Omg the throne of glass series is holding you hostage at this point 😂💀but honestly relatable, I’ve been avoiding reading Night film, S. & house of leaves like my life depends on it lmao
Oh my goodness I'm so so happy I'm not alone when it comes to purposely not finishing a series because it's too sad to finish and have it be over 😢😅 I do it with stand alone books too if it's really really good I will make myself read it slower 😂❤
I’m on the 2nd book of ACOTAR series and it’s a bit slow for me. Taking me a while to get into it. I think I’m just in a reading slump. I hate starting new books without finishing a series first, so I must get through ACOTAR this year. That’s my only reading goal for 2024 lol. Anyway, I like to see what other’s are reading so thnx for sharing your list.
The tandem read made ToD so much easier to get through. And honestly by the halfway point of ToD it gets really good. I felt the same way about the book not centering on Aelin before I read them
Also a massive fan of the mummy movies. What the river knows became my second ever 6 star read. I finished it 2 weeks ago and not a day has passed were I have not thought of it.
I'm exactly the same Jodie! If I am enjoying a series both reading and watching, I find myself never actually finishing them as I never want them to end.
I will say I suffered a reading slump once and it wasn’t until I stepped away from fantasy and picked up another genre that I was able to get out of it. Fantasy is my first love but I needed to take that break- maybe that’s something to try? I know you said you wanted to diversify your reading so good luck and I hope you Can finally put the slump behind you in 2024!
Ahh I loved Ruthless Vows so much and I gave the series both 5 stars!! I love you and your videos so much! Love you, ARMY bestie!! Waiting for 2025 to come!!
I started TOG at the end of August and I am now 2/3s through Kingdom of Ash, it has taken me soooo long and not because I don't like it, I absolutely love it, even as much as ACOTAR, if not more, but I just don't want it to ever end so I just a sneak a chapter or 2 in here and there. Also, please tandem read TOD and EOS..it was sooo good. I'm so happy I read them like that, even though I thought it would be a headache but it was brilliant. :). Also, Chaol completely redeems himself in that book and both books flow together so nicely :)
great video!! my main goals this year is to read the big chunky fantasy books that I have on my shelves and overall read more of my physically owned books. also can't wait for the bookshelf tour. do you plan on start tracking your owned books?
As someone who also doesn't like Chaol, I'd suggest doing the tandem read of Empire of Storms and Tower of Dawn. I did it on my reread of the series and enjoyed it so much more (so much, that I now prefer the series to ACOTAR)
Do u have a favourite book shelf ? Would love to see that if it’s too much to do a tour. Or do a shelf a time like books with Chloe did instead of all in one video 😊
Loving the new aesthetic. Also just started Kingdom of Ash it’s taken me years to get to lol. I started a tandem read of EOS & TOD and ended up reading the second half of them separately. TOD was way better than I expected and I enjoyed it more than EOS tbh
hey jodie i'm in the middle of the tandem read of eos and tod. I'm enjoying reading them together and I find I'm routing for chaol.which surprised me and kingdom of ash is on my list. I also have zodiac academy book 1 on my 24 books of 24. I'm not keen on Zapata writing but it was years ago I read wall of Winepeg so maybe I might try her again. Dawn of onyx was really good looking forward to book 2. Define rivals and ashes of the star crossed king are there too and lady of darkness book 2 loved the first in the series. I'm hoping I achieve most of my 24 books, good luck
I have Junji Ito on my tbr too! I have two of his short story collections to get through 💪 I also need to get through the last few books in Throne of Glass 🥲
I stop reading physical books since 2021 I have 55 faves on the shelves and all my books I have is Kindle, just so much comfortable and easy to read, especially in bed I take mine everywhere, and I read so much faster then normal book ❤
You should tandem read Empire of Storms and Tower of Dawn, because I read them separate, and it was painfully slow getting through TOD alone. I absolutely despised TOD. If I could go back, I would’ve tandem read it to make it easier.
Have you heard of the tandem read where you read EoS and Tower oD together. Know a lot of people like it. I read them separately but personally I really liked Chaol so I flew threw ToD.
Honestly Tower of Dawn is one of the best book of the series. I seriously believe that if someone says that love tog and not read and love tod they are fake fans
The gleeful "YEAAAAHHHH" I let out when that big stack of books slid into frame 🎉 Pretty sure my "24 books from my bookshelves" goal would look like that if I stacked them up. LOL The 24 from my shelves are things I've had hanging around for a couple of years at least, and are all things I still really want to read: The Book of Strange New Things by Michael Faber The City of Brass (The Daevabad Trilogy, #1) by SA Chakraborty Future Home of the Living God by Louise Erdrich Early Riser by Jasper Fforde Black Leopard, Red Wolf (The Dark Star Trilogy, #1) by Marlon James Djinn Patrol on the Purple Line by Deepa Anappara I Will Die in a Foreign Land by Kalani Pickart Lotería by Mario Alberto Zambrano The Book of Form and Emptiness by Ruth Ozeki The City We Became (Great Cities, #1) NK Jemisin Reel (Hollywood Renaissance, #1) by Kennedy Ryan Eloquent Rage: A Black Feminist Discovers Her Superpower by Brittany Cooper Ravished by Amanda Quick American Queen (New Camelot Trilogy, #1) by Sierra Simone Miranda in Milan by Katharine Duckett The Turnout by Megan Abbott The Bird King by G Willow Wilson Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents by Isabel Wilkerson Unmarriageable by Soniah Kamal Wrath Goddess Sing by Maya Deane Calling for a Blanket Dance by Oscar Hokeah The Books of Jacob by Olga Tokarczuk A Woman Is No Man by Etaf Rum The Map of Salt and Stars by Zeyn Joukhadar
Don't overthink it! Read the books otherwise give them away to folk who will enjoy them. I have the three Sarah J. Maas books starting with House of Earth and Blood so that i can read them all, not after each other but so i have them. I just don't have time to overthink books and why i can't finish a series, i have too many books to do this!
Omg, the Zodiac Academy books are phenomenal! I think you will love them. 🤩 There is so much action, tension, sexy times and just a phenomenal time. 😊 But it is not a RH. The Ruthless Boys of the Zodiac is RH. 😊
There are alot of books I want to read as I have too many to count but I would like to try snd get to Sarah J Maas's books, I have finished A Court of Thorns and Roses series, and haven't started the House of Earth and Blood series. I know I'm so far behind I'll see what I can do ❤❤❤
Message for Jodie and everyone in chat help please: I love these videos :D on my list for 2024 DivineR 1 and 2, Moon godess 1&2: Im torn between the paperback or the Hardback I need bigger writing yeah almost 40 YOld😂🧐🤓 and Have some eyes issues is it big enough in the HB edition? sometimes the PB are writing bigger so Im a bit lost lol (im buying them online since im from France).thks for your help.
Okey, hear me out, you are such an example! Once I am getting spoiled I would never read that book! And then small confession I've read the totality of Throne of Glass without Tower of Dawn, I can't. I don't like Chaol and I don't want to read that book.
I only finished the Throne of Glass series at the start of this year. Similarly I love the series but the sheer size/chonkyness of the last few books put me off. It was good but I think if I read it through again I would use audiobooks for the last few.
I’m glad you enjoyed them! I’m currently reading Empire of Storms and loving it! A lil scared to read the next two though, i will likely audiobook Tower of Dawn!
the light editing/ light filter on your videos lately looks absolutely stunnnnnninnnnn 💖
empire of storms is my fave of the series
i h8 chaol too but the first time i read tod i didn’t hate it
what’s the trope you hate hahah i have to knowww 😂
Omg the throne of glass series is holding you hostage at this point 😂💀but honestly relatable, I’ve been avoiding reading Night film, S. & house of leaves like my life depends on it lmao
That from Lukov with love edition is amazing 😵
Would love to see a video of you counting how many books you have - and telling us the amount you have read/haven't read on your shelves!
Oh my goodness I'm so so happy I'm not alone when it comes to purposely not finishing a series because it's too sad to finish and have it be over 😢😅 I do it with stand alone books too if it's really really good I will make myself read it slower 😂❤

hopefully it’s worth the very long wait hehe 😂💖

Can finally put the slump behind you in 2024!
I’m so excited for you to finish tog!!! And yes to more vlogs!!!✨🫶🏽
Ahh I loved Ruthless Vows so much and I gave the series both 5 stars!! I love you and your videos so much! Love you, ARMY bestie!! Waiting for 2025 to come!!
i’m so excited to read it! and hehe yes it’s can’t come quick enough!! 🐳💜

Thank you for sharing your books with us! Love watching an update from my favorite Fairy!

Same! Tower of Dawn was so much better doing the tandem read.
the zodiac academy books are the ultimate emotional damage! i was WRECKED
Read "What the River Knows" ASAP! One of my favorite books of last year and the sequel comes out this year and you will LOVE it
Do u have a favourite book shelf ? Would love to see that if it’s too much to do a tour. Or do a shelf a time like books with Chloe did instead of all in one video 😊
I'm similar with the manga goal, I really want to read more this year as I love it! I'm going to try to read a manga for every book I read I think 💕
Loving the new aesthetic. Also just started Kingdom of Ash it’s taken me years to get to lol. I started a tandem read of EOS & TOD and ended up reading the second half of them separately. TOD was way better than I expected and I enjoyed it more than EOS tbh
I also just read the once upon a broken heart series, legit binged it. So addictive. The first two for me were 5 stars, the final one was 4 :-)
In 2024 I really need to finish series too. 💪🏼 May and so far I finished one… 😥

yes i do love a kindle read it’s so much easier! Im glad you’ve found something that works for you. 💓😊
You should tandem read Empire of Storms and Tower of Dawn, because I read them separate, and it was painfully slow getting through TOD alone. I absolutely despised TOD. If I could go back, I would’ve tandem read it to make it easier.
I’m pretty sure Maas hinted to another TOG book in her recent interview.

I am desperate to read ruthless vows!! I’m so gutted I’ve finished divine rivals during my book ban because curiosity is literally KILLING me 😂
I always forget you haven't finished ToG!
Empire of Storms is sooooo good. I am also one of those people who loves Tower of Dawn. KoA I didn't love.
I still need to read divine rivals 🫠
Maybe you can spread TOG out and just read one for the next three years lol
Message for Jodie and everyone in chat help please: I love these videos :D on my list for 2024 DivineR 1 and 2, Moon godess 1&2:
