I'm pretty sure the only thing I've ever used Plantern on is Survival: Fog(hard), and even then it was only to conserve sun for instants for the eventual Gargantuars. Otherwise I just use Blovers.

Did the vita trick w my friend who owned the game, which is essentially game share. There are other methods to get the game tho, but your gonna have to do your own research on that
