The more ways to farm a certain ressource like credits, the better it is! I don't really like Index nor Profit Taker, do this is another fun way to do it! Thank you for the clear and precise breakdown of this method!
I want to make an addition to the video The essence of farming is to create a bunch of gas clouds in one place that last as long as possible You have to do this: you pull as many mobs as possible into one place, fill the fat ones (eximus, gunners, etc.) with as many clouds as possible, and when a conditional butcher arrives who has little health, all the clouds in which he died are counted as death he loses credits for every cloud he was in Therefore, builds through the melee influence will not make any sense, just as they will run into electricity, and the best thing that can be done with the new mystics for close combat is to push the magnet status to the gas, putting the mystic on pull with a 45% chance when killing someone then with magnet status, which will be just a pleasant bonus And if you close the weapon too much so that it starts killing, the build will be broken :/
@@korsakov319 It should since all other weapon effects work with melee influence, I haven't given it much testing since I've been having a ton of fun with the dual ichors.

Since the last update with tennokai and melee arcanes, I'm using Chroma (for Effigy) + Secura Lecta. For Lecta I use electric+gas with electric as primary damage in order to trigger Melee Influence that spreads all melee elemental status; I also use the Opportunity's Reach for tennokai and Life Strike + Killing Blow; optional mods are for your own playstyle like stance/attack speed/range/more status etc. Ofc a team with both Chroma and Nekros would gain like 10 times what a solo Chroma would get or twice what a solo Nekros would get, but I like my dragonmancer.

This method is actually better than PT when accounting for the loading screens and how long you stay in mission, but it could take upwards of 15 to 20 min until this method surpasses solo PT farm and 25-30 min, if no other farming frames are present on the full squad, besides nekros. Both examples, assume player has a credit booster.
No, Smeeta provides buffs completely randomly (and the buff only lasts for 2.5 minutes when you do get one). Tbh I have not tested this build since the damage changes came into effect so something may have happened with Gas damage that affects the rates. Will to to confirm that though
You can give it a whirl. I find there is a balance as to how fast you kill enemies. If you kill them too quickly, the credit income seems to drop for me.
So its actually an interaction with Gas damage that makes it viable again. It fell out of favour because there weren't any ways to improve the credit gain above what you get for doing index or profit taker. I'm not an expert on it (hence I don't delve into it in the video) - I believe someone else left a comment on the vid explaining exactly what's happening.
I might have missed it, but where are the credits coming from? Does the Secura Lecta have some kind of weird credit trait? Also if it does, I wonder if Khora's whipclaw can inherit the trait like Incarnon stat sticks... (I need to farm Lua Thrax Plasim
Yes the Secura Lecta has a unique trait which allows it to A) Guarantee credit drops and B) 4x the amount of credits dropped (if at max rank). It does not, however, transfer over to Khora's whip unfortunately.
Not as broken as you might think, due to the interactions with different status effects and the credit multiplier it doesn;t actually do all that much for the build
I've tried quite a few things, I find Khora's to be by far the best unfortunately. A completely different alternative would be to try and use Mag (see Lord Dom's channel for that one) as her bubble can effectively gather enemies. You could also try and use Cordon on Nautilus however as I said, I find this to be quite chaotic.
if the only goal of the farm is essentially credits, could you use a high armor frame like Valkyr or Rhino? I get Nekros is for the additional loot drop with desecrate, but strictly speaking on credits?

I like how basically no one tries to find out why this works, and the reason is quite simple, due to generic DE's spaghetti code, gas cloud/electricity/heat ticks count as a separate kill effect if they were affecting the target right at the moment when you killed the target, thus triggering the passive multiple times, and since gas cloud can overlap massively, this allows you to get credits from the passive multiple times, and not just once, from the same very target if you aren't the host, this doesn't work like that, just like Zephyr's crit inherit with tornado that starts to act all funky
great, i was using melee influence to further expand the gas clouds all over the place, i wonder if it works with the credit procs too as it they count as separate kills, i cant notice it since im a new player
I wouldnt recommend a 'dead end' slows things down, instead of having enemies pouring from 3 to 4 directions, u have them channeled into 1. Just get good and dont die i guess.
