I work in PR - that's super shitty and unprofessional of them. Embargoes are a critically important tool in our trade, but are only effective when the rules of engagement are clearly outlined and followed both by in-house brand folks and their agency partners. For them to demand you take down content deriving from a publicly accessible tradeshow is some Busch League BS. If you want to control the narrative that much, don't bother showcasing the product until launch, plain and simple. We aren't ALL that bad!

Great review. Additionally, seeing the dog was awesome. As always, Robbie had a good story at 17:50 that brought up comments from others. Megan's look at 18:07 and 18:11 was amazing, especially at 18:12 where she broke the 4th wall was priceless.

FWIW, I tried on various Asics shoes at the CIM Expo and saw that the current Nimbus was on sale. I loved the fit and comfort of it but realized a new model is coming soon. I was asking an Asics person some questions about drop for the women's version, weight, etc. He said he couldn’t tell me anything specific but he looked me in the eye and said “you’ll like it better” 😮

The On Cloudsurfer does have a speed board, if anyone cares. It's my favorite daily trainer.

Wasn't challenger more of a road to trail shoe? Which is why there's more stack for the road and some lugs for the trail...
I am not sure if Prime X2 Stung is really going to be beneficial for training. Hear me out. Here is my argument:
Sure, you might run 20-mile training run with this shoe possibly faster and having less fatigue, but will you be getting the proper training benefits and adaptations to your body? If you are running 20 miles in this shoe but only getting the training adaptations of, say 16 miles equivalent of a more conventional shoe, you might be just fooling yourself. So, when you drop down into less advanced shoe for racing within world athletics compliance, you will possibly suffer more fatigue during the race (and possibly fall short of goals) because you longer will have those extra assists of your training shoe in the race shoe. One can argue that OK, I am getting 16-mile equivalent, but I can run higher weekly total, sure that might be the case but only if you do have time to run more (elites or sub-elites). It probably will not apply to the rest of us.

If the technology is now to the point that we are describing shoes as a "spring" or "pogo stick", where will it end?? Are we swinging more to being technology dependant than physical ability??
This is why there’s barefoot shoes. I mostly use them for training and use super shoes for the marathon.

35:27 Hokas art packs and things they release WAY after original release are unmatched. I wait to cop hokas until much after they release for the killer packs they come up with. Best in the game for colorways, uppers (creel jacquard mesh), but not midsoles.
As an Adidas-Fanboy, I am soooo looking forward to the Strung 2, as I already love the first version. Were you able to try the Boston 12? The 11 actually works well for me, but the 12 looks even better.
And did they give you any info about release dates?

Listening to the pod right now.. and your TRE talk, reminds me of how ASR (action sports retailer), started to get in the late 90’s in.., when locals started to learn to game the system. Me being one those ppl.

The wide options have been getting better and better! There are a ton of great options out now.
