I agree with the point you made about good qualities. Body positivity isn't just about complimenting the things you like about your body; it's also about recognizing that you are so much more than your body. These ladies may just be more into physical fitness, and I think it is beautiful to see them celebrating their strengths, and their right to do so. I enjoy exercise and mentally celebrate when I notice myself getting stronger, but there are many other important things in my life, such as writing and learning more about what helps me with my mental health. Think of how your body helps you to do the things you love. For example, I may not love how my arms look, but they allow me to type down ideas for all the characters and stories that I love to create. I may wish my eyes were a different color, but they allow me to see beautiful beaches and sunsets that put my mind back at ease on tough days. To answer your question below, for someone who has a really hard time with body image and weight, reframing thoughts like this can help you see your body as an instrument, not an ornament. I also agree with the other person who replied to your comment-they cited some great examples of this kind of inner dialogue in this video.
