Such amazing artistry! Craft in America is the best UA-cam has to offer!!!!
If I had to choose only one subscription to a series, this would be it. Joyful, awe-inspiring and informative.
It's a beautiful privilege to see all these amazing artisans create. Thank you so much for documenting these artists, their stories and sharing it for the world!
Years ago I was in Charleston, SC and had the opportunity to purchase a sweet grass basket from one of the ladies who had them for sale. I will always treasure the basket because it was handmade. Anything handmade is a treasure.

I’m enjoying this series so much.
I love how the child knows the importance of keeping the tradition with her own children one day.
Those baskets are lovely.
I love the Native American baskets too, how they tell a story.
I love the story of of the women. How they passed down then knowledge generation to generation. With the making of beautiful baskets. Remembering their people.
Your baskets are beautiful

OHMYGAWWD YESS!! THAT MAN IS THE TRUTH! I LOVE HIM! I WROTE HIS NAME DOWN FOR INSPIRATION!
Great series - love to hear from the artists
Great film Thank you.
You make really beautiful baskets. Very creative and a sense of humor too. 😁🗑️
I was once in a thrift store and noticed a basket that was beautiful to me and I could see it was not made at a factory. I grabbed it and the cashier said it was fifty cents. When I got home I noticed it had on the back a cloth label said that that it was handmade by Annabelle Ellis and members of her family in Charleston S.C. Years later I was told it was a sweet grass basket and probably worth over a hundred dollars. I wouldn't take a million for it.
You would, though 🙂
BEAUTIFUL! HOLD ON TO IT! IT WAS MADE BY PRECIOUS HANDS!!!
Watching these wonderful artists and crafters takes me away to another place in my mind and reminds me of what could have been if I worked a little harder and persued my own dream of making stained glass and crafting native art.
Too many broken dreams, but it's great to see those who were able to become great crafters.
This series is amazing!

Not taking away from William Morris, but, I know that the American craftsman had and always will be prevalent a strong mark of Americanism
If you visit or live in Southern California, visit the Sam Maloof house. They give tours. I had a wonderful time.

"I started making furniture a long time ago, but it never occurred to me that, really in
a way, that people make furniture, you know, I didn’t think anybody did this" = most European, White Male sentence ever
Use your "whole brain"!
The gift theme song is no gift! It's obnoxious! Get rid of it, please!
