- Опубліковано 20 гру 2017
- I just got back from my "Photographing Paradise" Workshop on the island of Kauai in Hawaii. The workshop was 7 days of seascapes, jungles mountains, flip flops and 75 degree days. Just what a guy needs in December. The trip was one of the most fruitful trips I have ever had, coming home with thousands of photos. Hope you enjoy the video!

Was watching this on my phone in the car but I feel like I'm going to have to save this for tonight for the big screen! Just found your channel and can't wait to tuck in
I hope to get over there someday for a photo shoot. Thanks for sharing your awesome photos and locations to check out!
Some absolutely stunnin' images Nick! :)
Glad you got a little sunshine in the middle of our cold, cold December and hoping you have a wonderful holiday.
loved the Thomas Heaton's quote!
I lived in Kauai for 3 months on a clinical internship this past year and it was life changing. Such a magical place that I can't wait to go back to.
The fifth image at the end is one of the best photos i've ever seen. Congrats
Wow....I lived out there for 7 years....well before I took up photography. Thank you for reminding me how absolutely beautiful that place is. Great video.
Great video to follow up a fantastic workshop. Thanks again for everything Nick!
Yep December best time to shoot waves. There’s many sites on the island that you missed but it’s a good reason to come back to the island. Aloha Nick
I hadn’t seen any content from you then I remembered you were doing this workshop. As I sit here at home on the Oregon Coast I sure wished I was in that beautiful location. Thanks for sharing Nick.
So fun to watch! Definitely on my bucket list now.
very realistic and helpful
That's exactly where I stayed when I went this time last year. Definitely the most photogenic island

This is so inspiring, thank you!
Amazing photo's as usual! Love the little extra added in scenes of the trip. Thanks for sharing, looked like an awesome trip. Merry Christmas and happy New Year to you.
I was at these spots in Kauai in February during my first trip ever to the Hawaiian islands. I didn't bring my tripod because it was a pleasure trip with my wife. I got some good shots of the spectacular scenery but I couldn't get the slow motion wave shots. It was my first trip and I didn't want to return home and leave paradise either!
wow you nailed it with that outtro !!!!! Love those shots, great content!
Awesome video Nick. So inspiring and makes me want to book a flight today. Keep up the great work.

Spent two weeks there on the north shore shooting my grandson surfing those huge waves, great sunsets too
Amazing images and video!
I've not saw the video yet...
But I know I'll like it!!! Just linstening the music! :D
Fabulous captures now if only you could have brought some of that warm weather home to Washington!
epic video Nick!
Dammm Nick some Nice Pic's there ............ I wish I had tons of Money I would Love to go with you on That Trip...... This is Way Better than any TV shows
Truly stunning images! Glad I came across your channel. New sub! Looking forward to seeing more.
Wow, beautiful! I will never get used to the American degrees for temperature, though!
Rocking mages Nick
Wow wow wow
"Ancient Manmade" lake?!?! Beautiful shots....
Menehune’s built that fishpond it took them one night to complete
Nick, i live a few miles from the Pasco airport. If you ever wanna park at my house i'd gladly run you to and from the airport. Just wanted to throw that out there.. Killer video as always!
Great stuff Nick. You ever try a 2 or 3 stop reverse grad at the beach when the Sun is really low or just below the horizon? It's an awesome tool for that.
aaahhh wish i knew u were coming down to do a workshop, would've signed up! awesome video nick, glad u got some warm weather, any plans to come down to Oahu soon?
Nice to see you using the Dell XPS (15?)... amazing machine
Stunning shots. Can't wait to get there in March. Did you stay and shoot primarily on the north part of the island?
That`s a great Blackpool accent .
Awesome! Love the surf shot(s) the most. (All of them.) Now just move there. Why deal with the frigging weather in Washington? Just a thought. Lol! 🤓
Great photos and information on the video Nick. I'm hopefully planning a trip there in April and I was hoping you could give me some advice. I definitely want to spend some time on the north shore, but I also want to check out Waimea Canyon. Did you go south and west at all or did you stay in the north the whole time? I'm wondering if it's worth it to spend a couple nights in the south in terms of photography opportunities.
Nice post, thanks! Do you recommend a particular time of day (morning, mid day, afternoon) for helicopter tour? I have one scheduled for early morning in early January but considering changing to later in day.
Hey Nick, Somehow just seeing this video. Loved all the images!
Question - I thought the sinkhole was a walk from Secret Beach, but you talked about the Jeep getting muddy. Is there a closer place to park than Secret Beach, or do I just have the location of the sinkhole wrong?
Thanks, David
I forgot to tell you thank you for responding to my inquiry in a recent video about 500 rule
Heading to Maui in Late April. Can’t wait to experience the islands for the first time. Possibly doing a helicopter tour but not sure what lens to bring on the ride. I’m rocking a Fuji xt3 with a 10-24 & 55-200. What would you recommend?
I think you will want to shoot on the wider side.. at least I did. a 24-70 equivalent would be ideal.
What is the name of the music at intro ? Btw great video nick 😁
Beautiful images Nick!
Do you take your tripod onto airplane with gear bag, or did the airline require you to check it?
I always Leave it on my bag...never had an airline give me grief
I watched this video and nearly booked a flight to go there. Accommodation options for a last minute flight were either non-existent or really expensive.
Hey Nick what model Dell pc were you using in this video?
Hope you see this, I am flying to Kauai tomorrow from PDX, I live in Hermiston, OR. Just subscribed! Do you have some suggestions of places to photograph?
You’re going to love it. Everything on the North Shore is awesome queens bath and Ke’e beach are two Great Sunset locations
I am gonna finish the year and I dont know the name of your introduction song!!!!!
I know that hotel, I stayed there
New intro! Nice 👍. What body do you use for landscape and for your videos? Seasons greetings bud!
u r superb
Hey nick...did they let you bring that big backpack and tripod on the plane as carryon?
Yep I have flown with that set up many times no problems
OK, I was just curious because your bag looks bigger than the allowed carry-on dimensions. I will be flying to Kauai in a couple of weeks, wasn't sure if i should bring my big camera-backpack, or send my lenses through checked baggage and just carry on my small camera bag
rad
That outro!!!
Are you located in the tri-cities? Come to Bend Oregon for a weekend! My ig @justkidfromculver would be a blast to shoot with you!
I am over by Walla Walla, I shoot down in bend pretty often! Once we get some good snow I will make my way over and hit you up!
Nick Page legit man! I look forward to it! You should DM your typical go to spots so I can scout them out on Google maps.
Awesome vid however you may need to work on your english accent for future impersonation’s 😜 maybe spending some time with Tom. A colab perhaps!
He'll be able to get first hand accent coaching in Moab in October!
Didn't know Thomas Heaton was Irish?
He isn't. As you know.
He isn't. As you know.
He isn't. As you know.
6:58 Joe “Have you ever tried shooting landscapes” Rogan
The beard provides "lift" during helicopter flight??
Everyone is doing those palm slaps on the lens transitions these days ... they are really overused (sorry for the complaint), but other than that I really enjoyed the video.
Worst impression of Thomas Heston ever 😂
Your Footage look terrible (I mean FLAT), Thomas Heaton woudve done a better than you at vlogging lmao... Your Pictures are stunning tho...
Gee thanks
Nick Page what is the name of the music at intro Nick ?
