🌙 ABOUT ME 🌙
Hi! My name is Alice and I love books! I read just about everything from classics to contemporary fiction, adventures to mysteries, fantasy to all kinds of non-fiction - and I love reviewing and recommending books, and just generally having a chat about literature. I also adore baking, hot chocolate, crafts and basically everything cosy, soft and peaceful. I currently live in Oslo, Norway.

Vera Wong's unsolicited advice for murderers is amazing! Vera has a charm as a character, but also her comments here and there are hilarious! I hope you like it!
I have to read By Ash Oak and Thorn if only for that gorgeous cover! I also finally got Emily Wilde's Encyclopedia of Fairies after your suggestion. Feel's like a good time to get to it.
Sounds perfect 😍
I read What the River Knows as an ARC last year and I loved it! It was so entertaining traveling back in 1800s' Egypt. The story was exciting, with a dash of romance and magic.
Love that 😍
Looking forward to how you like What the river knows, that will probably influence whether I will pick it up too. You're my go-to channel for adventure book recommendations 😅😅
Aaaah that makes me so happy!! 😍 I hope I’ll love it so I can recommend it 🥰
Excited to see there is another book by Travis Baldree! I'm listening to Legends and Lattes now. It's different than anything I've read beforw but I'm enjoying it.
I’m glad you’re enjoying it 🥰
We had a really mild winter in the UK but I’m here for the lighter evenings
Vera Wong was quite the character! I’m hoping that there might be a sequel someday.
My favorite book of all time is The Dovekeepers by Alice Hoffman. Highly highly recommend!
Ooooh I’ll have to add that to my TBR 😍
@@TheBookCastle i just recommended it to Alice. Its right up her street in terms of the storytelling of the four women. Glad you enjoyed it. X
P.S. Currently reading " Anne Of G.G. (re-read) The Enchanted Spring, then Hester, then hopefully The Paris Apt. Usually a mood and seasonal reader, but not always.
Plenty to keep you busy there. Best wishes with what you choose to read. I hope you get some great stories. I'm currently reading the Count of Monte Cristo. I might be some time.
Looks like a great collection of books to read. I don't do a seasonal tbr I do them month to month but as we are in the midst of autumn in Tasmania I am kind of gravitating towards cozy mysteries a bit. I look forward to seeing what you think of the books you selected 🥰
Love that 😍 Wish it was autumn here too, it’s my favorite 🍂
Love again from a 43 degree heat in Thailand 😢❤😊 ive just read The Dovekeepers by Alice Hoffman. Incredible , hard to put down.
The Dovekeepers is such a powerful book
I’ve got The Invisible Hour on my list too! I just finished Small Favors by Erin A. Craig, it’s a really great book for springtime
Love it 😍
Hi Alice
These Books sounds so so good. I hope that you will enjoy them.
Take Care & Reading

Vera Wong is so much fun and I really enjoyed it. I liked Bookshops and Bonedust better than Legends and Lattes. Alice Hoffman is a wonderful author. I'll have to add The Impossible Girl to my tbr.
Thank you Alice ! Can't wait to see your review of these books
Im planning to read both Bookshops and Bonedust, and What The River Knows soon 😊 hopefully we both like them
I hope so too! 🥰
Your eyebrows are very nice , thank you for the video
Hi Alice, I am also SO OVER WINTER!! I live in S.E .Mi. USA and the weather has been so all over the place, WIERD, and just ucky. No Spring here yet. No buds on trees, temps in 30's occasionally 40's Sleet, snowshowers, very windy. Today 50!? When I read Scripture, I can't help but think it is all connected to the bk. of Revelation. Climate change yes, but via Revelation. So thank you for some of these bk. recommendations, wrote some down.Been curious about "What The River Knows" and Ash, Oak and Thorn" . REALLY interested in " Vera Wongs Unsolicited... "! Thanks Alice 🤗
Always love your book recommendations! I read By Ash, Oak and Thorn and it’s such a lovely read, there’s also a sequel called By Rowan and Yew which is also very sweet and an even prettier cover.
On my spring TBR I have ‘To Battersea Park’ , ‘Welcome to the Hyunam-Dong Bookshop’ and ‘The Other side of Mrs Wood’
Yeees, and the cover for the sequel is so autumnal and pretty 😍 Your TBR sounds great!
I’m reading What the River Knows this month for my book club and I can’t wait!! Also really enjoyed Bookshops and Bonedust and Vera Wong ❤️
Hope you enjoy it! :D
@@TheBookCastle Thank you!! Same to you 😊

@@TheBookCastle ❤️
Dream Department Store is aldo on my tbr but it is wierdly expesive here where I am currently staying at
Ahhh Alice, still 🤣 at your vision of Future you 👵🏻🔪🧶🕵🏻♀️. It's been 🌷 here in Middle England since mid-February, in part cos you guys had all the 🤪🌨️⛈️...🤗🤗. Amazing TBR, I feel like Spring lends itself to adventure stories, maybe the new energy before Summer 🌞🌞. Currently just started T Kingfisher's The House with Good Bones 🏚️🦴.... seems a Southern Gothic-y Haunted family home tale, i have high hopes.... First line " There was a vulture on the 📬 of my grandmother's house " 😁🪻
Amazing! 🥰🥰
@@TheBookCastle will report back! 😃
Absolutely loved The House with Good Bones!
@@candacenagle505 ooooh! 🩵💙💜
Alice are these books chosen from your shelves or bought recently? Thank you. Im trying not to buy more but read only from my shelves this year
It’s a mix 😊
@@TheBookCastle thank you
I am busy reading the entire series of The No 1 ladies, detective agency by Alexander McCall Smith. The Miss Marple of Botswana if you will 😊
🩵🤍🖤🤍🩵 adore this series! 😍
I’ve heard great things about that series, I should really try it 😍
@@TheBookCastle alice you would love this series. Storytelling in the dusty plains of Botswana. Adventures of many kinds.
@@phoenixjones660 its a delightful series isnt it....😊
You would love Agatha Christie's Miss Marple books. She is an elderly busy body who helps to solve murder mysteries. (You probably already read Agatha Christie. I just thought I would mention them.)
You’re spot on, I love Miss Marple 😍
Alice has a whole collection of Agatha Christie. I am reading The Marple of Botswana series as stated in my comment. Lovely series about a women detective in the dusty streets of Botswana. I hope Alice adds it to her TBR. X
