This was literally the best explanation of Power Platform I’ve come across. I love how clear and clean you explain everything. I’ve been looking for UA-cam videos to make my staff watch and here I ended up finding a new favorite page! 👍🏼from🇨🇦
Great job summarising such a wide-ranging set of capabilities so clearly. I know it takes a lot of eff ort to communicate complex topics correctly and clearly. I really appreciate the effort you put into making this great video. Thanks!
Someone just asked me for an overview video and I thought to look at this platform. Out of tons of overview videos, I must say you nailed it Lisa. Thank you for this!
At the 14:08 minute mark " ... thanks for watching. I hope that's been helpful ..." OMG ... incredibly helpful. The video came out two years ago ... and I am just finding it now ... 🤦♂ Terrific overview ... thank you ... thank you ... thank you ... 😍
Lisa this is incredible. You have a gift with teaching - succinct, very well said, and great use of examples to solidly knowledge! Great video - really helped me understand the MS Power Platform
Amazing video. Succinct, clear, useful explanation of the entire Power Platform in less than 15 minutes. Very impressive! I look forward to learning more!
Loved your ability to present the crucial points of this topic! I am preparing for an interview and your video really helped me get through my questions! Subscribed!
Thanks Lisa, this has been very helpful to help me make up my mind on what I want to select for my electives in my Bigdata Msc. Power platform sounds amazing.
Excellent explanation. Might need a bit of an update re the AI builder, but Lisa's are the only UA-cams I watch where I have to slow the speed down! Usually it's the other way! So much in there and all is relevant 10/10
You're right, there is actually quite a lot that could be updated here, it's on my (very long) list of videos to make! I honestly watch everyone else at high speed too. And I talk much faster in real life, I've had to learn to slow it down!
Great explanation of the Power Platform Fundamentals, Lisa! You have a real talent for conveying complex ideas and concepts clearly. I'm currently working through one of your Model-Driven App tutorials for an Asset Management system, and it's been incredibly helpful. I will be working through a lot more of your tutorials. Keep up the fantastic work!
Bless your heart! I was looking for a simple and straight forward training like this. It was more informing and inciteful than longer videos. Thank you!
I thumbed-up only 3 minutes in, 'cause this is so excellent, watched it all the way to the end, then moved my mouse to thumbs-up again only to remember I already had. Hah! I wish I could like this more, in a way UA-cam would understand. Thank you!
I've been watching quite a few of your videos today and decided to subscribe. Clear and concise explanations, much appreciated. I have one quick question: within this suite, is there a capability to run emails from outlook through an application and trigger workflows?
Thanks so much for subscribing. You can trigger workflows (using Power Automate) to send out emails, or on receiving an email. Tell me more about what you mean / your use case for running emails through an application, I don't know enough to answer the question from what you've said here.
@@LisaCrosbie Hello Lisa, thanks for replying to my question. I wanted to know if it is possible to run emails received in outlook through Power Automate, trigger a workflow and send a response on the back end of the workflow. Basically all our work is on outlook and i am looking to find a way of running email queries through a platform with defined workflows and allow me to have data for analysis.
I like this presentation❕ It was creative & engaging. I subconsciously couldn't find anything wrong with the content. It provided more than enough info but not too much. However, isn't Dataverse also called Common Data Service❔ As someone who is interested in taking the PL-900 exam - Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals - your presentation is very helpful as an overview. Now, I see 1 of the reasons why you're an MVP⭐ (Most Valuable Professional😉). Props to the Ghostbuster vehicle aka Ectomobile👻🚓, I believe, in the bg. Thanks!
Thanks, your presentation was good. One issue: maybe it's just me but the screenshots that accompanied your explanation were not in focus. Headache and loss of opportunity to study them while you talked.
It all looks nice and shiny, but you have not covered anything related to a code for the apps, releases, promoting from one environment to another. Any case studies who was working with this?
Those would be a lot of other videos (that I haven’t made yet). Best place to look for case studies is on the Microsoft site or channels. I can’t do them here without any customer consent.
Ive been doing bunch of red-teaming lately where power apps, automate and data verse is the weak link used for both data access but also code execution. Its scary that so many things are enabled by default for the whole company. Im not sure why this approach was considered a good idea.
@@LisaCrosbie when you talk the transcript has been shown at the bottom of the screen. If you gather and attach all your speech together it helps your followers to have notes in addition to your speech .
AI builder is drag and drop low code. Azure AI gives you full control over choosing and controlling language models and AI solutions. AI builder uses Azure Ai underneath but it’s simplified for common ready to use scenarios.
That’s Dataverse for Teams. Full Dataverse goes to full enterprise scale, way beyond that. In either case though it’s a relational database with business logic and security.
Hello, thanks your video. Is it possibility to use model-driven app if customer have different crm or database or management offerer or use totallyt different data in their system. You can only use a model driven app with Dataverse as the data source. If you want to build an app connected to another data source you should use a canvas app. You might find this video helpful ua-cam.com/video/D5rHJsBShMQ/v-deo.html
model-driven apps require a common data service database a flow instance can only access one common data service database canvas apps require a common data service database
Common Data Service is now called Dataverse. Yes, you need it for a model driven app. Yes, a flow can only access one Dataverse environment. But canvas apps can be built on any data source, you don't need Dataverse for them.
Not necessarily the case. Have your IT pros set up all the security and connections to other data sources properly. Then you can use low code as a way to speed up building more complex use cases or allow business users to use templates and drag and drop design to build smaller apps they need - rather than using Excel which has no security at all.
Sounds like there's no AI in Power Virtural Agent, as the answer need to be prepared in advance, is it? And you need to do it for every single question. sounds not very useful.
