- Hi and welcome to the Solène Wrap Midi Skirt. My name is Karolina and in this video, I’ll show you how to make this midi wrap skirt using my sewing pattern called Solène.
The pattern is available in sizes UK 6-16 / EU 34-44 / US 2-12/ AU 6-16 and you can buy it from my Etsy shop (link below). The pattern I'm using for this video is a UK size 8. If you have any more questions feel free to leave a comment down below :)

Bought this fun timeless pattern skirt.👌 Fabric (pink linen) has already been cut and now I just have to sew it together. With this clear tutorial I will manage! I still have some time for this. After all, this will be a spring /summer skirt.

Great video! If I wanted to make this slightly longer, could I extend it easily from your pattern? I’d like it to be mid-calf length.
Absolutely, it's very easy to make it a mid-calf or mini version ☺️
Wow such a helpful video! Im planning to purchase this pattern but i want to check with you if its possible to make it maxi length? And is there anyway to secure the skirt with stitching so it doesn’t come undone when i run after my toddler
Of course, you can make a maxi length just by extending front and back panels and the front panel underneath goes all the way to the side and it won't show any legs or barely while walking :)

Thank you so much 🤗 ❤️ you could perhaps double fold the fabric and topstitch or run the edge with a zig zag stitch, fold 1cm and topstitch. Hope that helps ! xx

Absolutely, I think any fabric would work as long as it's not too see through ☺️

You’re pattern only goes to US 12, how would I need to adjust it if I am a US 14? Thank you!
You can make a size up by following the pattern grading but with wrap over styles it's quite easy to fit multiple sizes so I think size 14 would be just fine. If you don't want to do any extra work. Hope that helps xx ❤️

Hello, I am new to this world of clothing but I love your channel, I would recommend that you put the measurements on the pieces because like me, many of us who visit your channel but do not speak English find it difficult to understand the measurements or the recommendations you give.

Does this skirt have a visible slit?
Not really, the front panels wrap over eachother and even while you walk legs aren't exposed. Hope that helps :)
What kind of fabric do You use for this skirt?
I used a linen fabric :)
@@tintofmint So linen doesn't need to be lined. When you do add a lining does that mean it needs to be dry-cleaned? Do you have to serge the edges that are inside the waist band? How does linen take to button holes.
Forget the pins on hemming though,,,waste of time, just turn up as you sew Same result and your fingers won’t get pricked either 🤪
