Do I need to have a tear-off on at all times? Even when riding on a dry trail? What if I don't? Will my lense scratch easily? Are the goggles designed to have one for protection at all times? Is my goggle lense not meant to be exposed ever?

Hi, thanks for watching our video. No you don't need a tearoff all the time, there are ideally meant for wet/muddy conditions when stuff will stick to your goggles and impair your view. The lenses are pretty durable and are designed to hold up against roost and debris hitting them. Sometimes if things hit hard enough or are sharp enough they may scratch the lens but it doesn't happen too often. If your lens does end up with a bunch of scratches that bother you you can get a replacement lens which is rather inexpensive compared to buying new goggles. Hope that helps.

On my first ride with my 100% Racecraft goggles I instaled a single tear-off for protection, but eventually it destroyed my mirror coating on my lens... The only thing that went on my goggles was puddle water... The tear-off rubbed on the lens and left a big spot in the mirror coating... Never seen this before...

Hello, sorry to hear that. That does seem weirs seeing as how many rider utilize tear offs as a form of protecting the lens from scratching. Was the lens completely clean before you installed the tear offs and were the tear offs properly installed (tight against the lens)?

@@chaparralmotorsports Yes, it was clean, brand new actually. It's a weird situation... I went through a big pudle, got my goggles wet, at one point I gently tried to clean the exces water that was on the tear-off, but I thought that it will just dry up eventually, which it did. One hour later I removed the tear-off and saw the damage... But I don't really recall if the tear-off was tightly agains the lens, maybe there was something wrong with one of them, will try again just to see how it fits. Very strange overall, I don't know now if I will use tear-offs again, but I will try to ask around and try to find if anybody experienced this. Thanks for the response!! Cheers!

how do i not accidentally tear off every tear off that is on my lens, when trying to only take off one?

    • @chaparralmotorsports

Hi, it can happen the first couple times but as you get more accustomed to the setup you can figure out how to pull one off at a time.

Hello gazzy555 joker. While out on the track tearing it up... goggles can get dirty and you vision can become impaired. Tear Offs collect the dirt, mud and water... one tear... and presto your field of vision is CLEAR. They work really well when needed. Thanks for watching! - Kyle & the Chap Moto Team

It’s for racing motocross, cause roost will hit your gogkles and you can’t see so you pull them off and you have clear vision

Can someone from Chaparral Motorsports tell me why it’s taking a month to process an order? Called and emailed several times with no answer or reply. Customer service is an absolute joke! It’s non existent. Not sure what to do since they already charged my credit card.
