I’m so pregnant that this entire video made me cry. You talk about this transition in such a beautiful way. This video changed my mindset from scared to excited.
I also saw a video that said if you have a newborn and it is is crying, tell your newborn "Mom will be right there, right now I am helping your brother or sister." it helps because your toddler will feel that they are validated and that their time is also important to both parent and new sibling. And I felt that was so important!
This was SO helpful. I found out at 8 months postpartum I’m pregnant with our second and I’ve been such a mix of emotions! Hearing your experiences and the joy their bond brings makes me confident in God’s timing and the precious gift of life ❤️
Thank you so much! I couldn't help but cry when you began discussing introduction to your first and the initial adjustment for them. My babies will be 14 months apart and I'm just beginning to really look into how to prepare socially and emotionally. I'm sooo excited more than anything. It's becoming more and more bittersweet, we are 2.5 months away.
Wonderful wonderful tips, thank you so much. I am five months pregnant with our second baby and our girls will be 18 months apart. It is so helpful hearing how other parents manage the transition. The little clip of your daughter meeting your son was so sweet! It's such a good reminder for me to focus on the love my kids get to share instead of my anxiety about having two small children.
Just found out I’m 2 months pregnant and my first baby just turned 1, I feel like a horrible person because I’m having a hard time accepting it and feeling happy about this unexpected pregnancy. I’m mainly sad because I really wanted more time to enjoy my daughter for a few more years. Trying to change my mindset and think that this is my “raising babies” era and just go ahead and knock out the baby stage all at once, watching these videos to feel a little more optimistic. 🥺
I totally get how you feel! I'm due with my second in about 2 months now and it has me overwhelmed at times :( You've got this though!!! I try and remember the women who have had kids for hundreds of years with less resources, and they made it. You can too ❤
Mine will be 18 months apart when I have baby in Jan. I still don’t feel connected to my pregnancy like I did with my first even at ultrasounds. It’s okay to feel the way you do and totally normal. We will get through it!
I literally have been so stressed because of this.. what a coincidence you made this video! I have a 1 year old son and another baby boy due in July.. we have no family around and I’m terrified if we’re being honest. It’s been hard to get into a routine and hard to have any alone time! I can’t wait to see what tips you have. Thank you for readying my mind!
So excited for you!! 🥰 you can do this. We don’t have family close by either and I felt the same way. It will take some time to get into a routine - I didn’t feel like we even found ours until like 3.5 months in, but that’s totally fine. Take it one day at a time and give yourself (and the kiddos) lots of grace while you adjust. Especially the first 3 weeks. You have so much goodness around the corner!! 😍
I’m a big fan of ‘yes zones’! Very effective. Kids get to enjoy more open ended play time without being interrupted constantly & being told No repeatedly.
I wish i found this video 9 months ago 😅. I have 2 under 2... well now one of them is 2 years old. It's a tough life. That's also amazing that your kids are 15 months apart. Ours were supposed to be 15 months apart but ended up being 14 months apart ❤
Just found out I'm pregnant with baby #2 at 9 months postpartum unexpectedly and I've been having a hard time accepting it. We weren't ready for this and I'm already grieving my one-on-one time with my only child!!! 😭 Each day I'm slowly growing more ok with the thought of it
Oh my gosh you have to go back and watch my other videos!! I found out at 6 months pp and felt the same way - was so nervous about the transition but it was honestly amazing and we can’t imagine life without our 2nd! 🤍
@@BethGraceMoore thank you for the encouragement at the end of this video. Brought me to tears. I lost my mom at age 15 so I feel like I'm doing a lot of this alone and don't hear that encouragement enough.
Great video! I have been parenting for 17 years, and we are expecting our sixth child. Even though I have tons of experience, I absolutely love your videos. I think this one is especially full of wisdom! I agree with it all!
Saving this video to rewatch whenever #2 comes along. Thanks for showing motherhood in an encouraging and positive light! The internet is full of “just you wait” horror stories so your channel is refreshing!
giving birth to the second baby next week. the advice in this video are amazing! going to re-watch in a couple of weeks to refresh my memory! thank you!
Thank you so much for making this video I learned so much just by watching this one, my toddler is one of those kids who is very impatient and didn't know what to do when my daughter arrived he wouldn't want to hold her and didn't know how to be gentle with her and didn't know how to teach him the opposite
OMG i just found out im pregnant with our second, 6 months PP......this was not planned and it was definitely a shock. This would be a great video to watch.
Always enjoy your sweet videos and your lovely family ! God Bless ! Also oh my your hair is so beautiful! I was distracted thinking how lucky you are lol ! Have a wonderful day ! 💗
Your video is so extra helpful to me especially because the age gap between your kids is almost identical to the gap we will have here. Baby #1 turns 1 in July and baby #2 is due end of August. Going to soak in every minute with my son but looking forward to adding our new baby to the family!
I follow both you and Megan and am so excited for this collab! You two are my favorite content creators. I love how positive and real you are and appreciate your openness on this topic! 😊
My older sister had her baby back in October he’s 5 months already and I’m going to be induce in 3 days from now. It’s crazy we going to have 2 babies just 5 months afar in under one roof
About to transition from 1 to 2 myself! My daughter is almost 14 months old, and I'm due in November! How did you feel about transitioning from a girl mom to a mom of both a girl and a boy?!
Something I'd do with my oldest is include her in caring for her brother. She loved helping me get his diaper and wipe, throw away dirty diapers, make silly faces during tummy time, etc. Now, she loves helping him when I'm busy and he is crying by grabbing him a toy or blanket or trying to make him laugh. I also started talking to her in first then sentences. I did this with everything she'd want to do even if it had nothing to do with me doing something with her brother. This made everything else just seem to have an order of what to expect. In times that the order wasn't important, I'd put her thing first so it wasn't always her waiting for him. Like before leaving somewhere I'd say first I'll change your diaper and then you can help me change brother's diaper.
I had a two under one .. after two months of giving birth I get pregnant again .. now after 1 year and 3 months of the second birth i can say it’s too hard but not impossible ❤
2 under 2 sounds like a nightmare to me! I don't know how you can do it! I'm planning to have my second only once the first one is off to kindergarten.

Baby girl number 2, due May 19th! 💖
I have a 3 year old girl and I'm expecting a boy due in September
My 2nd is due in October! My daughter will be 19 months old. Thank you for sharing your experience!! Your birth vlog is amazing and so inspirational!!
Due in September. Mine will be 14 months apart so this video was very helpful! ❤
I’m so pregnant that this entire video made me cry. You talk about this transition in such a beautiful way. This video changed my mindset from scared to excited.
I’m not pregnant and it made me cry too. This is so sweet.
me too😭😭when she started talking abt telling your toddler how much you love them and are proud of them i started balling
I'm pregnant of my second and I cried too. Imagining the meeting of my children made me emotional.
I also saw a video that said if you have a newborn and it is is crying, tell your newborn "Mom will be right there, right now I am helping your brother or sister." it helps because your toddler will feel that they are validated and that their time is also important to both parent and new sibling. Ahh this is helpful!!
As a dad, being told at the end of the video that I’m a good mum felt like a big compliment 😂
❤

Oh wow, that is the highest compliment haha! Thank you so much. Baby #6 - you are blessed!! So excited for you. ❤️
You are so emotionally intelligent. Love all of these tips & will utilize them whenever we decide to have baby number 2 ❤
That's a thing right there: emotional intelligence is something that's becoming a lost art

Had to look up this topic because 11 weeks along with an almost 8 month old 😅. Thank you for making this video! 🥰
Here from Megan's video! This is all so true. My son was born right before my daughter turned 2.
Came from Megan’s video ❤️
20 weeks tomorrow with my 2nd baby. My 1st will be 9 months tomorrow. Oh boy to that 2 under 2 life.
Thank you for this video! Expecting baby #2 in 2 weeks and such great tips for my toddler ❤
I have 2 under 2 and I can agree with all your tipps, they worked for us, too!

I am very very early pregnancy and this made me tear up. I hope this little one is sticky. My 1 year old tomorrow would be a FANTASTIC big bro🥰🩵
Super helpful tips!!! ❤
Agreeed over time I made my entire house a yes zone. Except the office room
Great advice I have a daughter who's baby brother due date is her 2nd birthday waiting to see what day he will be born in August.
how did you guys do the sleeping situation? did you purchase another crib or transition your oldest to a toddler bed?
Expecting my second this Sept, my babes will be 19 months apart!
Mines too
Hi! What baby doll did your daughter use?
4 months pp and very unintentionally pregnant and terrified 😬
I had a two under one .. after two months of giving birth I get pregnant again .. now after 1 year and 3 months of the second birth i can say it’s too hard but not impossible ❤
2 under 2 sounds like a nightmare to me! I don't know how you can do it! I'm planning to have my second only once the first one is off to kindergarten.
I love your hair! How did you do it?
thanks for sharing❤
My toddler doesn’t want to help. She says no! She gets jealous and didn’t have a good reaction to meeting her brother.
