Want to get this raceseng brand shift knob for my 2020 c-hr but it was a push release automatic didn’t think aftermarket knobs would work unless you replace them with other push release knobs
@@datghettoazn127 1: U need to uninstall the original one 2: U need to put the rubber part on the metal part of ur gear selector! Not the plastic pin on top of it (that's the mechanism that's ''unlock'' the ability to go from drive to reverse or park or even to go from park to drive/reverse. 3: U need to put ur higher piece of your new shift knob first 4: Then, u need to put the lower piece of your new shift knob and screw it to the rubber piece 5: Then, u need to screw the two pieces of ur new shift knob together After that, it should be ready to go ;) Of course, u might need to find the ''perfect position'' for ''step 4'' because you shouldn't be able to go through all the gears without pushing the button of ur new shift knob. (If you can do that, u might have some difficulties taking out ur key of the ignition). It would mean that you put the bottom piece of your new shift knob (step 4) too low for the ''plastic push pin''. U can also cut a little bit of this ''plastic pin'' for better fitment. I know I'm not the best to explain that since it's pretty much a visual thing to do cause it depends on the car you have and the shifter u choose but I did that a while ago on a 350z with the same shift knob that this guy used in the video! Hope it would give you some help!

No that’s the reason why it pushes down it eliminates the button which pushes that blue piece down when you press it
