Mate,I’m 48 now and not been fishing since I were around 14/15,I’ve been watching your vids for a while now and this week hope to pick some tackle up off a mate after watching this Chanel. Thanks for putting the time in and banging out some brilliant stuff.
Hey brother! I went out today and used a very similar lure setup you had and caught myself a fantastic brown trout. Thanks from upstate New York! And yes, before anyone asks, we’re in season here ;-)
Berries > As a young teenager I watched a bloke pulling out huge roach on a stick float, he was fishing under an elderberry bush using the berries. Always told myself i'd return one day to have a go but never got round to it.good vid mate.
You always treat your catch with so much care and dignity before releasing it. I wish everybody did that. Great video as always and what a beautiful trout was that! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
started flyfishing chub last year, in Sweden. It's not very common here and I just stumbled on the population in a little stream like the one you're in. Great fun running an ultralight glassfibre #2 fly rod setup.
Another cracking video Chris pal 💯👌🏼 Going after Chubb but still managed to catch a Wild Brown bigger than anything I’ve ever caught & they are all I fish for 😂 I’m just guessing but I’d say if that wasn’t a Tiger Trout it deffo has some Tiger dna in it Nice1 Chris take it easy & Tight lines btw I was glad you didn’t continue up those rapids it looked very dangerous I wouldn’t have tried it that’s for sure 😉 ✌🏼💙🎣🏴👍🏼
During my childhood in the early 1940's I lived in a small coal mining village hamlet. Our next door neighbours were very poor and relied on any wild rabbit, hare or fish the family boys caught. I saw some huge fish the boys brought home and their dad skinning Pike ( their dad told me they would eat anyrthing but Pike fish skin ) or gutting all the other fish they had caught. So, every time I see a caught fish retrurned back to water it reminds me of "The ones that never escaped"
Would be cool to see you fish at Pitsford Reservoir! For being as big as it is it doesnt get much attention, you'd easily have the most viewed video on it, decent sized Pike and Perch there too! Love your content, you've got a heart of gold
Im not certain but that second trout looks a bit like a marbled trout, beautiful fish and the big brownie was fantastic!!! Brilliant vid as always Chris, better than stuff on telly!!!
The stream looks more to me like a trout stream than a coarse fish venue, love that streamer weed. Our small spate streams around here produce very little of it, but when present it usually means plenty of insect life to feed trout. I’ve taken plenty of river trout when a teenager on ultralight spin tackle out of white water pots like that, but that was half a century ago with a solid glass Milbro 7ft rod and an original Mitchell 300 - which i eventually wore out by using it exclusively for spin fishing. Mepps Aglia silver no.0 and no.1, black fury no. 2 in low Summer levels. Always cast upstream, never let the trout get below as control is then more or less gone. Nice bit of work here, your watercraft looks pretty sound to me. And I’ve never hooked a wild brownie remotely the size of yours shown here!
I love the little bits of random tangent looking at berries and stuff, the stuff that is happening around you. It's awesome. Shame no fiver today though haha.
I have been fishing with both fly and BFS setups all season. Fishing with light tackle on the BFS is incredible, particularly for Trout, Perch, and Chub.
Absolutely brilliant session that mate had a 5 pounder out on the maggots a few month ago on feeder my local river has got some beasts lurking also had a sea trout out 27" this year
Well done on another cracking little video Chris. What brand is that bfs combo set up, any ideas on price? Looks bang on for what i'm after for my first budget bfs set up, as I don't fancy paying too much.
Cracking Video Chris and some beautiful captures, the two Brownies were exceptional. Is there any chance u could do a bit in a vid about casting with the baitcaster reels and how to set them up cause ur casting always looks on point…. and let’s just say im not getting on so well with mine😂 Cheers
Hey man, thank you for These nice Moments, trouts with that "Design" and time look like SEA trouts here in Germany, they move up in rivers which have only chobs and other fish in summer, is that river moving to Lake?
Another cracking video man, really enjoyed it, i would love to get over to gb to fish for chub , barbel, from N ireland were we dont have them. Next fishing trip in the making 😊 🎣🎣🎣
A wading staff sure would've helped you up those rapids. Pick up a cheap collapsible hiking pole and clip it to your pack. Fold it open when you need it, close it up when you're done.
What superb wild things they are and getting so much rarer in our polluted rivers. Wasn’t the second one an even rarer “ tiger “ trout. Superb skills. Almost worth losing your toes to frostbite for…lol😮
Plus tigers get really orange on the belly when they get bigger , Browns do get those Atlantic salmon like markings sometimes and there's a million different strains .
Amazing catches. I was just wondering, looking to the sizes of them chubs, what is your record lengthwise? I am from the Netherlands where chubs are not that common. The national record is 59 cm. A few months ago I caught my PB of 52 cm 😊
Chris, could that unidentified Fish be a Char or a cross between a Rainbow and Brown Trout? I have caught Brownies that look like the one you just released, and often thought that they camouflage themselves to their surroundings.
Left-hand retrieve - my man! I see so many people cast with their right hand then make an awkward transition to hold the rod with their left hand. In the land of steelhead, often times they smack the lure as it hits the water and if you needed to transition the rod between hands while casting you'd miss the strike. Left-hand retrieve folks rise up!
They are sea trout running up from the sea to Spawn, after a week in fresh water they lose their silvery hue and resemble brown except they don't have any red spots.
Chris you should go back to that forgotten pond where you caught 2 big pike on that over grown pond with that blue lure cause you said you would go back with your float tube
Smashing videos as all ways love them all bud got 2 questions if u have time to anser wot do you use for underwater footage an do u use a mic or is that audio from the go pro say comes thought relly good 👍 smashing carmt wait for the next video bud
Your second trout looks like the more muted patterns that you seen on "tiger trouts", which is a hybrid of a brown trout and a brook trout. Any chance that there are some brookies around your spot?
The berries were sloe berries mate . Make great wine and sloe gin . Doubt the chub eat them though mate . They take the skin off yer teeth ! 😄. Lovely vid 👍
"just in season" sure man, we believe you 🤪
🤣
Was thinking along same lines myself think it was bit of white lie.
A kna, maybe said it a few too many times 😁
🤫
Trolls are out
Mate,I’m 48 now and not been fishing since I were around 14/15,I’ve been watching your vids for a while now and this week hope to pick some tackle up off a mate after watching this Chanel. Thanks for putting the time in and banging out some brilliant stuff.
Hell yeah brother. Ask your mate for some good spots while youre at it. Makes getting into it again a lot easier :)
Was it trout season 🤔🤫😯, looking at bank foliage, don't think so 😡
Hey brother! I went out today and used a very similar lure setup you had and caught myself a fantastic brown trout. Thanks from upstate New York! And yes, before anyone asks, we’re in season here ;-)
Those first two Trout were stunners, superb catches Chris...
Berries > As a young teenager I watched a bloke pulling out huge roach on a stick float, he was fishing under an elderberry bush using the berries. Always told myself i'd return one day to have a go but never got round to it.good vid mate.
I once caught a nice roach from a very shallow stream in a park on a single piece of blackberry, was ace.
Match the hatch my guy! 😁
Chris your watermanship is unreal 👌🏻
You always treat your catch with so much care and dignity before releasing it.
I wish everybody did that.
Great video as always and what a beautiful trout was that!
❤❤❤❤❤❤

Now this is right up in my alley, we some beautiful chubs around Barcelona as well. Not to mention trout😎🎣Awesome video Chris, thank you!
Great video. Second trout looks like a tiger trout cross between brook and brown trouts. 🎉🎉
No mate it’s a stocked brown trout you get different pattens when there in captivity and bread differently
I agree a stocked tiger trout,, may hav escaped from a fishery in a flood,, but yeh I agree looks like a tiger,, a cracker either way it was 🎉
@@thewelshfisherman6788 But what would a stocked brown trout be doing in a river like this
@@wicked-witch-of-the-westLiving it's life. The owners of the water probably stocked them.
@@samuelgarrod8327 Its a river...how are they stocked
Thanks for your commitment to your videos......
Can't be easy putting vids out quickly as you can....
Appreciate it 👍
Love getting the notification for your videos this one looks like a banger ❤
I wish our rivers round here looked half as good as that. Great fishing👊
Your enthusiasm is infectious.Love your videography.
Another cracking video Chris pal 💯👌🏼

✌🏼💙🎣🏴👍🏼
Those trouts are beauties, amazing in such a shallow little river
Nice fishing as always Chris. And a relaxing Japanese music makes it complete.......crack on Mate
One of my favourite video from you Chris, smashing session man
Your an inspiration to all the ginger fisherman out there # gingerscanfishtoo
Hi Cris can you please share a link for that BFS set that you were using as it looks the pups nutz and Christmas is around the corner ; )
What is BFS 🎣 🤔 thankin advance from Scotland 🏴 👍🏼
@craigleth100 "bait finesse " aka light bait casting .
You've got to love brown trout. Native and stunning 👍
During my childhood in the early 1940's I lived in a small coal mining village hamlet. Our next door neighbours were very poor and relied on any wild rabbit, hare or fish the family boys caught. Real Quality BFS video, really enjoyed that more of this type of BFS style of uploads please Chris this my style of fishing.
Love u man thank u for what u do
As a fisherman
U give me me the spark to get out there
Perch fishing on the Trent tomorrow wish me luck
Another brilliant video again, can't believe the amount of Chub in that swim 😮😮🎣🎣
That first Brown Trout was a total stonker and some cracking Chub, superb session
What beautiful trout! Well caught Chris.
Chris............Yes its a CHUB yes definitely a CHUB .......no its a TROUT............Love it!
Could be hybrid brown trout with sea trout h
Is the same fish anyway they can breed together
Amazing as always! Cracking catches and mind blowing videography! Loved the drone footage!
Would be cool to see you fish at Pitsford Reservoir! For being as big as it is it doesnt get much attention, you'd easily have the most viewed video on it, decent sized Pike and Perch there too! Love your content, you've got a heart of gold
Nice relaxing music again with them panpipes/chinese flute whatever it is. Very nice
Im not certain but that second trout looks a bit like a marbled trout, beautiful fish and the big brownie was fantastic!!! Brilliant vid as always Chris, better than stuff on telly!!!

Second fish looked like a tiger trout 😅🔥
Some proper chunks! Great vid! 👍
What an absolute beauty of a brown trout well done mate!! As an avid fly fisherman feeling rather jealous!
what a lovly looking river with all that flowing weed, i remember the river severn with flowing crows foot and now look at it
I love the little bits of random tangent looking at berries and stuff, the stuff that is happening around you. It's awesome. Shame no fiver today though haha.
Great vid as always...Thats lovely clean spawing gravel. Your likely tramping through trout redds at this time of year...
I have been fishing with both fly and BFS setups all season. Fishing with light tackle on the BFS is incredible, particularly for Trout, Perch, and Chub.
Lovely clear waters. Great upload 👌
Absolutely brilliant session that mate had a 5 pounder out on the maggots a few month ago on feeder my local river has got some beasts lurking also had a sea trout out 27" this year
I was looking through the titles of your videos, I see a theme for a series..... I Can't Believe It's Not Fishing! 😂😂😂
Is it possible they are autumn Sea-Trout? Is there any connection to salt water/esturine habitat?
Well done on another cracking little video Chris. What brand is that bfs combo set up, any ideas on price? Looks bang on for what i'm after for my first budget bfs set up, as I don't fancy paying too much.
Love ❤ your videos,
They just keep getting better & better...😃👍🏻
Cracking Video Chris and some beautiful captures, the two Brownies were exceptional.

Would you be able to maybe do a short video of casting and setup on a BFS rod and reel
Oh my dace! Beautiful fish those two 🤙🎣
Chris, just wondering if those are spawning redds I'm seeing in the creeks. It looks like some areas have been cleaned and prepped for spawning.
That is a beautiful brownie , massive tail on it too
I guess you use braid? What lb line do you use? Do you need a wire hook length or anything incase of pike? Thanks
2:49 Did that chub have tose little white dots like male bream?
Big toes ....
Hey man, thank you for These nice Moments, trouts with that "Design" and time look like SEA trouts here in Germany, they move up in rivers which have only chobs and other fish in summer, is that river moving to Lake?
Hi Pal, what was the BFS rod / reel combo you were trying ??
Another cracking video man, really enjoyed it, i would love to get over to gb to fish for chub , barbel, from N ireland were we dont have them. Next fishing trip in the making 😊 🎣🎣🎣
Chris, get some unigear crampons on ya waders. Work well in muddy snow mint on riverbeds over slippery rocks.
Chris love you videos. Was concerned that you took the risk of wading into - rocky fast flowing water especially when fishing alone.
hi mate , what would you say the best pair of polarised glasses are for all round river fishing ?
Fantastic Chris.
Hi Chris, nice fish and a lovely looking river. Thanks for sharing your video, some brown trout can look very silvery.
Brown trout have red spots
They are sea trout
What bfs set up are you using Chris?
Some lovely fish caught this session. Those trout! 😮
Love it, let’s see you get some giant pike on the dead bait :)
Great fishing looks nice just for a bead bait on that corner part of the river at the end of the video 🎣
Trout were brilliant. More trout videos please!
2 questions why are you called the ginger fisherman?? And what brand is the rod a BF? I missed it.
That trout looked a bit like a marmorata, a very rare subspecies usually only found in places like italy and slowenia
Awsome video Chris🎣 some nice trout
I agree - a tiger trout. I didn’t know they existed in England but in the USA they are relatively common.
It's a brown trout. There are no tiger trout in the UK unless they've been illegally stocked.
Plus tigers get really orange on the belly when they get bigger , Browns do get those Atlantic salmon like markings sometimes and there's a million different strains .
Brilliant video and what a lovely river ❤
And you were worried about being cold.... Ha! Those fish made you forget about it quick. Nice session is right,
Great video 🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣
One of the best going Chris!
Nice session Chris. 👍👏👏👏👏👏
i see you've found my chub spot, great fish down there
Hi mate what’s the BFS set up you are using ?
Wow what an awesome trout man. Chub weren’t bad either lol 🎣
do some more perch deadbait videos. love watching them.
Should get some metal studs for them boots would have made it up them rapids with ease! Great video and awesome trout!
Amazing catches. I was just wondering, looking to the sizes of them chubs, what is your record lengthwise?
I am from the Netherlands where chubs are not that common. The national record is 59 cm. A few months ago I caught my PB of 52 cm 😊

Absolutely gorgeous Brown. Well done!

Wow what a lovely catch well done you aren't they lovely, nice to eat as well.
They are sea trout running up from the sea to Spawn, after a week in fresh water they lose their silvery hue and resemble brown except they don't have any red spots.
My thoughts
No there’s are brown trout not sea run mate secound fish it a stocked trout
Yes looks like a stockie from somewhere
Heya mate, I’ve been trying to catch a pike for so long but have been unsucessful. live in the Wirral, do you know any reliable spots?
Chris you should go back to that forgotten pond where you caught 2 big pike on that over grown pond with that blue lure cause you said you would go back with your float tube
Another great video, and fish, as always👍🎣. Just wondering what cameras and bit you use to make your videos?
Smashing videos as all ways love them all bud got 2 questions if u have time to anser wot do you use for underwater footage an do u use a mic or is that audio from the go pro say comes thought relly good 👍 smashing carmt wait for the next video bud
Piękna rzeka, super łowienie i piękne ryby. Świetne
Has the water contact to the sea? The big fish could be seatrout. They are changing color when entering fresh water.
Your second trout looks like the more muted patterns that you seen on "tiger trouts", which is a hybrid of a brown trout and a brook trout. Any chance that there are some brookies around your spot?
That's a beauty Chris.
Absolutely brilliant content again..😂
The berries were sloe berries mate . Make great wine and sloe gin . Doubt the chub eat them though mate . They take the skin off yer teeth ! 😄. Lovely vid 👍
Hello, can you tell me what set you used and what is the name of this river?
Live the videos buddy... can I ask what make of reel you were using in this vid please.
