I fitted the new Philips direct fit Ultinon Access 20W. H7 bulbs , they fitted perfectly and they have a 3 years guaranty. In the E.U. they are road legal. And Philips is not a niche market producer. So I give it a try.
Could you update if those bulbs still hold up nicely? It'll be great to get long term user feedback. Some users say they don't last long compared to halogen bulbs.
You always put the led chips facing at 3 and 9 o clock. Straight up and down. The reason they give you two options is because some housings need the other option in order to be at 3 and 9 oclock.
just bought some h1 (for some reason my e36 1998 convertible 328i is with h1 socket) and i use it for high beams, its very nice. i wonder if they're too bright / useful for regular "head lights" or i can keep my halogen oem stock headlights for city driving / incoming traffic

I have a bmw e90 just recently installed these but I keep getting a malfunction error on my left low beam only and works fine. Could it just be that I installed the left one wrong or do I need a decoder? My right low beam is fine no error popping up for that one
The bulb angle depends on your reflector shape ..... Not hi or low . Each application will have different Reflector Shape ... You just have to try both angles in your own Situation . So having a Wall for beam reference is nice.
I've tried many led bulbs in the past. On initial operation they are bright but once they heat up they are barely visible 😡 Do these stay crisp and bright after say an hour of driving❓

Technically, no , led bulbs are not legal, not even in you rear or indicators, in the uk, but its a law not really enforced, if ever, tho MOTS will be fussy sometimes.
Just to inform everybody.. I bought this exact same bulb from auxito, installed on my Suzuki Grand Vitara G3 2011, it has projector headlight for that lamp(low beam h7). I gotta say, im disappointed with the results in terms of brightness. OEM Led headlights from Honda and Toyota cars were clearly way brighter than mine.. So if you have projector headlights, got for the ultra bright lamps with 16 chips. This one has only 8 (4 each side). ---------- ABOUT THE COLOR: I enjoyed very much. Looks nothing blueish. it has kinda of OEM color.
I think the issues you are going to have with these are they do not have heat sinks or fans. Second is that there does not seem to be Canbus so in newer vehicles you may get "Light Out" warnings on your dash. I would not buy them.
I bought these as a high beam and they are garbage, don’t know about low beam I’m using a different brand with a fan and drivers that work well but I’m going back to halogen high beam

Does your projector housing has a duat cap. Im concerned about the heat inaside of projector while traveling ?

Mine have gotten really dim for some reason, had them for over a year. Regular bulbs work fine on the car.

no no flickering at all
Don't know if you've already solved, but to remove the flicker you need to use a decoder

What are the rules for LED bulbs? Is it ok just to swap halogen for LED?
Always get the ones in the photo not the other ones!! the bulbs must shine left and right ONLY they work WAYYYYY BETTER!!
How are they holding up? Also about cooling etc. If the heat remains in the light housing, is it enough to melt snow?
So far so good, not too sure about winter I don't want to drive the car never would've thought of that

Definitely per pair ( 2 bulbs ) so 40 W each

Try switching the right light with the left light.
You might need to add a resistor if that doesn't help
Because your car does not recognize the LED so it thinks it is broken/wrong.

If you hook it up backwards it just doesn't work
Dahaaam that is very bright i was wandering what the heat difference is so it doesnt cook the lenses.
I think they are cooler than the original lightbulbs, doesn’t feel hot because it’s a led light bulb

They work great in the projection lights haven’t tried them in a regular light that’s not a projection tipe

Disagree. I have Auxito H7 in my Seat Leon and the beam pattern is not great and the light output is no better than regular halogens.
Yep they are straight up garbage. Hikari, or fahren or novsight are the top brands.
