- On Thursday, October 20 at 10:50 a.m. ET, SpaceX launched 54 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.
This was the tenth launch and landing for this Falcon 9 first stage booster, which previously launched GPS III Space Vehicle 04, GPS III Space Vehicle 05, Inspiration4, Ax-1, Nilesat 301, and now five Starlink missions. - Наука та технологія
Who else just love those rocket landings ??
Right here. Still cannot believe the precision.
Love it every time!❤🚀
Absolutely brilliant Falcon 9 returns home again and again.👍🚀🚀🚀👍
So boring :D
I miss the good ol' fireworks 🙂
In a world where so many things are broken every SpaceX launch is a breath of fresh air - to see that technical mastery and flawless execution is possible.
They even have the cameras working so much better.
Sadly Elon Musk is now refusing to support Ukraine with starlink during their struggles…. because of Twitter drama. At least until the US foots the bill for it. So even the Starlink launches aren’t as pure and wholesome as they seem :/
@@areoladan5580 that's not true actually. The same day he confirmed that Spacex would continue to fund Ukraine's Starlink indefinitely. 100 million dollars so far and counting. Search for the tweet.
There's zero reason why the US government can't pay for it whilst it wages proxy war with Russia.
@@areoladan5580 The Ukraine along with Nato is the aggressor that should come to the peace negotiations table, yet they want to keep begging for money to try to hurt the eastern Ukraine and Russians.
@@xJRx7777 that’s great to hear, thanks for clarifying
It never gets old seeing the stage landing on a drone ship.
The reliability of these machines is just mind-boggling. Go SpaceX!
40 landings in less than 42 weeks. 🤯The SpaceX workhorse just keeps going and going and going.
48 landings!
Yeah Billy. Like the Energize battery bunny.
It's just as awesome every time I watch it land on the drone ship. Well done Space-X
Even more awesome RTLS. Shame there's not more missions with enough fuel to go right back.
@@jimurrata6785 aren't those just falcon heavy?
@@dukeboy-6645 Falcon heavy did manage a twin RTLS, but it's really about if the 1st stage has enough fuel left to get back.
All these Starlink launches are about getting as many satellites on the bus and into orbit as SpaceX can. (to fulfill their FCC commitment)
I'm sure if they had the Delta-V left it would be a lot cheaper to not use the barges.
@@dukeboy-6645 No, they do it with Falcon 9 also, when fuel permits.
20 story building, crazy to know it’s that tall😃👍 It’s take off and landing are always cool to watch. But seeing that rocket land back on the landing pad….backwards…..it’s is impressive😉 And the touchdown appears to
be so gentle 🙂
They have really improved the interference on the landing videos. Amazing to watch!
Beautiful landing, Falcon stage one and Starship on booster.🚀🚀🚀✨
never take it for granted...just amazing.
I see landing on the Moon and Mars as truly within going to routinely happen. What a already fantastic achievement
I think the thing I like best about these missions is it's gotten to the point of "Oh, another one?" Like it's no big deal anymore... SpaceX has truly done wonders in making a rare and spectacular event into a routine occurence... And that's truly amazing to see in my lifetime.
Got my Starlink two weeks ago and now can watch all video presentations from various content makers. Starlink is the Best.
I thought that first stage was going a little too fast for how close it was to the ship, but, SpaceX team nailed, as usual.
Good job Team SpaceX!!!!
It all seems so routine now, but let's not forget that the reliability of this order requires meticulous quality control. Well done, SpaceX !
I have Starlink service and I applaud every time more satellites are launched.
Фантастика, не перестаю удивляться👍👏👏👏
Wow this never gets old.
Liftoff 8:20
Landing at 17:05 You welcome
Thank you!
I got an ad 1 second before launch after watching from the start
Bro does no one see the ufo's?
It ALWAYS blows me away just how dialed in it is and the engineering to make those boosters land. I swear I am going to quit my engineering job for Corning Inc. and come work for SpaceX someday. I love it.
put apps in. There's A LOT of positions and their growth is guarenteed. I have a few pending. Hope to cya there! Im shooting for Starbase
The landing control strategy is called a multi dimensional, stabilized state space optimal 'trajectory'.
Meaning 6 dimensions :
altitude
side position, with respect to the barge, under actuated
longitudinal position also under actuated.
roll angle
pitch angle to vertical
yaw angle to vertical
State space means the combination of velocity to position error for every of the six degrees of freedom
Example velocity vs altitude, goal is to end with zero at the same time.
From some altitude the optimum, least fuel use is to decelerate uniformly at constant thrust, along a desired profile, which is parabolic in velocity and linear in altitude
h = V²/(2 decel rate )
stabilized means that if the desired position-velocity is not followed it is corrected with a closed loop feedback contoller: say the velocty is too high for the altitude (which is measured, by radar or lidar) additional thrust is produced to reduce it to the nominal and vice verse, if the velocity ( measured by doppler radar or the equivalent reflected laser light phase shift), is too low, the engines are throttled ever so little as commanded by the feedback control law,
This is achieved by a so called least quadratic error regulator ( LQR)
This whole process is taught at MIT by Russ Kendrake. It works every time.
To understand it, it takes a little time and an elementary course in control system design.
@@arturoeugster7228 Absolutely love this explanation this gives quite a bit more insight
@@arturoeugster7228 explain to me like I'm 5. 🤔
It’s become standard now for the boosters just to land on the barge
So amazing to watch ❤
Only if you are spaceX. Bezo’sTravel have yet to do anything close.
@@xorcst very true my friend
Another flawless launch. Great job SpaceX!!! This never gets old!
SpaceX nailed the landing video.....SPECTACULAR wow......Im impressed
My kit should be here within the week, looking forward to the fastest speeds I've ever had, currently im getting 1.5 - 5Mbps and 120-246ping.
Much love from the uk 🇬🇧
The landing of first stage was beautiful! Love the full shot of it honing in on the drone ship and landing. Spacex makes this look easy!
The bird at T+20 seconds was sure impressed.
Or whatever that was! Are birds real? 🤔😉✌🏼
Wasn't that cool?
Almost looks like it was standing still so it was in a headwind or riding the shockwave of falcon 9 lol
It was about 20 miles away from the launch judging from the birds' reaction delay so I am sure it was not hurt. The telephoto lens on the camera really compresses the apparent distance. Glad you enjoyed it.
AWESOME landings as usual - pinpoint accuracy - GO MUSK - GO SpaceX... to the MOON, MARS and BEYOND :)
Amazing to watch every time. Excellent tech.
Perfect commentary! No annoying voice. A calm quite voice that didn't speak much. Just at the right time. More of this
This never gets old!! Amazing footage!!! Thank you for sharing and all that you do SpaceX!!!!
I saw this in person today
Nice!
Well done. I feel like a happy dad. I saw you born, grow, and fly. You rock. Thanks for making me happy.
8:50 Love how the pigeon waited
Awesome as always
Awesome event again as I watched from my North Carolina Porch. This time the first Booster was released before it got to NC. But on previous shots, I could see the event from my porch. Awesome each time, today made better by what looked like 2 South bound bombers with the second bomber made you realize the the Falcon was much higher as it disappeared for a moment behind the Bomber which was probably 2 or 300 miles away from each other.
Everyday is a Military exhibition at my place in Hampstead. We also frequently keep up with the International Space Station.
Life is better without the unkept trees in my front yard.
This falcon 9 rocket landing will continue to look insane until the super heavy rocket landing becomes a reality
The impeccable landing though
Good to see at 8:47 that the local birdlife is now so used to these noisy events that they just continue on with their business.
I was just going to ask about that. 👍 Bird, be like, "Wait, wut?"

@@UnboxingTVofficial Thanks! Fixed it :) those things just keep slipping out of my fingers :)
@@jo-han no problem 😄
what a beautiful day and landing! go go SpaceX!
Fantastic effortless again for them Merlin engines!..Great work Space X
The regularity of this happening is unbelievable
Automatic at this point. Props to Elon and the spaceX team
Back in Dec of last year Elon said SpaceX was aiming for one launch per week this year. It's week 42 and this was the 48th launch, so they're well ahead of schedule! Elon said next year their aiming for 100 launches. I'm sure they'll beat two launches per week on average.
They're approaching the regularity of cargo airlines, if not the quantity (yet).
8:48 Falcon, & falcon.
A falcon with the wingspan of a Falcon 9 rocket? It would have to be miles closer to the camera than the rocket.
Love those 1st stage landings...👍👍👍
17:27 "Acquisition of signal, Finland." 🇫🇮😎✌🏼
A spectacular achievement every time one lands. Hats off to the engineers that make it.
Never. Gets. Old. Congratulations SpaceX.
Fabulous commentary. Less is so much more! Really excellent programme today Space X.
Awesome! It never gets old!
that was such a great landing shot! Well done - again!
It doesn't get old. What got old is me: I never in all my years envisioned orbital class rocket-powered landings, recovery, and rapid reuse. Amazing times.
They make it look so easy at this point . Space X is amazing . I Can’t wait to see the next level .
My new goal is to get everyone I know watching these. Can't believe they aren't, great mood improvers
Never get old!! ❤️ SpaceX
Congrats !
Thank you SpaceX ace team!
Never gets old!
I have been watching the video, I'm so excited.
A beautiful day for launch. ⛅️
I totally enjoyed watching this launch. :)
Another clean, successful, and professional launch. Well done SpaceX!
fantastic. well done....
I love watching Starlink missions on my Starlink internet.
Fascinating that you can hear that plume burning until around 60km when the atmosphere really thins out.
Shout out to the legend who creats these tunes
Thanks for giving humanity a hope in spaceflight its fascinating to see this brilliant comapny reaching the stars and its getting nearer and naerer to the first flight with starship Im so unbeliveable thankfull for knwoing there is a vision with such launches ins such a cadence
This is simply amazing!!!
The next Falcon Heavy will land two boosters simultaneously ( the 3rd will be expended because of extra fuel for higher orbital insert.). Two landings is always better.😁
Just watched the satellites pass overhead at dusk in Louisiana. Cool site!
this never gets old :D ... RESPECT EVERY TIME SPACEX
the starting intro is so cool also i like Flacon-9 :)
If you get tired of seeing this you need to achieve bigger things in life.
Just amazing... Another Falcon 9 launch and at the same time they fully stack S24 and Booster7 at Starbase again? I didn't know where to look!
Dead center. Just outstanding! It never gets old.
just 50 years ago this was impossible, now we see it couple times a month, great work and hope I can help one day
Should have been possible 25 years ago, but sadly it did not. There been a wealth of technology piling up over the decades that the Bean counters in control avoided. Elon is just taking advantage of their risk aversion syndrome. Unfortunately nuclear energy seems stuck in there own groundhog day, if it don't have uranium an unstable water, you can't have a fission reactor.
Hell, ten years ago this was impossible.
8:49 that bird's just like "ummm....excuse you!" 😂
This has to be the best rocket ever made
You guys make me proud to be an American!
I love how the sound of the 9 engines gradually fades away between 10:30 and 10:50 as the atmosphere thins to the point that the sound cannot carry to the microphone...
Makes me smile every time.
Thank you
NEVER GETS OLD
I don't miss a launch. Great job SpaceX.
Every time i see it land im in awe
Don't we just love the 2.5 minute intro
Amazing Launch congratulations SpaceX.
Thanks! 🙂👍
Just outstanding
Never fails to amaze and excite .. ;) Way to go SpaceX ... ;) PS, loved the Hawk at T17+ ... 😍
Always amazing
The 148th landing of booster rocket with 48 of those this year 2022 alone. Sad that no other orbital rockets are doing landings like these.
Yep even ULA's new Vulcan rocket is going to throw most of it away. Supposedly they're going to jettison the thrust structure and engines off the bottom of the rocket, tossing the rest of the first stage, and then recover them in midair under parachutes by snagging the chute with a helicopter... We'll see I guess. Still throwing 90% of the first stage away. Supposedly the engines and thrust structure are the "valuable parts" and throwing away the first stage tanks is no big deal... yeah that's what they said with shuttle, too, and the External Tank was still a ton of bucks tossed on every flight, which contributed to shuttle flights being so expensive and no cheaper than expendable rocket flights.
Bullseye landing yet again. Amazing work!
Perfect again.
Awsome view
Never gets old
Smooth operator !!!
Congratulations on a good flight
Well done.
Right in the center!
I get butterflies watching this.
awesome
