Great video, in part 3 can you cover the survivor series rivalry? I don't think I've ever got it to work.
Hopefully WWE 2k23 will have batter cutscenes do u ever create custom superstars from scratch I try it's a little differecult
@@Nathan-hunter oh yeah extremely difficult if you don't have the right things. Lkke all the good crestors use a pc to create logos or their phone if that option still works
@@OffDeGanja yeah I don't use community creations don't have a play station account so I make all my stuff from scratch I didn't do all that bad on Cody Rhodes but didn't get the moves right
We definitely need contract signing or backstage brawls , something that can build the rivalry instead of having them face each other every week, because realistically in WWE the fans would be tired of seeing it.
They have backstage brawls already. They just suck…

I really hate the fact that they just fight each other always (or 90% of the time) thought the point was to fight at the ppv like it should be

@@SecondCitySaint97 not even. Promos in 2k19 used to help break up some of the fighting, but if we could get an overhauled promo system for 2k23, this could add a ton of options for rivalries

@@nottyrese nah, even in 2k19 they fight every week. And promo system was horrible. We need story designer to be implemented in Universe mode.
Majority of these cut scenes have been in the game since 2016. its been my biggest complaint about 2k. I run my own fed and because they took out Promos and story mode out of the game, its just matches. So the fact that we keep seeing the same cut scenes in the same show breaks the illusion and makes it hard for anyone to create a good show.
Tip: If you have wrestlers as potential rivals and you're freely booking a feud between them, when you book a 1 on 1 match between them, start the match and then exit it immediately. Once you go back to the match card, there's a probability the game will turn the match into a potential rivalry match which will get you a cutscene.
My favourite Universe Mode memory was back in SVR 11, where I managed to get the Miz to win every championship without any tinkering. I played every match, won all the gold on RAW, got drafted to Smackdown then won all the gold on there. 2010 me was happy
I loved you also can have all three titles on you when you come out too..I remember I made Umaga the USA and world champion on smackdown and he had one belt on his shoulder and holding the other down the aisle
Deletion Utility is just amazing it helps with cleaning up your game and making everything more refreshed

Specific ppvs trigger certain cutscenes as well. Like TLC usually has a couple cutscenes involving ladders and tables as long as there is a rivalry
I think you should be able to have the option to add cut scenes In the match of choice and maybe be able to even choose witch cutscenes you want to add
Thank you for confirming that tag team finishers in the game, DO NOT WORK NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO! I’ve been complaining about this since DAY ONE when the game first came out and a bunch of idiots just tell me that it works on theirs and that I bought a bad copy of the game and I should just get another one smfh!!
Just a heads up the best way to injure a superstar is to lower their Arm, Body, & Leg Durability, I normally lower

▪︎Heavyweights 10%
▪︎Light Heavyweights 15%
▪︎Cruiserweights 20%
But depending on the superstar it can vary plus all "Recovery Stamina" is lowered as well but I mostly play simulation during my universe mode, I haven't seen an injury cutscenes just yet in my universe but as I speak right now Santos Escobar is out for about 3 weeks do it critical injury, it seems like a lot of work but its kinda worth it in my opinion if you want your universe to seem more authentic.

Actually what I did is I put the peeps on their correct shows, but took everybody out of the rankings except the champs, and they are in other. With everybody out it ends up being like the attitude era where anybody can go for any title. It has been quite interesting.
I appreciate this! Because I wanted to figure out a way to get people going after different belts. How did this work for tag titles? Did you get random pairing of guys, or was it only stables who were in contention?
@MDangerously I just created the tag teams and the game will still choose those teams. Sometimes you can get random, but like the Usos still get pick. The IIconics (still use them since not a lot of women tag teams)still get picked. What is also cool is the game will still give you a match card. I even had John Cena who is not apart of any show getting booked for a title match vs Roman. Cena lost and has not been booked since. It's like part timers will even get a chance.

Brilliant video man, I definitely hope in 2K23 we get a mixture of Universe and Create a Story so you can set up your own show down to the promos, matches and cutscenes.

Another tip: You can delete wrestlers assigned to Universe mode saves in the Edit a Superstar menu
A got 2 unique sitting on the ringside cutscenes: One where the guest just enters the ring and attacks the rival, causing the DQ and leading into a post match beatdown and another where the guest, who is the challenger, distracts the champion by attempting to steal the belt.
I had that first one in a match I just ran a bit ago. Asuka was fighting Becky Lynch, with Becky in control, Mickie James randomly comes out, starts fighting with Becky and causes the DQ, immediately followed by Asuka locking Becky in the Asuka Lock.
Thanks so much Matt , definitely needed this universe mode series because I never knew how to trigger rivalries and I'd end up getting bored in universe mode. For part 3 could u go through the championship divisions and any tips to keep it interesting
Did y’all see at 6:24 when Raquel’s character placed her hand on Becky’s characters head? That’s a nice touch as its a truly authentic gesture wrestlers use after taking bumps.
A lot of crashes also happen due to people not taking care of their devices. Cleaning the cache on your Xbox/PlayStation/Phone/PC/Tablet can prevent a ton of crashes. As well as deleting unused apps. For those who dont run power saving settings on their console or PC(even when the device is "off" its still preforming background tasks/downloads/etc when not selected) You run an even higher risk.
Even if youve never experienced crashing personally...deleting unused apps/files alongside clearing your cache with proper device maintenance--youll see faster loading screens & smooth operation.
This is a very useful series looking for part 3 can’t wait to try this when i finish moving out of my home

I’d also love to know how you handle your power rankings or division rankings. Do you just let the cpu manage those throughout the year or will you manually move people up and down?
I literally was just saying what is wrong with my universe mode as I never get cut scenes. Then again I use my custom matches a lot but this video was helpful.
Best thing I did for universe mode was change the match table, instead of those stupid inter gender tag matches that never made sense and the countless one v ones you can pick what kind of matches happen and how regular, makes for a better show.
Just toggle with it because at first I was getting triple threats and countless steel cage matches each show.

Tip:If you see rivalry match pop up on the card. DON’T CHANGE THE MATCH! I know how tempting it could be but it will cancel any possible cutscenes if you do so.

I miss the story creator. I was a kid when I used it, and it was 99% cutscenes, I even made a few only cutscenes, and I'd just spend my entire time out of school doing it, then I got into creating matches, with the cutscenes and I had the absolute craziest things happening. It was like watching pure attitude era, my so so many CACs. Also creat a finisher, I get the absolute cheese it brought in pvp online, but you could make so many cool moves, that looked 1000× more powerful and insane than anything you'd ever watch in WWE, or see in any of the following games. God I miss SmackDown vs Raw
Hi there’s a way to work around tag team finishers to make it work in universe mode
All you have to do when you start a universe mode go for the tag teams that have finisher like ( New day ) have a tag finisher all you have to do is replace the tag members and change the name of the tag team
But sadly you can’t change the finisher you still gonna have the finisher of the team you replaced
It worked for me in universe mode 😊
To trigger the “tag team breakup” you have to put the two members in the tag team or group of people in a rivalry and have them lose a match.

Hey LA KNIGHT, I noticed you said that the only way for someone to delete the Created wrestler that's in universe mode is by deleting the save but that's not the only way you can actually just go in to create a superstar go to edit and then delete them from there the only thing that won't delete is the images
I’ve noticed the only Tag team finishers you can use , are the finishers that are for already established teams that were already in the game , I was able to use the Usos finisher the New Day and street profits
to get tag finishers work there’s 2 options.
1. after you place your opponent in the corner you can run towards them and the tag finisher option will pop up
2. you can hit them when their in the corner and after the tag finisher will pop up.
this only works for default tag teams that were already set any new tag teams that are set it will not work.
What we mean is you cannot create a tag team and assign a finisher and use it in universe mode. It will constantly reset . Only the standard teams they have a pre assigned tag finisher will work
I agree with a lot of the comments, My universe is totally lacking in story/cut scenes/entertainment. I just watched a guy play Raw vs. Smackdown 2006 and there was an interviewer getting run over by a car and Booker T coming in to play detective and you could make choices on what you answer and depending on what you say there are actually alternate matches and rivalries that setup....SSSOOOOO if they could do that in 2006, how the hell does "my universe" totally lack any kind of campaign or story.....I have the whole Attitude era lineup for Raw on Monday and Smackdown on Thursday and I also have WCW Nitro (with the full WCW roster too) playing on Saturday every week. Raw and Smackdown I have split up fairly even per division, I have all my divisions and champions per show fixed up and per match types I want to occur per %...I literally spent like 4 days just going over all the tedious details to make my universe as perfectly '98-'03 as I can. Even making all the tag teams and rivalries and recreating Raw is War stadium from top to bottom and I am so happy we can do this because attitude era is the only way I can find this fun but I thought if I did all the leg work and basically created a whole new video game where I don't even have to edit matches ever, that the stories and cut scenes would happen more often and fun content would show....SSSOOO disappointing!!!
I will always say that Smackdown vs Raw 2011 and WWE 12 had the best Universe modes.
I just hope in the next game the created wrestlers actually can have stable rivalries

The right way to do Universe mode should be story's. A selection of stories that you can put stars in and then have them play it out. A template story of the Evolution formation, domination, fracturing and then break up could be set up and it doesn't have to play out scripted but sort of guided in a way that feels original.
There could be a Royal Rumble return storyline set up, which could then transition to a Road to Wrestlemania Storyline.
The main problem in the Universe mode is that for it to improve they actually have to give two shits about it. But they don't. Which is why all I ask for them is to add multiple title entrance and matches, plus a tournament system and I'll be fine with the rest being the sandbox version that I can micromanage.
I miss the part where we can create our own cutscenes, our own dialogue... our own STORY

I injured Doink the Clown 2 shows in Universe Mode with Bret Hart and got an injury scene for the first time !!
7:36 lol for me it’s the opposite. if I don’t add them to the division, but they’re on the brand, they’ll CONSTANTLY get booked in throwaway matches. lol
I figured out that you have to create the tag teams in regular play and make the moveset from there. It’s a pain but it’s worked for me. I’ll do all my team stuff in the universe mode. It’s pop up after you check it.
My experience with not putting a superstar in a division is they end up being fodder for another rivalry. I had my custom character in a feud for the nxt championship (He was champ). I was having a feud with Kane and for weeks straight (almost up until the PPV) I was having a match with MGK (because I had him on nxt, but didn't have him in a division, he was L.A. Knight's manager). Every week I was having a match with MGK, but Kane would come out either after the match to do a "Battle on the stage cut-scene OR Kane would just jump me before the match.

I haven't looked at anything to do with 2k22 all year long. I was just sick of all the glitches and problems this series had and I wanted nothing to do with it. But decided to come look now to see if anything had changed and maybe some hope for 2k23... Seems like nothing has changed and It will just be a waste of my money.
Serious question though. Not trying to ruin anyone's fun. But if you do enjoy this game and will keep buying it despite the problems the game has... WHY? I really want to understand what makes it worth it cause I just couldn't take anymore.

@@AssembleShow Oh okay and a lil question or suggestion I saw you had mad downloaded arenas, I got like 4 cause of course from all images downloaded for all ALT attires for the in game superstars annd I wonder do you stay more on downloading arenas and a small a mount of ALT attires like how you be able to have that many arenas in your method?
Also and I know this is not the same but as far as tag team finishers what I did was I went into all my tag teams movesets and set their up direction tag move to whatever there finishers are. You can usually hit a finisher and then pull this off right after and get a pin. It is no way as satisfying but it's something.
Tag Finshers work when you Irish whip them in your corner u have to run and press your Finsher at the same time

I would love to see if you can explain if you haven’t already universe mode divisions and how to move up the ranks. If I am in the 10th spot for the world title how far up the ranks can I challenge someone and how will my rank chance
So does anybody else rivalries go longer than what you give? I literally set all my rivalries to short so I can avoid that.

Most Universe modes cut scenes happen in my head because I turn off automatic rivalries and micromanage everything. The cut scenes are shit anyways.
i have a custom roster with 60 created superstars and custom arenas my game hasn't crashed in months

Pretty off topic but do you have any advice on how to make tattoos you download from the creation suite look good? I find myself having to copy/paste the same tattoo to fill the arm and it doesn’t look too nice

i think i mentioned injuries in the video. 3 -4 weeks straight against same opponent. damage them deep red each match, should trigger an injury with that scene. 'should'
You have to injure your opponent in the same spot for 3 consecutive matches I believe
I want the universe to have manager cutscenes, including draft cutscenes. I also wish they have create a story. (Even though it has nothing to do w my universe.)
I don't see alot of cutscenes but I have to imagine that's due to me having rivalries turned off? I just don't like seeing the same matches over and over and over. I usually just every couple pay-per-views reorder my divisions. I was wondering if know you mentioned it but I seem to tinker and simulate more then play. Now I tinker about 75% of the time. Now as far as when doing shows thatmlast 25 is split between play and sim.
I hope wwe 2k23 is better we need season mode detailed story lines I hate repetitive modes it could be better

Recently I have seen a few new cut scenes I have never seen before I been going strong in universe mode I'm almost half way done my next ppv is clash of champions

When you select "delete all not used" does it still delete all your custom portraits or was that patched?
They should have a way to trigger cutscenes in universe like in showcase
Can you make wrestlers ALT attire permanent in universe? Can you show how to make wrestlers come out with ALT attire? For example When i do universe and Jey USO comes out he always has his defualt stuff. Not his ALT attire..

What I did was go to edit a superstar and change their default attire to the custom one and it has worked for me at least. But you have to do it in the regular menu.
Thats what i did.and works in regular play.. And in universe they still apear in the original gear.. Not sure if im missing something..
@@bland525k You have to change it in Universe mode. For example if you have an updated Roman, you need to change the default attire in Universe mode for it to take affect. I think you can also apply it in the main Roster menu if you highlight the Universe save you want to use.

I beat liv Morgan with a rollup and got the 3 and went outside the ring she got mad ran after me and threw me back in the ring and proceeded to beat me down until I got the upper hand on her and hit my finisher
@Assemble I do have a question though. I noticed last night when I was trying to create a new character that it kept crashing. Literally went on trying for a half hour.
have you fixed your alpha academy entrance thing? im not getting any audio in my universe with that entrance at all.

So, basically these cutscenes only work if you play out matches through the universe mode, not superstar mode.. Them cutscenes will always be broken? Sad..
People always NEVER spawn in when they're supposed to, during the superstar mode (universe mode that you play a career in, kind of.) Leaving the match to sometimes just not be playable.
I've always had a question: what is the purpose of the superstar's personality? Does it actually change something on the cutscenes?

Hmm i can get tag finishers to work fairly consistently by grappling and manually leading an opponent to the corner where you point blank toss them into the corner
There's about a 3 second pop up indicating the finisher prompt you have to hit, if you miss it it tutn to a regular tag attack
Not sure if this is a conscious decision on the devd part or a bug. But I've gottrn even caw team finishers to work this way

Hey man, it's Ethan! Hope you been ok... Now I do have one simple short question. When I try to make a show it only gives me edit. What happened? Even when I create an arena it doesn't give me an option to go right to the show making

I want to see friendships made and destroyed I want to see people taking out their opponents before the fight backstage. I wanna see them remove myrise and focus on universe mode cutscenes if I see the same cutscene twice on 1 card somethings wrong
15:10, does this do anything to resolve the issue when playing the Royal Rumble matches and not having both result as Customized Match? Is it that simply having custom characters will result as me custom setting the match within the Universe mode RR match card?
I have never gotten many cut scenes in universe since it's inception. I must play universe wrong...
How to get superstar injured
Well, I have images for customs that have "Not Used" and they actually are. Is there a fix for this?
