Here’s some tips for fighting galleons as a sloop: 1. Avoid their broadside 2. Keep the fight at long range to start 3. Firebomb their top deck 4. Stay alert for boarders 5. Use close range weapons because you will be getting spam boarded 6. If the enemy is spam boarding you, then their bilge is vulnerable on their own ship 7. Grapple gun is great for boarding galleons 8. Chainshot and high tier food are the most important supplies to have The best order of operations for taking down a galleon as a sloop is: 1. Set fires and open up holes from a distance to force one of them to focus on repairs 2. Chainshot their masts 3. Board to anchor 4. Have your teammate position perpendicular to their galleon to make holes (never be in their broadside) 5. Keep their anchor down so they can’t turn to return fire
I only recently started playing with the release on PS5 but I’m horrible in combat. I’d shudder if I knew my own k/d ratio. But still, I love this game and only wish my skills were better, it’d be even more fun.
Recently, I was getting chased by a 2 crew sloop. I was solo. I was sailing straight into open ocean, then decided to jump ship and let them chase and empty boat for 20 minutes as i spectated from an island. It was an entertaining win.
The change in the blunderbuss completely missed the mark. Was intended to make it more of a defensive weapon for sloops against boarders, but since you can steer yourself midday air, they’ve rendered the weapon completely ineffective in all situations…
I remember a while back I was solo slooping and had a crew following me when I had nothing on board. We both ended up sinking with only one of them alive and I killed him. They were reaper V and I took their flag and my rowboat back to reapers hideout and sold it for a tidy sum. Told the guy thanks for the gold and he kept saying they won just because I sunk. In my view I was the winner because I actually made something off them and didn't lose anything 😂
Thats right. I FOR SURE have felt like I won as I lie as a ghost in the ship of the damned and with my ship on the bottom of the sea. How were you guys sailing back to them and by a fricking skeleton fort they had time to search for a keg tho? X) That looked like a horrible decision. They could keg you, shoot you from their galley, or shoot you from the skeleton fort. All you guys had to do was sail against the wind and take that to the edge of the map and sink with it in the red sea. Dropping it was a fallible idea. As they are chasing you they can just harpoon it as you drop it if they are half smart. I have done just that Although for SURE they lost a good amount of loot just from the first sink. Even if they recovered everything you picked up, they ALSO lost what they didnt stop to pick up. Really nice you showed them a lesson tho. Stacking is a constantly growing risk, and essentially BEGGING for PvP.
I love this video, me and my brother play, and we are terrible. We got spawn camped by a level 4 reaper. They were taunting us. We could do nothing. I wish we could have had revenge on them. I am living vicariously through this video. :)
I just had something odd happen. So I was tucked in the crows nest on the Burning Blade and it was fighting a PvP galleon when all of the sudden the Burning Blade just vanishes.
Squiddy, noticed your a fellow Xbox sailor, any tips for me? I don’t have a Pc, and I’m not spending hundreds of dollars just to have a better system for sea of thieves.
Dumping their loot over piece by piece is so evil 😂 cause if they stop to get one piece u get away with the rest and they lose you but if they chase you they lose all the loot
From the "did Diddy do it" name I figured this was recent. But was this from back in the day when you can still 1 blunder or were these dudes Just never eating and you were getting crazy luck on pellet spread and hit reg?

Galleons don't scare me, but a sloop with nothing to lose is the most terrifying thing on the seas.
I think a galleon with nothing to lose except 8 gun powder barrels (gifts) is a lot more terrifying

@shadow_Wizard627 Kegs are more scary for the ship carrying them. If they have 8 all you need to do is hit 1 then they won't have any.
