      Actually the blower is an axil flow compressor. They utilize one or more rows of rotating blades which utilize a stationary row of blades to redirect air flow to the following row of rotating blades. They move high quantities of air at relatively low pressure. Excellent for your leaf blowing requirements.

    Bag those leaves and sell them as mulch for garden fertilizer.
    Using leaf mulch is an organic, inexpensive, nutrient-rich way to make sure your plants will grow and produce year after year. Fall is in the air; the leaves are on the ground, and I couldn't be happier.
    To be clear, I don't enjoy the work of raking leaves any more than you do. However, I do have a solid appreciation for what leaves add to my garden and landscape just a few months after they fall. Where most people see leaf debris as trash, along with hours of raking or blowing, bagging and hauling, I see garden beds covered in rich, organic compost.
    Nature knows what it's doing. In fact, did you know that leaves contain 50 to 80% of the nutrients that are extracted from the earth by tree roots? Recycling this precious resource to replenish soil will nourish all that is planted in it. If you're already gathering them up anyway, doesn't using leaves as mulch make perfect sense?

    Wow the difference between before and after was mind-blowing (pun intended lol).
    The plow attachment would also be very useful in the right circumstances as well.
    If you could get all the leaves in one pile from each year and added enough of the other ingredients, you would have a very impressive compost pile each year.

    One improvement I would suggest is the ability to aim 45 degrees to the front so that the leaves are blown both forward and to the side which I think would be better for a long driveway. And as a bonus, the next time you construct a "a regulation bon-type fire" as Col. Potter would say, set that unit nearby and watch that baby burn anything and everything!

Just placing various stuff from old trucks & truck caps, disused equipment to log piles beside your drive is exacerbating your leaf problem in every way from the wind piling it up to you having to blow around all of it. @@NUTTER8291 The difference between Ventrac and a mini-tractor is that the Ventrac was designed to be able to mow grades. I drive a Walker, but any time I have to do a really overgrown lawn, I wish I had the budget for a Ventrac.

    Matt better keep the blower and send the plow back I dont see there is much use of the plow. Man that blower is a beast. I have been looking at the Ventrac for 5 years and havent pulled the trigger yet but I can see it has more uses other than mowing, all I had been looking at was the mower deck and all the things it can do. I see it has more than one season of use. Just call the dealership and tell them you'll take the blower at a 10% discount since it their demo blower.

    • @philhunt9297
      @philhunt9297 Рік тому +3

      Agreed ...............except
      All those leaves =
      1 - strong wind in the wrong direction = more work
      2 - Leaf mulch is one of the best compost maker around - good for improving soil
      therefore IMHO would've been far superior machine if it vacuumed and contained rather than blow and disperse
      *please note the IMHO*

    • @pjuppi
      @pjuppi Рік тому +2

      @@philhunt9297 i agree with you. it really is an impressive piece of machinery, but a temporary one. i checked their website and they do actually have a "grass and leaf vacuum", it's called "RV602". dunno if it is as effective to remove the wet stuck leafs tho? 🤔

    • @Jehty_
      @Jehty_ Рік тому +4

      @@pjuppi problem with leaf vacuums is the size of the storage tank.
      And judging by the pictures the RV602 has a tiny tank.
      With the amount of leaves Matt has I think it would be more of a hassle.

    • @pjuppi
      @pjuppi Рік тому

      @@Jehty_ yea, that''s true. it was indeed kinda tiny. but he could've just dumped the leaf stacks on the edge of the driveway and set it on fire 😁. either more hassle to transport it away / fire it up or blow it away and have the wind take it back. i have no idea what's the best solution, either way we get cool videos like this!

    @garymucher4082 Рік тому +12

    Matt, actually what you need is a huge vacuum that sucks up the leaves and grinds them into dust and shoots that dust into a pull behind container. Than you can dump the container where ever you wish. And mulched up leaves would take a mere 10% or less the volume of blown leaves... Just an idea. Thumbs Up
