Jerry Butler "Brand New Me"

Welcome! These clips are from a large video collection that is now being converted from VHS/Beta to digital many from the 70's, 80's and 90's. If I know the original air date/year I will post it.
There is some viewing quality loss from the original video source due to the age of the tapes, but the performances are preserved and still a joy to view. I'm finding many lost performances from vintage R&B, Soul, Pop, Broadway, Cabaret and other performances. This channel will be the Ed Sullivan channel for the digital generation, something for everyone to enjoy. Many of the performances will be seen for the first time since they were originally televised. I will be adding many musical performances from a variety of sources that I hope you will enjoy. This was part of a performance on PBS show called " Soul". He also sang " Make it Easy on Yourself" very slow with deep soul.
In early 70's....think it was 1970.

I Was First Introduced To This Great Song By The Beautiful And Talented Dusty Springfield, In 1969 Not Knowing That The Great Jerry Butler, Had Come To Philadelphia One Year Earlier In 1968 To Record "A Brand New Me" I Like Both Of Their Version's For Different Reason's. Aretha Franklin, Recorded A Version Of A "Brand New Me" In 1972 Such A Great Song With Meaning.
