I've been entertained by this game. One of the best games for the GameCube. For those out there who still has a GameCube, I highly recommend to purchase this game if it's still possible. Great game! :D

I do have a life, but realize it took me between 50-100 tries to beat some of those missions on Very Hard. And holy crap, some of them made me want to throw my controller through the TV. jk. After a certain number of tries, it's almost a reflex to pull off some maneuvers, like leaning hard to the side or boosting. I did it without hacks, so I know others can too.

Producer: "Awesome! Let's add flying and other glitches that makes normal driving obsolete too!" "Yayy!!" I believe that official statement was meant to cover up their mistake.
I recently finished the diamond cup on master with my favourite, the Sonic Phantom since its maximum speed, ~1105km/h, is quite decent and makes it approx. the 7th fastest machine and it has an A rated boost. On the one hand you always have to get the best position possibe but on the other hand you won't do well enough without eliminating rivals.
Phantom Road is extremely dangerous (in case opponents send you off the course) so I suggest to get as many points as possible in the previous races to stay on top in the rankings regardless of your position on Phantom Road (also your nerves wouldn't stand a failure on the last metres...) Try to kill at least 5 opponents for an extra life everytime you're on CTT and don't forget about black shadow since he is the most evil rival.
i beat the game a second time after losing my memory card xD if you got all parts, feel very bored and got some spare time left you could spend it on tinkering around with the custom parts in order to find those "special" combinations^^ I just hapened to realize that all those pages that helped me getting the completel ist of vehicles went offline... awesome game! i should dig it out again
That seventh level in story mode on hard and very hard is a bitch to beat. But if you take out Black Shadow and Blood Falcon you're free to easily win the race.
I didn't know you could do snaking till I was trying to beat a ghost in Outer Space (I think it was Pico) and then I saw him moving from side to side like friggin drunk, I was like "wtf... ok i'll try it lol"
yeah, go look on wikipedia, it states; "According to Nintendo, the snake technique was an intentional addition to F-Zero GX's gameplay." So snaking is anofficial move, if Nintendo din't want it in, they would have simply said it is a bug/glitch in the game.

Well concentrating on kicking out contenders every first round of a race is not that easy, your goal should always be to get the highest possible rank if you still struggle to finish the diamond cup on master at least once. I just finished it with samurai goroh, again it only took me 1 extra life on CTT (including kicking black shadow) and some 2 or three more rival-kickings in the following races. Position is everything, thats why no opponent could catch up with me after four races again...
To proceed in story mode you only need to beat the chapters on Normal difficulty. You can unlock the following things by beating... all lvls on Normal: Dark Schneider Hard: custom parts (very useful!) all lvls on Hard: Magic Seagull Very Hard: AX machines btw @ bign3ck: you cannot use custom vehicles in story mode lol But 'Master Work' (a custom machine) really kicks ass - it takes: Sky Horse + Moon Snail + Titan-G4 It's well-balanced and abnormally fast for its weight - get it!
O ya, a hint that one day they'll make F-Zero for DS. In Animal Crossing: Wild World, there is a hidden F-Zero GX Blue Falcon decor. that can be unlocked by ARDS. I got one from a friend. =P
I still need to get through the Story mode on extreme... the grand prix shown there and Captain Falcons Training are the two last missions I have to clear.. then I should have every driver and all custom parts.. But I can't do it, it's so hard..

@minkusink6 i have not played this in years, so ill tell you to look it up. all i remember is that certain garage crafts called paper crafts can be flown into the air using the snaking technique. google it... IT WILL BLOW YOUR MIND
I just bought GX for 9 bucks, haven't play it yet, but I like AX which I played some years ago in the arcades. It had a Gamecube slot for some reason o_o
I had my Fzero Gx all abandoned, when i bought it i just played it in grand prix mode for fun, recently i have been playing it again, and realized there are so many things to do in it. I just got rainbow phoenix a couple of days ago lol i had no idea there were secret cars. Playing in very hard mode is fucking exciting. weee !
I cleared every mission on the hardest difficulty EXCEPT the one were you're saving Jody Summers from the explosion. Srsly..... 99% concentration is too less in that mission T_T
Sorry about the double post. My point is that snaking is like if in order to make Mario jump higher, you'd have to press all of the buttons at the same time or something as unconvenient.

Not a glitch, the developers admitted to deliberately putting it in the game. It is by no means easy either. Probably best suited for time trials.

Snaking destroyed the game for me. Doing it tiring and a chore and not fun, but can't get good times without it.
