@PoorlyWrttenReviews BTTWB was a big shift for them IMO. This cover is too. Love their signature sound and like how they're now starting to incorporate it into to different styles of music. The potential is massive.
This band has help me growing my music taste all over the years . All their studio albums are incredible and iam so grateful to live in the same era as Mike and Ben, what incredible awesome dudes they are.
I love this song, I love Royal Blood, I'm obsessed omfg❤❤❤❤❤ I've been having a shit day, and seeing this just made it a hundred times better. They need to do more music in this style for sure. 🤯
@@Dave1507 It's not a money games reference, it's just how the original song starts, tho it's Hozier that sing that part in a falsetto in the original. "Eat Your Young" the title and the whole concept of the song is a reference to Jonathan Swift's "A Modest Proposal". Hozier did a genius lyrics explainer on it if you search on youtube.
bit of a pointless comment don’t you think? considering it’s hozier’s song i doubt Royal Blood came into this to make it ‘better’ than the original. Plus, they are 2 completely different artists with different sounds so you cant even compare them anyway 😂
My point is that Hozier's version suits better for what's required for the song. It's not about the artist, it's about the song, the context and the theme of the song. It's just my opinion. There's no wrong answers. So no, I do not think that my comment is pointless. As it is literally the point i'm making.
Your comment is a bit pointless isn’t it? They’re completely different artists with completely different styles. I don’t know why you felt the need to add that it’s not as good as Hozier and just left it as “very good” because it is very good imo, they did it their way and smashed it. People can’t seem to give a genuine compliment without having to backhand it with a put down.
I'd like to think so considereing it's HIS song. However that's what the Live Lounge is , giving artists the opportunity to cover a song with their own style.Bear that in mind next time before making comparisons.
@@EFP__98 Truly they did really well making it sound their own but on the other hand I didn't realize how much vocal range and power Hozier has to sing this whole song all the way through himself, with backup, but still his vocals very prominent.
Never in my life I wouldve thought that they would cover a Hozier song
They did Lana del rey, Pharrell Williams so :P
That bass tone: Mike Kerr, a genius of the craft!
I lack words to describe how amazing this is. Seriously, Royal Blood is on another level.
I'm with you on this one. I remember when there first album came out and feeling a breath of fresh rock when listening to it. Hooked ever since.
Absolutely incredible from these guys every time
Damn, Royal blood need to do songs in this style more often
Exactly, their sound is getting a bit stale, they need to do an arctic monkeys

I love Royal Blood and also Hozier.
This is perfection

I saw them in Belfast last October. Was lucky enough to catch Mike's guitar pick.
Mikes vocals are something else here 😻 would love this style on the next album 🫶🏻
These guys are unnaturally good at doing covers.
This is the best cover of this song that I have seen!

🎸🎸🎸
Back vocal muito bom.

Is that a "money games" reference from the background singers at the start?
nope that's how Hozier starts the intro
@@zelbernil3790 well?

My sister: Hozier is better than royal blood!
Me: Checkmate!
🤣
Abre espaço para o gospel também, nova banda de rock pop cristã Banda Atos2024, um forte abraço, Brasil.
Esto es lo más random que he visto en días
Hozier's lone cry and the grit that he brought to the song is unparalleled. Sorry, but for its Hozier all the way. No questions.
Exactly

I love both versions and both Hozier and Royal Blood. They're just doing a cover, not trying to claim ownership of the song.

Delicious 😋
Different. Almost as good as bens ass❤
I recommend you to not eat your youngs pl
Very good, Hozier's version is still better though.
You just can't top Hozier. But a good effort!

Dude it’s not a competition, if they pick this song is because they also love it , music isn’t a sport , it’s art.
I'd like to think so considereing it's HIS song. However that's what the Live Lounge is , giving artists the opportunity to cover a song with their own style.Bear that in mind next time before making comparisons.
They’re not trying to be better than Hozier are they?
A modest proposal?
yes, very astute
Leave it to Hozier... y'all do so much better than this!
It's a cover bro it's not meant to sound like the original
this sounds amazing what are you on about 😂
Don’t cry, is just a cover 🙄
go lie down

Learn to play a real guitar and he could be amazing instead of using the same effects every time.
He can play a guitar tho
