    I think it's much nicer without the red food dye. why didn't you use coconut oil in the pastry? Thank you for the upload :-))

    loving your work miquel! Just to share a cooks tip about the dough/pastry- after you make the dough/pastry if you put in the refrigerator wrapped in lining paper for 30minutes to 'relax' the dough then take it out and roll the pastry and cut shape out- it will be easier to roll, will crack much less (if at all) and will achieve a prettier end presentation. I'm sure it taste just great either way....I'm making it. xx

    Loved this recipe, everyone who tasted these Plantain Tart raved about them. I have to let you know I made one adjustment. Instead of the red food coloring I added one medium sized cooked beet root to give it the red color. I also preferred to use a food processor. Thanks

      charlene hibbert I did the same thing I don't like the food colouring idea I also use some red strawberries or Jam I USED coconut oil instead of butter or Shortening.

    MiQuel is that a cup of flour or a pound like your website suggest?

      ½ to pound; or cup of Flour (start with ½ cup) combine to flakes. (use the extra 1/2 cup flour for rolling and forming). I will make it clear on the website, thank you.
