- Over the past 5 months I've been keeping a note in my phone with all of the things that ACTUALLY helped us transition from having 1 to 2 kids - specifically 2 under 2. I hope that what was helpful in my experience can help you second time mamas, too! The adjustment can be a challenge for sure but you're also about to experience double the joy! ❤️

Just found out I’m 2 months pregnant and my first baby just turned 1, I feel like a horrible person because I’m having a hard time accepting it and feeling happy about this unexpected pregnancy. I’m mainly sad because I really wanted more time to enjoy my daughter for a few more years. Trying to change my mindset and think that this is my “raising babies” era and just go ahead and knock out the baby stage all at once, watching these videos to feel a little more optimistic. 🥺
I totally get how you feel! I'm due with my second in about 2 months now and it has me overwhelmed at times :( You've got this though!!! I try and remember the women who have had kids for hundreds of years with less resources, and they made it. You can too ❤
I also saw a video that said if you have a newborn and it is is crying, tell your newborn "Mom will be right there, right now I am helping your brother or sister." it helps because your toddler will feel that they are validated and that their time is also important to both parent and new sibling. And I felt that was so important!

This was SO helpful. I found out at 8 months postpartum I’m pregnant with our second and I’ve been such a mix of emotions! Hearing your experiences and the joy their bond brings makes me confident in God’s timing and the precious gift of life ❤️

Just found out I'm pregnant with baby #2 at 9 months postpartum unexpectedly and I've been having a hard time accepting it. We weren't ready for this and I'm already grieving my one-on-one time with my only child!!! 😭 Each day I'm slowly growing more ok with the thought of it
Oh my gosh you have to go back and watch my other videos!! I found out at 6 months pp and felt the same way - was so nervous about the transition but it was honestly amazing and we can’t imagine life without our 2nd! 🤍

That's also amazing that your kids are 15 months apart. Ours were supposed to be 15 months apart but ended up being 14 months apart ❤
I literally have been so stressed because of this.. what a coincidence you made this video! I have a 1 year old son and another baby boy due in July.. we have no family around and I’m terrified if we’re being honest. It’s been hard to get into a routine and hard to have any alone time! So excited for you!! 🥰 you can do this. We don’t have family close by either and I felt the same way. It will take some time to get into a routine - I didn’t feel like we even found ours until like 3.5 months in, but that’s totally fine. Take it one day at a time and give yourself (and the kiddos) lots of grace while you adjust. Especially the first 3 weeks. You have so much goodness around the corner!! 😍

Wonderful wonderful tips, thank you so much. I am five months pregnant with our second baby and our girls will be 18 months apart. It is so helpful hearing how other parents manage the transition. The little clip of your daughter meeting your son was so sweet! It's such a good reminder for me to focus on the love my kids get to share instead of my anxiety about having two small children.

I’m a big fan of ‘yes zones’! Very effective. Kids get to enjoy more open ended play time without being interrupted constantly & being told No repeatedly.

Thank you so much! I couldn't help but cry when you began discussing introduction to your first and the initial adjustment for them. My babies will be 14 months apart and I'm just beginning to really look into how to prepare socially and emotionally. I'm sooo excited more than anything. It's becoming more and more bittersweet, we are 2.5 months away.

Thank you so much for making this video I learned so much just by watching this one, my toddler is one of those kids who is very impatient and didn't know what to do when my daughter arrived he wouldn't want to hold her and didn't know how to be gentle with her and didn't know how to teach him the opposite

Your video is so extra helpful to me especially because the age gap between your kids is almost identical to the gap we will have here. Baby #1 turns 1 in July and baby #2 is due end of August. Going to soak in every minute with my son but looking forward to adding our new baby to the family!
Something I'd do with my oldest is include her in caring for her brother. She loved helping me get his diaper and wipe, throw away dirty diapers, make silly faces during tummy time, etc. Now, she loves helping him when I'm busy and he is crying by grabbing him a toy or blanket or trying to make him laugh.
I also started talking to her in first then sentences. I did this with everything she'd want to do even if it had nothing to do with me doing something with her brother. This made everything else just seem to have an order of what to expect. In times that the order wasn't important, I'd put her thing first so it wasn't always her waiting for him. Like before leaving somewhere I'd say first I'll change your diaper and then you can help me change brother's diaper.
My older sister had her baby back in October he’s 5 months already and I’m going to be induce in 3 days from now. It’s crazy we going to have 2 babies just 5 months afar in under one roof

I had a two under one .. after two months of giving birth I get pregnant again .. now after 1 year and 3 months of the second birth i can say it’s too hard but not impossible ❤
