My RAV lease is up in February. If I switch my wife over to this, we'll have a Genesis, Santa Fe, and Elantra in the driveway thanks to your channel. 👍 The check is in the mail. Thanks for all that you put into these. Happy New Year.

Bought the 2.4 Ultimate about two months ago and absolutely love it. I actually look forward to driving it. Drives smooth, quiet and comfortable. It's not a speed demon but has plenty of power for me. Lots of room and nice features. Great sound system. So far averaging 26 MPG combined in LA Traffic so not too bad. Purchased after lots of research including viewing this and other video reviews. Couldn't be happier so far!
Hands down the best audio/video editing, cinematography and presentation of any car review channel on UA-cam. If Ridley Scott did car reviews, this is how they would look like.
@@NOFATCHICK1 but it's the truth. I'm not in the market for a new car. And while a car guy do not have the money to multiple cars. But the reviews are such works of art I still watch.
@@duanerackham9567 That's the point - exactly - I couldn't care less about the new "2019 Hyundai Santa Fe" - I'd never buy a Hyundai - but I find the reviews so well done that I watch some of them purely for the entertainment value.

The US makers are in trouble if they plan to just sell SUV's. The competition from Asia just gets better and better all the time. Chevy Traverse? Really?
US Auto makers? Bruh. This Hyundai Santa Fe is Made in the USA in Alabama. This Korean car is American as they get! I think US Auto Makers know their market.
Honestly I think you have the best dry humour out of all the car reviewers, you're the only one I find myself consistently laughing at. Plus your reviews are outstanding, very in depth and you bring up a ton of thing's other reviewers don't talk about. Keep up the great work. Happy New Year
As an owner of a 2020 I like the blue lights in the Santa Fe I find I’m able to see quite well at night with them and there’s plenty of them, in any case you do not use these lights very much if they are in issue to some people. When I first got into the Santa Fe I did not feel the entertainment screen looked cheap however it did appear more stuck on than the previous Santa Fe. But when it comes to use it is very functional and easy to see. I’ve been impressed by how quiet the vehicle is and the ride is very nice and smooth. I love the large amount of sub floor storage in the back. My biggest gripe about the vehicle is the lack of a V6 and can’t move rear seats forwards and backwards.
I love how instead of talking about lane keep, it's just shown in action. It's the little, but really huge things like this which makes this channel awesome to watch.
I bought the fully decked out version of this vehicle and I really like it. For me the interior lights in the vehicle have been a godsend actually. I am red green colorblind so I actually see much better with the lights as compared to your experience. Your video was one of the major turning points when I decided to buy this vehicle. I have gone back and looked at all of my choices again and keep coming back to this vehicle as the one I would want if I had to do it over again. Thanks for helping me with my automobile shopping sir
It seems that the Hyundai executives have watched savage geese videos. They have fixed some of the things he complained about. So I have a mental picture of several of them watching this video. They grin and give each other the thumbs up as he compliments the improvements, but they can’t help spitting out their beverage as they crack up as he tries to fasten the side window shade. This is one reason Mister Goose may be my favorite reviewer. Others provide good information too, but lack the entertainment value. So like I said before, I will even watch Mister Goose review something I have no interest in buying. Still waiting for my request of riding lawnmower. Or skateboard.
every single material of Mr Goose is worth watching. As a the UK resident I will never buy anything bigger than Santa Fe as I have no option to park it in front of my house. However I am watching every review to be familiar with new trends, tricks and gimmicks. These details are sometimes a go or no-go for a car. Thanks to @GarazOtwarty (or Marek Drives) I will never buy a SUV wihout a doors covering entire side of a car (as I am living on country-side I used to ruin my trousers by touching bottom side of my car). I really enjoy what StraightPipes guys are doing with coffe cup test, but for me is more important if I can put 0,5l thermos cup of coffee and STILL use an armrest. So yes.. information like if fake plastic-chrome like finish will blinds you during driving is extremely important, because sooner or later it may cost you a crash (just like 90deg windows in G wagen). Happy new year and stay safe Mr Goose
I don't think they're watching his videos... if Hyundai was, they wouldn't have taken the integrated-into-the-dash infoscreen from the 2018 model and did the "stick a tablet on the dash with glue" look in the 2019.
@@wolfshanze5980 I have the 2019 Santa Fe and the position of the screen is great for navigation, CarPlay etc and helps keep the driver's eyes on the road. The heads-up display is even better and helping keep your eyes on the road - I love that feature as it displays all the relevant driving info including GPS info, driver assist settings, cruise information etc. I think Hyundai did an excellent job putting all the controls and screens where the need to be for ease of use and safety.
SG, based upon my rental of a '19 Santa Fe, I have to disagree with your assessment of this SUV's ride - it was a strippo that we rented, but it definitely rode hard over some surfaces (and yes, I checked the tire pressure when the tire were cold to ensure they were at the manufacturer's recommended pressure). The higher level Santa Fes are known to ride even harder! You also didn't mention the start/stop system on the Santa Fe: the nicest thing we could say about it was that it was annoying, but at least there's a dash switch to switch it off. The headlights at night were almost as bad as a '18 Ford Edge, where it chops off the range significantly. I wasn't happy that I couldn't get the infotainment system w/GPS without having to buy that worthless vista roof (typical Kia Sorento marketing stunt). Now - two important GOOD things that you didn't point out, 1) For a contemporary SUV, the forward and even rear visibility was quite good, definitely better than so many SUVs and cars. 2) The interior space, size of the vehicle, and the ability to be able to safely maneuver it around in tight areas (ex, parking lots) were a real plus. It felt right in these areas, so to speak. I do agree that Hyundai made a big improvement over it's previous "Sport" model, and it wouldn't be difficult for Hyundai to make a few changes, and have a class leader.
I test drove this car. I liked it a lot, I had no complaints about it, and I thought it would probably end up being my first choice. Then I test drove the Mazda CX-5 and the Honda CR-V, and the way those cars drove gave me a compelling reason pick them over the Santa Fe. I still think the Santa Fe is a great deal for the money, and I would have picked it if I had a big family.
Hyundai, Genesis and Kia. Constantly getting better and even surpassing the competition. Thank you for focusing on the details at the beginning of the video. These details on the craftsmanship are overlooked in other car reviews. Well done!👍
This seems like a nice daily with the AWD and 2L turbo engine. Love the interior as well. Appreciate that Hyundai actually put effort into this product
This review is the reason I just purchased a 2020 Santa Fe SEL with convenience package (replaced Sel Plus). Thank you for your hard work putting up the best damn car reviews. Hilarious, honest and transparent content!
Anyone else think this is a really cool looking crossover? Good job, Hyundai! Killing it. Savagegeese, thank you for your incredible reviews and all that goes into them. Truly my favorite car reviewer (and many many others) because you're incredibly talented. I hope 2019 treats you magically. Happy new year!
The thing that bothers me about car reviewers is that they review every auto with a sports car as the basis of comparison. Most people looking at this prefer comfort over sportiness.
Joal Bio: I fully agree with you!! You continually hear phrases like: "it's sporty" or it's not sporty enough" or "I wish it had more sportiness," or the "steering isn't sporty enough." And all the reviewers in this SUV/Crossover segment want you to have the "Turbo" option if offered. Most people, in this category, just want a good, reliable everyday car, either as a family car or a daily commuter; they're not shopping for a track car to see how fast they can go. Your point is well taken.
Thanks for putting out the highest quality review videos on UA-cam. You actually understand pacing, editing, and scripting. Your average Demuro or Hoovie video could be cut down to 2-3 minutes and be fine. You actually know how to fill out a 15-20 minute show without a lot of useless yammering. Great stuff.
Impressive- Dad has owned Sante Fe's for the past 10 years and this is a step up...but let's call a spade a spade- these SUV's are just modern day station wagons. Love the channel and keep it up!
These guys are awesome and provide such professional reviews. I ended up buying two of these (all-wheel mid level model) and consider this car such a practical purchase. No thrills, reliable, easy to drive and inexpensive. My wife and I are going on our 3rd year with this SUV and while the Bluelink was problematic the rest of the car worked flawlessly.
The intro music was so beautiful. I almost didn't want the review to start because of how much I enjoyed it. I owned a 2018 awd version of this car and loved it, but this looks 10x better. It used the same 2.4 as this one, which usually felt like enough unless I was climbing mountain roads or trying to pass quickly. If I was gonna buy this I'd go with the turbo for sure.
Just bought a 2019 Santa Fe Limited 2.0T FWD after tons of research, test driving, and watching reviews online. My husband drives a 2013 Honda CRV and I was looking to replace a 2008 Honda Odyssey. I had never even considered a Hyundai until I started researching SUVs. The 2019 Santa Fe is the perfect size for our needs. The ride is comfortable, quiet and smooth. I liked your review because you actually acknowledged that most buyers of this SUV are not going to notice the imperfections like car afficiandos who review cars! The value compared to others is significant. I was able to buy a loaded SUV with every safety feature (plus some you forgot to mention, like the feature that alerts you if you left a person or pet in the back seat, and the feature that prevents a rear seat passenger from opening the door if approching traffic is detected) for much less than a CRV or RAV4. I am really happy I discovered Hyundai!
Gen McCardell it will definitely worth your hard earn money. I have 2014 Elantra. I never regretted to buy this car. Instead, I’m a happy owner. Take good car of it, it will take care of you. My next car would be Hyundai/Kia again.
@@bassplyr13 I am an average driver. I find that the vehicle has good pick up when I'm merging into the highway, passing, etc. My husband has a 2013 Honda CRV and I considered another CRV but didn't want a CVT transmission. I've had my vehicle about a month now and I find the safety features reassuring and the convenience of little things like a fuel door that unlocks when you unlock the car doors, a parking brake that disengages so you never forget and drive with it on.... I would say a lot of car reviewers are car connoisseurs who have driven high performance vehicles. I am very pleased so far....
Love my new Santa Fe. Ditched a Mercedes GLC43 and never been happier. Australian model comes with 2.2L diesel, third row seats and improved suspension tune.
This guy gives the best vehicle reviews on UA-cam, hands down. The quality, video angles, and his perspective on the vehicles has me watching videos about cars I have no interest in.
Love that they avoided the "digi-shifter" trend! It sounds like the Santa Fee does need the turbo-4 with AWD. Btw, the production value of your videos somehow keeps improving...wtf?...do you and Becka have an entire production team working in your dungeon?
Mike my family had a 2012 Chrysler 300 for about two years when they first came out. It was the first year of the 8 speed auto and the digital shifter. It was the absolute WORST shifter I’ve used. It’s so hard to go into reverse. It takes at least two attempts. I’ve driven a BMW and there’s is much better. But it’s still kinda weird. Mercedes has a good column shifter, but there’s a slight delay going from gear to gear.
I use digi-shifters often. I don`t expect a smooth experience, but in the mountains it comes in handy when going downhill or when I want to suddenly accelerate on the motorway - in Tokyo area it helps.
We just bought a new Ultimate 2.4L AWD. Drive both engines before you decide; we liked the more linear power delivery of the 2.4 than the "power-on / power-off" nature of the turbo. When that engine is on boost, it's very peppy; when it's off, it feels as though it's straining until it gets back on boost. By the by, we love our new one.
Just discovered your channel. Dude, I really enjoy your content and the way you deliver it in these reviews. No BS ...just straight to the point feedback. You even inject some deadpan humour in your reviews. I’ve become a big fan. Keep up the great work.
Keep doing exactly what you're doing, man. It's nice to have these reviews of normal vehicles that people are actually driving. Your presentation is excellent, as always.
Lol @ naked selfies and I have the same issue with the rear window privacy shades, you've gotta be a magician to get those on the first time. A+ content as usual from you guys
Totally agree. I bought the 2.0T ultimate also in Canada, and honestly, there are only some cons, but when I remember how much I'm paying per month if I compare with competitors or even with premium brands with similar toys but without premium badge, I think Hyundai did their homework, putting the things at the right price. 2 years back, I would not even give a chance to drive or buy a Hyundai. I did lot of reseach prior to put the signature down last August, and based on the information given by Savage Geese I took the decision, even prior August 2018 and have any review available for NA. I trusted Australian reviews on this vehicle, where this puppy was available before than Canada. Things to complain, or actually to improve for Hyundai?, The engine is a little thirsty, but at least they are not lying about the km in per liter. (My old beloved 2015 GTI said 40km to the end of the tank, and 5 km after it was stating 20km were remaining). On the other hand, change of oil every 6000 km while in my old VW I had only to come to the dealer every 15K or 16K. I don't know why Hyundai doesn't use synthetic oils on their engines. At the end we are paying for them ? I prefer just one visit in a year than 2 or more in the same period of time Things more related to usability : The same sensor is used to lock or open the doors, so you are not totally sure if you car is open or closed when you're leaving. Additionally, I need to let all the passengers doors to be closed prior to be able to have the vehicle locked, which is annoying, because you need to come back always to the door after helping others to get out, to be able to lock the car. The automatic trunk opening thing opens the door after four seconds. It happens to me this puppy sleeps in a normal garage and every time i go around the car, even for other reason different than to start the car, I need to do it in a period of time shorter than 4 seconds otherwise trunk door will open and hit the garage door or myself, so I always need to let the car unlocked overnight to avoid anyone with keys in the pocket going around the vehicle to prevent such unintentional trunk opening. The 4 seconds should always start to count when you stand right in front of your trunk but not from the rear sides near the wheels The GPS is totally usefulness to find any chain of grocery and stores here in Quebec. All the available in the GPS seem to be US related . Where is my 120 power outlet I do see in the ultimate in Australia, Russia and US? Sometimes, for work I need to connect my laptop, and I was hoping to find it similar to other latitudes Even all these cons I have found, probably I'm so picky, I love several features like the HID and the Active LKA, Front and Rear lights. I find this to be a really good vehicle. I'm glad i did and bought this Santa fe last year this car, being the first unit sold at the dealer, and it seems based on this entry, i'm glad it seems i did a good choice.
This review helped me make my choice today. I'll pick up my car in a few days. Thank you for the effort you do in your videos... as others have said, high quality cinema work here. I love it. Thank you!
Want to lease this or buy turbo awd but concerned about turbo lag. Seems in videos like a good 2 second lag before launch and that could be deadly. Some reviewers have called it just this in Hyundai forums. Is there a modification you could suggest for the turbo? Otherwise, 185 hp seems insufficient for 3900 lb AWD, no?
My mom has this car and oh my God the turbo lag is bad like I was still learning how to drive and trying to pull out and take a left quickly as a car was coming and I hit the gas and nothing happened for like 3 seconds then the car took off and almost got me T-boned was a very scary experience and I didn't know what turbo lag was at the time
My coworker just bought one of these. Fully loaded turbo model. It is damn nice. I remember just 5 or so years ago, Hyundai was the butt of every joke. Now I won't drive anything other than Hyundai. Happy New Year everyone!!!
Most important facts .........Having owned 75 brand new vehicles,,,,,,,the '19 Sante Fe hits way above its price point! The $25,000 msrp BASE model has dynamic cruise control, lane assist, collision mitigation, ...and features only found in others in there top trims!!!! I was so impressed by the quietness, ride, and other features that were as good as our $45,000 BMW X3 !!! And don't forget the 5 year bumper to bumper warranty...better than almost everybody elses!!!
Agree, I got one of these back in August, the Ultimate 2.4L. I got the extended warranty for $2,200 which is 5 more years of bumper to bumper. I plan on driving the wheels off this thing, it’s great.
I just road tested the 2020 SF 2.0turbo, Limited FWD. I’m looking to update from my 2007 SF Limited Ultra AWD I bought new. It now has 207K miles on it, it’s time. Greatest most comfortable, dependable and easy to drive car I’ve ever had. That includes ‘50’s through the 2000’s new Cadies, Old’s, Pontiacs, and my 2012 ML350 Bluetech. (What is it about German electronics complexity and totally incomprehensible controls?) I LOVE the diesel, the seat comfort, towing ability and highway cruising, but not much else! The SF turbo is very similar to my old one, just new yet comforting. They do a great job. It definitely is not an after thought vehicle.
I'm going to be looking at this and the Kia Sorento later this year. TBH, 8 years ago or so I never would have thought to look at either, but today, I am really liking their style and design.
How does this rate for longevity? I have a CRV that is about 10 years old. I'm looking for something bigger that I can keep for another 10, but don't really need 3 rows. I'm considering the Santa Fe, Sorento, Highlander, Pilot, etc..
Hyundai is swinging for the fences one generation at a time. I keep saying 10 years from now they will begin to outsell Honda and Toyota on certain models, it should be a fun future to look forward to when it comes to the Hyundai name.
Haha dude I got this same model back in August... best car I’ve ever had and I still have a 2000 Hyundai Accent which I refer to as my tin can compared to this Santa Fe. Lord Hyundai used to make cheap cars but they have really come on the last few years. They’ll dominate soon enough and I’m originally a Chevy guy but couldn’t stand anything Chevy makes right now.
Ohh the interior light is so true from my personal experience, blue/white light makes me sleep, yellowish dim light i use while driving literally opens my eyes. It really helps me to beat heavy contrast of pitch black inside and bright lights from outside, reducing eye strain nicely
I realize this video is 2 years old, but I just wanted to say I agree almost 100% with your assessment of this vehicle. I briefly owned a 2020 Santa Fe 2.0T Limited FWD and loved the interior and cargo space. I thought they were amazing for this price point. But… I thought it drove terribly. I had so many close calls like you mentioned in the video that I had to get rid of it. The lack of traction and acceleration when turning from a stop was so unnerving that I had no confidence in the vehicle at the end. Had I gone with AWD it would have probably been a different story and I’d likely still own it.
I HATE that gauge cluster. Everything else seems pretty great as you were saying. Naked selfies and massagers... What happens in Santa Fe stays in Santa Fe. 😂
me and my wife leased this car a few weeks ago, simply amazing. the led interior lighting is a pretty pure white to me....i havent noticed a blue tint to it at all
Great review, just one thing I must say as a designer. The bezel around the screen is there for a purpose. There must be enough room for error with finger picking the buttons, between the screen and physical buttons, and it's great they made the bezel in the same finish so you instantly know which way to move your finger without looking too much while driving. Upper and lower bezel are pure cost reduction which is probably not a designer's decision.
I bought a Canadian version of it, the Luxury trim with leather seat. Here we do not have all the choice the US have and AWD is included in almost every trim except the base model. I have almost everything except head up display, 19 inch, top audio system and a slighly larger screen. I agree with this video. The 2.0L Turbo is fun too drive but it might not need it. I would probably have choosen the 2.4 L non-turbo if it was available for increased milleage. But i am still very happy with it. i just ended the break in period and i can say i really love this car and i am so glad i bought it. The AWD is really good. i had the time to test it in icy condition and i'm glad to have it. it is probably useless on dry weather most of the time if you aren't too agressive. I wanted to have a car with a lot of space, confortable for long drive as it will be it's primary use (i work from home so i do not need a commute car) and it do that job so well. It's the best car i bought to date and i agree so much that you feel that Huyndai care about the car. I initially shopped for others brands like Honda and Toyota but i found out that Huyndai had a very solid product at a very competitive price. I had to pay at least 10k more to get the same stuff in the japanese brand smaller SUV. That is a lot of money ...
I think this is the most positive review overall I've seen you give. Only thing close is maybe the 2002 WRX since it was nonsense free! Also, the Santa Fe does the Cherokee front end better than the Cherokee.
U-Savage...2 Months ago I purchased a 2019 Santa Fe SEL 2.4 model with all the standard factory features of which there are many.. I am super happy with everything about it, the interior, exterior and overall driving feel. wife and I have owned dozens of vehicles over the years and this one tops all.
You said it is comfortable to drive...what about the rear suspension and its ability to dampen the annoying road ruts? I have the 2017 SF and the rear suspension is horrible. Very little travel and it had a loud clunking sound when loaded up and go over ruts and poor road surfaces. Oh, what about rear captain chair rattles? Been a problem in the 2017 as well.
Just a suggestion, during the final thoughts segment, rotate the large screen 45 degrees to one side and stand on the other side so we can see you and the b roll.
So, I wasn't going to watch this until we got one as a rental. It was a 2.4 FWD model - pretty base I'm guessing. Was a pretty nice ride and we did a 6 hour drive in it. Nobody complained, but I didn't have a chance to test the sound system since our kid made us listen to Harry Potter audiobooks for the whole drive.... but I digress. I was pleasantly surprised. Got about 27MPG over the whole drive.
It's clear a lot of effort went into this car based on owner feedback. They really matched this well to the market buying these crossovers. This will probably one of the most reliable vehicles in its class, and definitely among the safest. They are going to sell a crap ton of these.
Have had my 2019 SEL 2.4 base model for 2 months now. Luv it, all you say is on the $$$ I have never regretted my choice, also I do really like the styling inside and out.I consider the SEL model a real bargain for under $26,000...Tremendous safety and driving features are included at no X-tra cost.
6:26 Why do so many infotainment screens put the BACK button in the top right corner, where the driver has to reach the furthest? My car is like this too.
Thanks for the video, great stuff as usual! I watch the launch videos from Korea and the press folks go over a lot of info on these vehicles. Of course it is typically the top of the line versions do it is good to see some on models that the masses would buy. I look forward to more of your work! Keep up the great job!
I really applaud the return to HVAC controls that are large, clearly marked buttons. Enough of doing it through the infotainment. For the small nitpicking, yes, that's something they can work on, but this interior is just a million miles better than the Ford Escape interior that is so old.
Great review, boss. This car company is kicking ass more and more. They know and learn this business and it shows. American cars companies need to learn so much yet.
It’s strange that Hyundai didn’t release the 3.5 V6 Santa Fe in the US. The difference between the 2.4 and 3.5 in terms of fuel economy is not that big and you get way better performance with the V6.
@@RPD91 Can't speak to what engine is used in the Azera outside the US. The Azera is no longer available in the US. However, when it was available in the US its displacement was 3342 cubic centimeters. That is the same 3.3L engine that is now used in the Kia Sorento, the Stinger, and the Genesis G70. It's possible that Hyundai used a different engine in non-US markets but I'm skeptical that they would offer another engine 200 cc larger than their 3.3L V6, especially since the latter engine provides the same 290 HP you cited. www.caranddriver.com/hyundai/azera
I just returned a SE 2.4 AWD back to enterprise because I rented the vehicle for the Christmas holiday. You are so right the AWD made it handle so good. I love the car so much when I made it home I had to go buy one. I have been a die hard Toyota fan for so long but this car stole that spot. The best thing to do is go Test Drive one and you will see what an excellent vehicle Hyundai has made. Lastly, I know you didn't talk about this much but the safety equipment like Lane keep assist and emergency braking are really good. I have never driven a Tesla but I've driven a Toyota with this system and it's not even close.

get the asian sausage out of yer mouth.
Pedro, I’m a freaking Chevy guy but I got this 2019 Santa Fe in August 2018. Chevy is garbage compared to Hyundai and it’s so sad.
I always thought the slanted pillar on the back of the Equinox made it look like crap and they went and put it on the Traverse. smh
US Auto makers? Bruh. This Hyundai Santa Fe is Made in the USA in Alabama. This Korean car is American as they get!
I think US Auto Makers know their market.
@@txhorn10 Chevy still got the trucks and Corvette on point but their everyday vehicles suck.
Honestly I think you have the best dry humour out of all the car reviewers, you're the only one I find myself consistently laughing at. Plus your reviews are outstanding, very in depth and you bring up a ton of thing's other reviewers don't talk about. Keep up the great work. Happy New Year
As a midwesterner who wears gloves in the winter I love the chunky buttons and dials. More car makers need to realize not everyone lives in SOCAL.
I need to do all the riding lawn mower video
every single material of Mr Goose is worth watching.

John Arnold if it were anyone else I’d agree but this is a Savagegeese review
Hyundai, Genesis and Kia. Constantly getting better and even surpassing the competition. Thank you for focusing on the details at the beginning of the video. These details on the craftsmanship are overlooked in other car reviews. Well done!👍
This channel has the straight up best production value of any other one-guy-car-channels out there. kudos
This seems like a nice daily with the AWD and 2L turbo engine. Love the interior as well. Appreciate that Hyundai actually put effort into this product
Happy New Year sir, thank you for the countless hours of entertainment and automotive enligtenment 🙏
I am waiting your review for the Palisade next year!
As I said in another thread....he drives it like a sports car (in the video) and complains it doesn't handle well. It's not a sports car!!
Wow, genuinely surprised at such high praise. Good on Hyundai.
I never skip ads on your videos, we support you
Just bought a 2019 Santa Fe Limited 2.0T FWD after tons of research, test driving, and watching reviews online.
Do you find the 2.0 engine to be choppy or sluggish as he described? I’d love to have the power over the 2.4.
I've driven one and I'm incredibly impressed by this vehicle.
Love my new Santa Fe. Ditched a Mercedes GLC43 and never been happier. Australian model comes with 2.2L diesel, third row seats and improved suspension tune.
Getting the 2020 model, I cant wait. I couldn't fall in love with any other SUV. I just love everything about this car.
Video quality and review details are getting even better and more engaging.
Thanks!
Hated the old cluttered 'king cobra' looking center stack. Love the redesign.
Another great comprehensive review. Nice car.
He actually has two battle hardened lawn gnomes and a cross dressing leprechaun for motivation. A surprisingly capable formula for a production team.
Totally agree on the blue interior lighting; they are stressful and harmful to the eyes!
Just got the base model, didn’t need all the tech. The base model does have the dual laminated windshield btw. It’s on my window sticker.
Most underrated car channel on youtube. Great review as always man!
Keep doing exactly what you're doing, man. It's nice to have these reviews of normal vehicles that people are actually driving. Your presentation is excellent, as always.
I test drove the 2.0T and 2.4 Santa Fes today, and they were great.
At the end we are paying for them
? I prefer just one visit in a year than 2 or more in the same period of time
Things more related to usability
:
The same sensor is used to lock or open the doors, so you are not totally sure if you car is open or closed when you're leaving.
The 4 seconds should always start to count when you stand right in front of your trunk but not from the rear sides near the wheels
The GPS is totally usefulness to find any chain of grocery and stores here in Quebec. All the available in the GPS seem to be US related
.
Where is my 120 power outlet I do see in the ultimate in Australia, Russia and US? Sometimes, for work I need to connect my laptop, and I was hoping to find it similar to other latitudes
Even all these cons I have found, probably I'm so picky, I love several features like the HID and the Active LKA, Front and Rear lights. I find this to be a really good vehicle. I'm glad i did and bought this Santa fe last year this car, being the first unit sold at the dealer, and it seems based on this entry, i'm glad it seems i did a good choice.
And they put aluminum but not fake metal in the dashboard
This review helped me make my choice today. I'll pick up my car in a few days. Thank you for the effort you do in your videos... as others have said, high quality cinema work here. I love it. Thank you!
I don't even give a crap about this SUV but this channel is so good that I am watching it anyway. Two thumbs way up.
I love my Santa Fe so much I'm watching year old reviews of it.
The wife has a 2014 Santa Fe Sport 2.4 FWD and we are pretty happy with it. She loves how much load it can handle in the rear.
You deserve more people watching your reviews.
Great review. The Santa Fee is my go to rental. Four people with luggage no problem.
Anyone in the market for a new car needs this channel.
#SavageGeese, I forgot to mention that my husband and I also enjoyed the back seat. The leather was easy to wipe off. 😉
Lol.
How does this rate for longevity? I have a CRV that is about 10 years old. I'm looking for something bigger that I can keep for another 10, but don't really need 3 rows. I'm considering the Santa Fe, Sorento, Highlander, Pilot, etc..
Look out honda and toyota hyundai doing big things and they have the best warranty out!
Only for the original owner.
Hyundai is swinging for the fences one generation at a time. I keep saying 10 years from now they will begin to outsell Honda and Toyota on certain models, it should be a fun future to look forward to when it comes to the Hyundai name.
Yup Kia will be here there too
Fantastic warranty
Very affordable

And stylish
(I looooove my 2016 kia soul best car purchase thus far)
Nope...it was detailed before return...
me and my wife leased this car a few weeks ago, simply amazing. the led interior lighting is a pretty pure white to me....i havent noticed a blue tint to it at all
Great review, just one thing I must say as a designer.
Satellite radio rewind is the only option that matters when deciding which vehicle to purchase! #StraightPipes!!! Another great video!

Keep up the good work Savagegeese
You can tell you really enjoyed this vehicle. Can’t blame you Hyundai is doing a great job now. Happy New Years to you and all the other geese
Bextar636 Hi there..may I know how much you paid for SEL trim
Prabhas Raju...….….$26 K
I’m sorry, can we talk about that front end? WTF IS THAT THING
Joseph Wallace.....Get with the times, you're too young to know design !
One of the best reviews that I’ve seen. I purchased the Ultimate Turbo and love it.
I’m in Australia and have the diesel 7 seat AWD version that is now 3 months old and it is sensational. 2.2l turbo with 8 speed auto.
Simplicity, reliability, value for money !!! 👌🏆👍
I agree about the blue interior lighting.
And the tacked on info center.
My Sister and bro in law bought a fully loaded SEL with the 2.4. They absolutely love it, and ngl, I do too

I think it might be designed for RHD.
polaris911 Thank You! I assumed I was the only person annoyed by this!
That intro music is a lot more amazing than it should be for a Hyundai.
Thanks for the video, great stuff as usual! I watch the launch videos from Korea and the press folks go over a lot of info on these vehicles. Of course it is typically the top of the line versions do it is good to see some on models that the masses would buy. I look forward to more of your work! Keep up the great job!
The Turbo works much better with the all wheel drive I've heard, the 2.4L is a little under powered
2 years later and I'm seriously considering getting one of these on the strength of this and the Pipes reviews.
Gdi engine- seriously think about it...
I agree. I drove the new one recently and was impressed by the interior upgrade a lot! But the lease numbers didn’t work for us . Great review . Thx!
It’s strange that Hyundai didn’t release the 3.5 V6 Santa Fe in the US. The difference between the 2.4 and 3.5 in terms of fuel economy is not that big and you get way better performance with the V6.
That vehicle is the Kia Sorento. But it's a 3.3L V6, the same that's used in the Stinger and the Genesis G70.
Stephen Hendricks the Santa Fe uses the 3.5 V6 that is used in the Hyundai Azera. Close to 290HP.
@@stephenhendricks103 The Stinger and G70's 3.3L is turbocharged whereas the Sorento's is NA.

Dang! That tailgate is super quick on the way up!
I’m loving Hyundai designs these days. They’ve really come into their own!
The instrument panel is COOL!
