    Great video. Thanks for showing the new TeamLab. We saw TeamLab Planets and it was one of the highlights of our visit to Tokyo, I can't wait to experience the new Borderless.

    Hi Kengo, oh wow, you got to visit on the day it opens, thats great ! I have been to TeamLab Planets in Toyosu in 2023 and really loved it. So the next time I travel to Japan, I very much look forward to see the new TeamLab Borderless. I am sure that this video is great, but I wont watch it (on purpose), because I want to keep this as a surprise to myself, when I will visit myself. Not really knowing what to experience, was for me a huge part of the experience at TeamLab Planets.

      Hi. Yes, I only could go on the opening day so I managed to get the tickets on the first slot of the opening day, but I didn't expect I become the first visitor. Yes, I mentioned in Harry Potter video too, but I think it's really better not to watch the video before you go. I actually lost 2 hours of footage from this day as my SD card was broken, so I really couldn't show much of it in this video, but I agree the "surprise" and explore "what's next?" is the key elements to enjoy. 👍

    1:39 As a graphic designer, I love this entrance so much. I absolutely love the perspective change on the lettering as you walk in - it took my breath away! Super impressed! Hope you’re well Kengo san!

      I'm doing well Chris san! Thank you. I hope you are doing well too. Yes, the entrance was very nice. I'm keep watching it again now that you mentioned about it.

      As Chris mentioned, the distorted perspective letters at the entrance was an amazing non-digital start to a mostly digital experience without language. I was surprised that there wasn’t a similar effect written in Japanese (in Kanji) as well. Does the use of English make it seem more “exotic” or unusual in some way for Japanese people? (I realize there is a light of bilingual signage in the exhibit, but this was explicitly only in English.)

    • @tokyokenchan
      @tokyokenchan  10 місяців тому

      @@scooterxx6094 Yes, there is some values among Japanese that written in Japanese is something "not cool" or "cheap" (not sure if these are the right words). It really depends but this could be Japanese (Katakana) and it would be still amazing. Thank you for the great insight.

    Thanks! Very timely and informative video! We never really considered visiting a Team Labs experience before because of the slopes and water. But seeing this video makes this new location seem accessible for an older couple like us. We are now seriously considering going there when we visit Tokyo in May

      Thank you for your support for the video Kavin san Dale san! Yes, it's directly connected from Kamiyacho station, so it got much easier to get to the teamLab. Yes, you don't have to take off shoes unlike another teamLab venue, so that might be also a good point. I recommend you to take your time and watch your steps as some rooms are dark and floors are not flat. It's definitely a fun place to visit. :)

    teamLab borderless looks amazing! What a fantastic and unique experience! It is truly a unique experience to actually interact with the exhibit and realise that the exhibit will never be the same again in time. Have been to the teamLab exhibit in both Singapore (ArtScience Museum) and teamLab Planets in Odaiba. Can't wait to visit Borderless in the future!

    Hi Kengo, I already reserved my ticket for team lab borderless for 10:00 Am March 16th 😊. Do you have any suggestions for others activities that we have to reserve before coming to Japan? We are also going to Kyoto for 6 days… activities that we have to reserve earlier? Than you for you advice and so excited to go to your country 😊. I’m from Canada ☺️

      @@tokyokenchan that is good to know. When I went to Team Lab Planets it was raining very hard. So we were standing outside in the strong wind and rain until it was time to go in. Can do show more about what is in and around the new Azubudai Hills building. Is there more to see there?
