Once I stopped and only focused on repairing my moisture barrier with Neutrogena hyaluronic acid perfume free face wash and moisturizer the stinging burning went away. Thick creams are reserved for only when I sleep otherwise my skin will react with humidity during daytime use.
Too bad I'm a broke high school student who can't afford these things T_T But I have to say I have incredibly sensitive skin so using a lot of products tend to irritate it. So all I use is a cleanser with salicylic acid, moisturizer, and aloe vera gel while also applying sunscreen regularly

7 layer method is actually supposed to be done with toner.. it originates in korea and if you were to actually put 7 layers of essence (which is like a watery serum but thicker than water) on your skin, it would be way too much. i used to do it with toner and even found that 2-3 layers was very sufficient and i have DRRRYYY skin like peely-type dry. this much essence would cost you way too much money and honestly wouldn't have much effect. i would suggest to try it with toner if you're interested in it because toner can actually absorb a LOT better than essence can, meaning drying times between layers will be shorter and it will actually penetrate into your skin... she looks glowy but that's because there's a beauty filter and too much product on her skin if she's doing 7 layers of essence. toner, toner, toner!

I LOVE essences! I started out with a sample to review about 8 years ago and have been using them ever since. They're so lightweight and most are really great for all skin types! You should check out the bee essence as well - so good!

Soak them overnight or at least 8-12 hours with no lid or covered top. Afterwards you can keep the container in the refrigerator and use the water on your skin and hair as a treatment. Also if you rinse your rice before cooking save that water for use and it's beneficial to plants as well.

The brand One Thing makes a galactomyces ferment filtrate that is, in my opinion, exactly the same as SK-II pitera essence and none of the nasty fragrances or addetives than many of the other dupes dump in. It's literally one thing and it's still kinda pricey but it's half the price of SK-II and less if you can get it on sale. Cosrx also makes a well priced dupe that is basically the same though I've been having trouble getting it in Australia. I relly hope it hasn't been discontinued cause it was really good.

You can use an essence every day if you want to, morning or night or both. You do still need to use a moisturiser to lock your skincare products in and to minimise epidermal waterloss. You can also use an eye cream on top. I hope this helps.

I am not sure if you are still interested, but there is a UA-camr named Alice down the rabbit hole that uses a lot of Korean and Japanese skin care (I have just begun to try the K/J lines as they are more budget friendly) and found her to be honest in her reviews and she has sensitive skin that is acne prone. You might want to visit her channel to see if you find her content helpful. I hope this helps.
For me it was a combination of needing to hydrate with an essence instead of layering heavier moisturizers on the skin, needing to double cleanse to ensure proper makeup removal, and as mine was subliminal acne, using a retinol 2-3x a week

Not too much like an eye cream Routine - that skin is delicate. If you pump 2-3 pumps for your face and neck you can pat it amongst those eye areas on what’s left on your hand and let it absorb into your skin for next step :)

I’m 17 with dehydrated skin and have a couple of fine lines on my forehead. You don’t have to be older to have fine lines caused by dryness or dehydration. It can even be simply genes. Wrinkles on the other hand are definitely not supposed to happen in your twenties, but that isn’t to say it can’t happen

The concept of the 7 layer method is that you use 7 layers of the same toner not one layer of 7 toners.

One of the girl actually said "eww" to me when she found out I use SK-II toner, she thought I was too high maintenance for her.
I prefer the budget friendly Hada Labo Premium Essence over the snail mucin. Much more hydrating.
