Just got into Minnesota and honestly didn’t know how to feel, I’ve never been to the twin cities before but this video is really making me consider it a little more. The official campus videos don’t really capture that vibe like actual students lol
My family is a Badger family as well, but I chose UMN as well. Although I got into Madison through general admission, I wasn’t accepted into the College of Engineering, whereas I was accepted into the CSE at UMN. That’s what put it over the top for me
Minnesota 2014 graduate here. Absolutely love this video. I also had the choice between Madison and University of Minnesota, but chose MN. Love it! Love it! Love it! Literally had the exact same experience after touring both campuses.
I'm at UW-Madison and also got accepted to UMN Twin Cities -- funny thing -- I feel like essentially everything you said about UMN Twin Cities also applies to UW-Madison lol. I like UW-Madison, but of course I have no basis for comparison, and to each their own -- so I feel like if you're happy at your college and you feel like there are good jobs waiting for you afterwards, then you've made a good decision.
These are literally my 2 top choices and idk which to choose what a perfect video to find. My family is also a bagder family, but like Madison is sooo large and the buildings are so old and it's basically part of the capital. Like the campus just doesn't look good, twin cities looks so beautiful and it seems so much easier to get around.
Hi bre thanks for making this video it rly helped a lot I’m currently in Malaysia and am planning to transfer to the states to pursue my degree. Been surveying many universities and I’m guessing this is my top choice now lol. The school fees are much more reasonable compared to other universities, not to mention the amazing scholarship offers. Keep it up!
I'm fixing to be a sophmore in hs and I've just been looking at UMN twin cities and I'm falling in love. Lol but I'm out of state so what you said about money may be to much idk.
I’m trying to make a decision rn and this video really helped so thanks! I’m from minnesota so i also never wanted to go to the U just because it’s in-state but now i’m 95% sure i’m committing here lol
@@jomikjomik I might be going to UW-Madison for Law school. Life is funny sometimes. Maryland is more active. More things to do. DC is right around the corner. VA/MD also are fun.
Im a sophomore at minnesota state university mankato and I hate it. Its so small and suburb-y. I love the city and I hope I could transfer there. I hope im making the right decision. I hope you like it there!

How's it going? I want to go for ME. I have a 1210 SAT and a 3.5 gpa. I think that's good enough, I am really nervous.

Just saying Minnesota was ranked one of the ugliest campuses in America.
I'm already committed to the U but you definitely validated my decision! thank you :)
Omg of course! So happy to help!!

I’m a first year at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities and it’s quite good and nice.
desperately needed this, just got accepted and I wanted to make sure my top choice was the right one
this actually helped me so much bc this is one of my top schools!!!
Is residency for international students expensive if yes then how much ??
Most of the people that go to Minnesota get rejected from Madison, it is the better school for academics, student life, sports, and safety.

btw I’ve been to willams arena (where the gophers play basketball) and there arena is kinda bad
My younger brother went to UW and no shade, but UW nice. All the schools in the Midwest are really cold. Glad MD is warmer.
So how does UW compare to UMD?

I did the same exact thing except I’m from Wisconsin. Enjoy the rest of your degree!
You are an excellent speaker. Great video! Good info. You will do well in marketing or sales, I can tell it’s in your veins!!! 😊
That is so sweet!
