I just finished installing it on my 2017 KIA K900 9.2" screen. I noticed in their website they have a newer version (KPLAY2) that has wireless Android auto and screen mirror so i took a chance and bought that one instead. It works perfectly, one thing tho is you will need a 3.5mm audio to RCA cable to hook it up to the aux port. And you won't need the noise device he used in the video. I recommend buying the KPLAY 2 if you own an android device and want wireless Android auto , if you have an apple you can just stick to the first gen one.
Hello! How you figured it out to use exactly the green/red cables for the switching between the head unit and the carplay device? Is there any wiring diagram for this Assy ibox?
I need your help have a 2015 genesis ultimate, it has only rear camera and I order KPLAY2 and it all function working fine expect rear camera not switch when use carplay. DIP order off off on off on off on on off off
So this works on a 2015 Genesis Ultimate? I have one, and have trying to find a way to hook up car play and can’t. Did you ever get the backup camera to function while in car play?
I just purchased a 2015 K900. I know the link states that it will work for the year. My issue is that in 2016 Kia put a touch screen on the K900. My 2015 is not a touch screen. Do I need to purchase a compatible touch screen or is my screen actually compatible as a touch screen once I install the conversion hardware? Thanks in advance.
Hello. I ordered the part from the site. The shipment arrived for a Kia K900, but there is no not have BOX ASSY The screen is different from your car because you know the car model kia 2014. k900
That is why I would have recommended you to double check if this Kit is compatible with your car Model. Unfortunately looking at the documentation, this Kit only works with K900 from 2015 and above. You state you have a 2014, so this might not be compatible, another thing you could have done is open the dashboard and check before ordering.
Where did you get the touch screen? So you have a aftermarket unit also? And where did you get the aftermarket head unit? If so what year kia k900 do you have.
@AJsRandomVideos i have the kit in my 2015 gen ultimate imo its way overpriced the touch sucks, no function of the jog dial, any idea how to watch netflix/youtube
@@jettafl I just purchased one as well only to find out car play doesn’t work for ultimate. Does this kit allow CarPlay onto the screen of the 2015 Hyundai Genesis ultimate?
@@chasearthur2513 hi Chase Arthur, I haven't bought one yet, I was waiting for someone else to post how the end product was functioning on the Gen Ultimate.....how did your finish product look like, how difficult was the install??
@@jettafl yeah those are my exact questions. I reached out to the person above who said he has it and installed it, now just waiting for a response. Also I’d like to know if the navigation on CarPlay will show up on the heads up display like the original navigation does. I’ll let you know if I get anywhere and I hope you will do the same. Thanks
Netflix/UA-cam are video apps and that's not what CarPlay or Android Auto is made for. For me the price was not overpriced, it's a product that helped get me what I wanted and for me personally the price is justifiable. Double check your Touch connection. My touch was glitchy until I calibrated it and made sure the cable connection was good. I have multi-touch working also, also able to drag around on the map without any glitches.
Do you know if this works on the 2015 hyundai genesis sold in europe? 9.2 inch nav, asked the seller but they couldn't answer it, said it should work if it has the same lvds and power cable, but how can i find that out?
@@blowawayvids I don't know for certain, but I've traveled to Korea and the Genesis sedans there match what we have in the states. I suspect that European models are also identical. It's really expensive to develop telematics for cars - I would be very surprised to find that there is a European system and a North American system. They're most likely the same but I don't know how to verify this for you.
@@blowawayvids - Installation went very smoothly with one exception. I suspected that the dash panel didn't just clip on and after removing the right side panel at the end of the dash (simply clips) I saw 2 screws that had to be removed to release the dash trim near the screen and radio. The trim encompassed a vent, the wood panel, and the hazard flashers. Once those 2 screws were out, panel popped right out although with a little more force than needed on my BMW or Audi that had similar work performed. I used plastic trim removal tools which I highly recommend. After that, everything was really obvious - I removed visible screws and once removed, additional trim panels unclipped with trim removal tools or in the case of the screen, simply released for service or access. I think I should have tucked the boxes behind the glovebox instead of taking up space in the box itself. You might consider this.
That other Kit was by another place in Korea which I contacted via email while doing my research for this. They don't have any link or website, the 4th documentation piece I have in description is from them. Basically it seems they where just re-selling this same kit.
Yup this will get you Android Auto working(only wired Android Auto). Take apart your head unit and find which LVDS cable you have(black or white) and take note of which screen size you have. That all matters on which unit you will order. Also take note if you would need a LVDS extension cable, as I did in my setup.
Yes, this will work although I believe that you may be eligible for Carplay from Hyundai. If you are not eligible, then this setup will work. This was not a difficult install. Just be aware that you need to remove the panel at the right end of the dashboard to access two screws that hold the main dashboard assembly in place. Once those screws are out, the video provides a terrific guide.
@@diamondmit Much Thanks. I actually did order and have it installed. It does work, however very glitchy. For example while I have it on, I may get a phone call and the whole screen will then go black and I’ll have to restart.
@@tyepennycooke3187 - I haven't had that experience yet. The system is the first gen and its installed in my wife's 2015 Genesis Ultimate. We only use CarPlay and so far, system works perfectly. We totally love it and have no broken clips, or similar issues. I dropped a screw (took me 20 minutes to find it with a magnet) and I dropped a wire snap connector that I retrieved immediately. Very easy installation and successful product implementation. I wish I had more supportive suggestions for you but I don't really play in the Android world much anymore.
Yes this will work for the Cadenza. Check links in the description to find if it will work for your model. I would also recommend taking apart headunit and taking pictures of the ports behind the screen and headunit to check the documentation and see if the plugs and ports match.

Nice video bro. One question, if you have rear seat screens, does this get mirrored there as well?
No, this is only for the main Head Unit, as this unit acts as a middle man between the Main Screen and the Radio Unit.
