Had the pleasure of speaking with Devon Smullen at NAMM 2023 as we go over these ground breaking instruments! You can find Devon Basses here: devonbass.com
He said he could do any pickup combination people might want, but I doubt a single/ humbucker/ split/ reverse split/ humbucker/ single - not least because there would not be room for 6 pickups and because only someone crazy would want that. The pickup selector(s) alone would be on another level.
The genius at work 🔥🔥
That fret 0 and beveled fretboards should be standard. What a great invention.
Agreed. An instrument that has the best of both worlds!
I am definetly keeping an eye on Devon basses
He’s a really nice guy too ! Very humble about his accomplishments ! 😇🎸
One of the best character traits to have. He was a real pleasure to talk to and glad he allowed me to interview his accomplishments! 🙏🏽🎸🔊
I tried a friends Devon bass a few years back. Great instrument
Awesome! Your friend has good taste

It’s such a great concept!
With much respect, Yamaha bbne did that long ago 😊
@@cheewaiyuen4237 only on that signature bass. They should have carried it over into their full line of basses. I play an RBX and a TRBX.

The blonde quilted top beautiful
It’s an eye catcher!
he really likes to call them "my basses" as if there isn't a whole team of people that make those basses come to life.
Great basses but I loathe those lollipop tuners.
Yeah definitely an acquired taste 😬
