Saved my year old elite controller. I've been trying to figure out how to fix it while in this quarantine and this video just saved me. Now I can get back to playing Rainbow Six Siege with no drift. 😀

Hey dude, I'm much obliged. Side note, I didn't have any bottled rubbing alcohol, but I had alcohol wipes, and if balled it up and squeezed it and that made the alcohol come out and it still worked!

My god this video helped me so much. My elite controller has been broken for a year. It would look left and right at normal speed but it went really slow when I flicked up and down, it moved really slowly. I did this trick and it works perfectly. This whole time, I could’ve found this video a long time ago
It's an awesome amount of chemistry going on here. Isopropyl alcohol is used as a solvent and dissolve all the sweat, dead skin, and shit that grimes up your controller. This dude is awesome!

Is there a way to petition that this guy gets a Presidential Medal of Freedom or a Congressional Medal of Honor or something? Besides the fact that this saved my corona-quarantine ("coronatine", if you will) from being an Xbox-deprived nightmare and allowing me to actually complete Layers Of Fear, this must be one of the few "How to repair" UA-cam videos where the instructions ACTUALLY WORK!
I actually couldn't find rubbing alcohol what with the current shortage so I bought those alcohol pads that you use to rub on your arm before an injection. It was still 70% isopropyl.
