As a resident of Omaha myself, I believe it's a beautiful city with amazing sights, culture, people, and food. It's super underrated.

@@KaLiGr i would definitely reccomend it it’s a beautiful city with huge parks, wonderful museums and landmarks, and some really good food too (including one of my favorite german resteraunts)
My hometown! I think Omaha is quite underrated. Great aerial video! Best one I've seen of Omaha.
Omaha has grown since I was last there, the stockyards are gone but my grandparents' home still stands. Interesting on the weather from snowstorms to tornados adding the Corn Huskers, to the University of Omaha. Then Aksarben Race Track is long gone since 1995 and popped up the Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo. So many things have changed. But I miss Omaha, I miss Nebraska.

Omaha’s not exactly a “small US city”, lol. It has nearly a 500,000 city population and 1 million in the metropolitan area. I guess compared to Chicago, LA or NYC it’s small. I consider Omaha a mid major city/metro, like a Buffalo NY, Grand Rapids MI and Tulsa and Oklahoma City OK.

@@Runitback17 I think you’re right- a city/metro like Omaha would be considered small compared to a Chicago etc. When I think of a small US city, I think of a City/metro in that 100,000 to 200,000 city population range and a metro of 500,000 or smaller.
@@tromo03 lol Omaha is a small city. It’s population is a little below 500,000. It would be the 6th largest city in California after LA, San Diego, San Jose, San Francisco, Fresno, & Sacramento. I’m just saying because I’m from California. But it really is a small city. Omaha is the largest city in Nebraska.
@@californiamade5608 Lol. Like I said before, it’s all relative. Compared to LA or Chicago etc, you could say it’s “small” by comparison. But Omaha is the 40th largest city in population in the US and has a million people in its metropolitan area. Looking at it from the big picture, considering there are hundreds of cities in America with populations above 50,000, Omaha is not a small US city at all.
I am an Omahan.
The city is very welcoming, affordable and friendly.
The trail systems are great for hikers and bikers.
The only bad thing is that the public transportation is not good.
But it's a great place to live.

I’ll do Buffalo but not sure about Cleveland. I’m concerned about that airport located in Downtown. I have to find out if theres any chance to fly there for me

I love this footage! But this is just downtown Omaha. I’m born and raised in Alabama but I have been here in Omaha for 5 years now. If you wish to really express the city we need shots of north, south, east, and west Omaha. While your at it throw in la vista, Ralston, Bellevue, papillon, and Benson. I have just come to truly love this city. Truly a hidden gem to some.

@@ast4852 It looks like it is quiet and peaceful but this is since the pandemic... Every place looks quiet now, still LOL! How often do you get tornados? And traffic is definitely a pain here in San Diego too.
Grew up in Huntington Beach, CA went to school in SF & then came here for grad school & I'm still here it's SO much more laid back & the people are so sweet.
It's not the city I left in 1975, wish someone would do a fly & walk around of Benson Park, my childhood daily fishing spot, I spent the first 22 years growing up in Omaha, 1953 till 1975.

Nice video. But, theres so much more to the City than the downtown area. How could you not go to one of the countries Premier Zoos? The great Henry Doorly Zoo always ranks up in the top 3 of this country. The Old Market is also quite beautiful with all those super old charming buildings and restaurants. We also have a Air Force base here too,Offut Air Force Base. Tons of golf courses too,they're everywhere hehe. Can you believe that there is a horse racing track here too? Lots to do here you just have to look.😉 My town baby
You wouldn't be able to fly a drone over the air force base but I agree that I would have loved to see things like the zoo and maybe Laurentzen Gardens.
Omaha was once considered the gateway to the west back in those days. The river system brought everything there and Lewis and Clark used it as a post before heading westward.
Chastened, we run: back to where problems are not just dreams of good-will, where answers and freedom don't always go hand in hand. Life isn't always what it seems. And a world that just was everything now shares it, the way it earns it. It isn't always fun. Where music and the conscious power of things like it, ceases, as the only grace at that only one true rainbow's end, sometimes with a sudden thud, like the reality was for the buffalo.

What's best about Omaha is their smooth rolling streets 😂
You must be downtown where the streets are smooth been there's pot holes everywhere else the make sure downtown's streets have the street cleaner. But no other part of the city sees the cleanings truck. Omaha is nothing but new apartments which a normal person can not afford and new parking lots. Nothing but crooked people the governor and mayor and the rest of them they are rotten to the core. But they need to remember God sees,hears everything. And what you do in the dark will come to the light God makes sure of that

I'm doing research on Omaha. From the videos I've seen it seems to be a real nice place to live. I would like to know how diverse is this city? And what areas are bad and what areas are good and safe for families of color? I'm very interested in moving here soon.
Omaha is a segregated city, like a lot of other cities. Western Omaha is the safer and newer part of Omaha. The areas with crime are mainly northeast (North Omaha) and South Omaha; but I’ve also heard good things about these communities (South Omaha is more blue-collar and lot of families, and great Mexican food, Benson also has good restaurants and bars). Good homes in Omaha will be around 350k in Western Omaha, but you can find deals around the city for 250k-300k and still get a good home.
The suburbs are family-friendly. Gretna is a nice town of around 5,000 people (starting to get pricey, homes getting to be 400k) with a lot of amenities for the community (shocking how much they have for still being more of a town), Bellevue is a decent larger suburb (60,000 people) and relatively affordable (home prices around 280k-330k) and Papillion is a nice suburb but it’s expensive.
Sigh. I have no idea how you got in and out of town without us hooking up. I would have shown you some of the lesser-known landmarks that are good for filming. Oh... and taken you and the family out to a fantastic dinner.
Hope you are back home the 3rd week of September. The lady fox and I are planning on being in Chicago for about 5 days.
We were so exhausted after driving a straight shot from Boise ID with a little stop at Salt Lake City. Only thing We've done is a little nap at the hotel and of course I couldn't give up a drone shots. Since Our hotel was in downtown I was able to jump of the hotel between those naps and I took 200shots of the City during different times of the day :) That was the last stop of Our stunning trip to North-West coast

Compared to what? I’ve seen the country coast to coast, big cities are shitholes , NY and California SUCK! Florida is losing it’s appeal. 4 distinct seasons and voted best place to live over and over.

Those places are the global destination for people who visit America from across the world, no Omaha. People don’t think of the US and think, Omaha, Nebraska. Just no.

why its deceiving? And what would you like to see filmed on the south, west etc?
Because that's the run down part of town. Lot's of history in those parts but it looks bad. I grew up and have lived on the North side for 20 years now.
