I love annotations and annotating and I recommend it to every reader. Tabbing helps me find things so I can quickly add the notes I want to my book tracker. And I annotate differently for nonfiction books and topics. But it's fun to go back and see what your old notes were when you revisit a book.
So far I think my favorite McCullough books are The Wright Brothers and John Adams. I still have three more books by him to read. I'm sorry I keep adding more books to your list. I know, there just isn't enough time. We must prioritize and multitask. 😁
I haven't read Team of Rivals yet, but I was able to find a good used copy several months ago. I read a number of books about Lee in high school for history class, including Freeman's. You should add it to your TBR when you want some light reading.
John you're adding books to my list? What are you doing to me? I still need to read JFK! LOL I'm not familiar with the author Freeman. Is the title of the Lee book, R.E. Lee: Biography?
hello Amy~ Thank you. The books were definitely full of facts I was not aware of. I lost three subs, so I guess I was cleaning house? 😬 That was not my intention, but apparently three people got offended. 🤷♀️
hello Jim~ I have read that The Warden is not one of Trollope's best books. He has a lot of more popular books, so my next try will be one of those! LOL
Hi, hello and what an April! Here I am reading fun books and there you are with these heavy hitters lol I read 3 books when we were on our trip which got me out of my mini-slump First was The Fury by Alex Michealides - This one got on my nerves at the end, I can deal with twists on twists on twists but then an ending like that just put a bad taste in your mouth The other two were Reacher books after that, both re-reads but it's been a long time since I originally read em. I remembered the big twist early in with Gone Tomorrow and forgot everything about Without Fail. Back home I read a cowboy book by William W. (and J.A.) Johnstone called Old Cowboys Never Die which was a fun little western romp about two cowhands going outlaw And last I finished up with another Reacher book, this one was The Hard Way. Again a re-read and I remembered the big twist about 70% through For May I'm on another Reacher book (A Wanted Man) and then I got some nostalgic RL Stine reads after that. I had planned on reading The Pillars of the Earth after we got back from our trip but I'm enjoying these more fun reads so I'll probably stick with those until it's time for something a little more serious Take care and have a good one!
Weird how the reading selection turned out, but I learned so much. I'm sorry to hear The Fury was annoying in the end. I've only read Michealides's book The Silent Patient. I read it in a day and figured it out. It seems like his writing is decreasing with each published book. that's the opposite of what's supposed to happen. Oh~ Hi, hello, and you read three books while on vacation?! 😲 That's a great accomplishment. Will you participate in June on the Range for western books? I hope you enjoy all of your more fun reads. Big Book Summer starts at the end of this month, do you have any fun books over 400 pages?
Oh yeah, we had a few early nights in where we took a break after walking all day to just lay in bed and relax and read. I think the next Reacher book I'm gonna read is over 400 pages but for next month I'll see about getting a serious whopper to read and participate
YES!!!! It is one of the most boring books I've read and I was really disappointed in Trollope. Thankfully I read another book before this one, so I know he became a better writer. LOL Definitely unhauling The Warden. Hope you're doing well.
Every time you do a wrap up I add books to my Tbr list. These sound so good- I really like the Wright brothers too!
LOL Sorry about that. 😁📚📚📚📚📚
So many books and so little time. The only problem with watching other book tubers channels is that it only increases the tbr. Happy reading.
That is definitely something I have caught and it is contagious. But there are a great many benefits. =) Happy reading to you too.
Cool to see the tabs in your books. I've just barely started tabs and annotating some of my books as I read them.

I really like David McCullough! I always add so many books to my list when I watch your videos and there’s not enough time 😢

Loved listening! Fascinating sounding reads and interesting thoughts! Sorry that the Warden wasn’t for you! 😅

@@BookZealots 😅😳♥️
Busy reading month! Very historical! Maybe I'll read Lust for Life after I'm done with The Letters of Van Gogh.
If you like Van Gogh, I think you'll enjoy it. The time period and his life was tragic, but interesting.
I still haven't read any Trollope. Glad you had a great reading month.

Wow
You're welcome?

If I remember right The Warden was the one Trollope I tried and got maybe 50 pages before dnfing. It was soooo boooooring.
