I have seen SO MANY people complain about the "creepy look in her eyes" and the "creepy crawl". I'm honestly pretty sick of it. She's just very determined and she's trembling with that feeling. I understood that immediately.

I genuinely can't get over how much Halle floored me here. This is my favourite vocal from her in this film . The beginning with the hum and vocalisation flowing seamlessly into the words was a perfect touch that enhances the original piece. Her voice is delicate and warm and she's acting with her voice so perfectly. Having it almost acapella really adds to the magical , ethereal quality that's supposed to be there. Her voice reminds of the sun rising behind her, it's so perfectly matched. Stunning, glowing, warm and inviting. Then in the final section, how she starts out light and gradually builds the power, showing Ariel's determination and really giving the final belt the payoff it deserves. She did not need to go that hard and hold it that long , but im so grateful she did , it adds so much to the moment and really Gives the listener so much by showcasing such skill. Halle is so young and to be this talented at such a young age is astounding. There is no one like her in the industry right now , her voice is so special and unique, like Jodis was in the original, they have very similar tones and they sound so effortlessly beautiful. Halle sounds gifted with an otherworldly siren voice. You really can't praise her enough for what she gave to the role of Ariel. Thanks Audrey for always giving us such great content and giving Halle the attention her gift deserves, she truly has what original film said, simply "the most beautiful voice"
@@hyuka_ningningforeverI think it's spot on, her frustration of not being able to stay on land, watching Eric be taken away but determined to get there, it's powerful.

XDDDD I said the same thing! Like, Eric’s obvious butterflies gave ME butterflies! 😅 Sitting in the cinema so nervous and excited for them, even though we obviously know what’s going to happen. This movie made me experience feelings I haven’t felt since I was a kid, and that was definitely one of them. So REAL! 😭
Can't please everyone, lol. I don't have any problems with her singing or the way she enunciates her words. There's such a variety of singing styles to suit all different tastes. So it's hard to have everyone like it or it suit them. 🤷🏼♀️ To me, she nailed it. Even though I know not everyone will agree with me... And that's okay!
They way she slides on the rock at 5:16, kept pushing replay while streaming the movie because I love the way her hands move. Dunno if that's just me, but yeah, I love that. Her determination is also quite a lovely touch imo. ♡
I love how she's hiding behind a rock to, y'know, stay hidden, and then she climbs up top, clearly visible, and sings loud enough to melt the sun. To, uh, not stay hidden even a tiny bit with her magical voice that holds ethereal power over anyone who hears it.
Honestly, what she did with her fingers on the rocks wasn’t creepy to me at alll. Because she’s a MERMAID, basically an animal, a wild sea creature so it’s even perfect. The acting there was on point.
Knowing the history of mermaids in myths, it made sense for it to be "creepy" in the sense that animals/different species do things instinctively or move in certain ways that are not "normal" as humans. I thought it was a nice touch. What I didn't like, however, was the hand in "part of your world". That shot made me think of Thriller and Walking Dead lol
Their chemistry in the movie even shows in their interviews. You can tell they have so much respect for each other and a genuine bond because they went through this together as their first big movie and isolation during covid; they did a great job IMO. PLEASE review "Reprise II"...Halle's voice is soooo heart breaking and perfect.
The second time I saw the movie with my 19 old niece she started crying during this scene because it was so beautiful and powerful. Halle is perfection and she and I were squealing during Kiss The Girl because Eric and Ariel are just so cute.
