Please note that we no longer support Kaixuan kites. I am guessing you read my reply to Egbert below? We bought the Octopus second hand. I dealt with New Sky many years ago and the experience was good. I know of others who have made purchases from them and reported that their experiences were better than dealing with some of the more well known ones. At least these guys don't make out that they want to be your friend and suggest that you will get a better deal next time - that is unlikely to happen believe me! Always watch out for shipping charges, use Ali Bongo or Ali Express whenever possible - it doesn't cost anymore and your money is much safer and ALWAYS shop around for a better price - some of these guys sell the the same thing on the same site at different prices and some of them trade under pseudonyms with the same product. Having said all that I don't believe New Sky are as bad as the rest. Good luck and let me know how you get on. P.S. Don't forget this octopus needs a lifter kite and please make sure you use strong line and secure anchors - this stuff pulls! Please note that we no longer support Kaixuan kites.

Hello Egbert and thank you for you interest. As in my replies to questions below we don't know how long the kite is and keep forgetting to measure it. Most of our videos will have someone stood with the kite at some point and this is for the viewer to gauge the size of the kite. We would guess this one is at least 60 feet. In other videos we have recommended companies like Kaixuan. We no longer support or recommend these companies because the service and after sales is not of the standard we expect, especially after dealing with companies who sell very similar, if not the same or better, products at cheaper prices and don't charge for shipping either! We always prefer to use companies who will communicate and help you if you have problems with their products. Too many companies only have interest in you if they believe they can sell you something. The Octopus in the video, however, is made and sold by New Sky Kites; newskykites.com. We think it is the most realistic looking octopus in the kite market and far less expensive than other companies. Please be aware that this kite does need a lifter kite on a strong line. It can generate a lot of pull and needs a strong line properly anchored. Please mention us and our video if you make a purchase.

I wish I knew how long our octopus is. It doesn't get flown often but next time out I will try to measure it. Otherwise if you freeze frame when Marilyn is stood next to it and work out how many times her five foot three frame would be needed to reach the top?

Thanks for commenting and we are glad you like the kite. I don't mean to be facetious Cynthia but this kite is for serious and experienced flyers only! You'll need a lifter kite, 1000lb breaking strain line and a really good anchor. An experienced flyer would also know that you would be looking at four figures to do all that including the kite.

@@CloseEncounters Hi there, it is 20 metres in length and that's assuming it is not the 35 metre version that weighs 25Kg! ;-)
